This video made me very emotional. I'm Italian but my family is from Albania and I see that there are a lot of similarities between Russia and Albania. My grandparents have always been very poor and their house is like yours (animals, vegetable garden, interiors, etc ..) but every time I go in Albania to vist them I'm overwhelmed by their warmth and sense of family and coziness. It's just so magical, it reminds me a lot of my childhood and innocence. Stay safe, lots of love from Italy ❤

You can tell when a family home is full of love, memories, and happy times. Make as many of them as you can. You'll cherish these videos in the long run even if they're for fun and fame now. I see from the comments that many of us relate being lucky enough to have grown up with some grounding in the beauty of old-world simplicity and family surrounding us. I think this is my fav of your videos because it has so much heart. (But keep up the funny stuff!!) You've got a magical relationship with the camera (and editing). At some point your humble channel's numbers are going to explode.

first of all: great video, wonderful documentation, your Family is great !
I understand you now, if you always want to go to your grandparents,
thank you for a little excursion into your childhood. Big big Tanks :)
Somehow it reminds me of my childhood, I grew up in a small town,
my grandparents lived in the country and my aunts had a huge farm.
I can still remember one thing, the first time I saw an ox, it was so huge, twice as tall as me
I was really scared of the cattle :) of course there were sheep and chickens there ...
I had a great childhood there. Unfortunately there is nothing left of all this, everything is gone, only memories remain.
But the city has never let go of me, and today I live in a cosmopolitan city that everyone knows :)
But I love nature, you can see, feel and smell so many things. As a city dweller, i enjoy that.

@Nesty Russian, it is so good to see your appreciation for your granny's home and the old memories with all of their simplicity. I've just found your channel and only watched a few of your videos so far, but I can already tell that they all show how open, kind, thoughtful, and fun of a person you are. Apart from one or two fellow students in college, I've never known any Russians, so up until now I could only think of stereotypes when it came to what Russian people are like. However, as loads of Russian channels are popping up for me on UA-cam these days with all the things going on over there, now I'm getting to hear many bright young Russians speak. It makes me realize that while each country and society is different, none of them are good or bad, noble or evil, per se. Rather, all of them are made up by individuals with their own unique character. And all of them have governments constituted by more or less individuals, who are lead by their own aspirations and desires whether they be good or bad, noble or evil. Be safe, and God bless!

your Grandfather is quite the character! Several times he stuck out his tongue. And I ,being a young child of the 1960s in the USA . If I did that , my mom would say . If you keep doing that it will stay that way! :-) Just like if I crossed my eyes. I like how you interviewed your family. And the dog is so adorable! We had a handpump in our kitchen sink, that was it. When we got a different house moved to our rural area we got an indoor toilet when I was about 7 yrs old. Winter was so hard trying to make it the distance to the outhouse ! I still have memories of that !

Very interesting look into a Russian village house. I myself have only been to Saint Petersburg in Russia many years ago, and that was a totally different place, for certain.
From a Danish 🇩🇰 point of view, I guess some/many would say, that the house looks poor and worn, but I kind of like it, due to it being so different. Carpets on the wall is something you would never see in Denmark (there can always be the odd exception, of course) and there is also a lot of self-supplies with food and vegetables, that is not very common in Denmark. So Russian village life is certainly different from Danish village life. Farmers here would seldom have just three hens and one pig, as farming is industrialized - so instead it would be thousands of chickens or pigs. And nothing else. What is most important, though, is if people are happy and content, and they certainly seem to be so in your village.

To tell the story of my family would take ages, my mother who lives in the house i was born in was the youngest of her family. Her mother and father were born in 1884 and 1880. She is 97 and i am her 4th child of eight, I was delivered by an aunt and named after my grandfather on my fathers side. There was less than 12 years between eldest and youngest. My mothers eldest sister lived in the country and her house was very similar to your home, she had chickens in the yard. She was considerably older than my mother and her children were almost as old as my mum. We lived in a brand new house built around 1950 with a medium sized garden. My older sisters lived in temporary accommodation before that in post war "camps" while housing was prioritised. It was a time of rationing orange juice, codliver oil and dried milk powder. (Dietary supplements to help prevent malnutrition). Primary school started when i was 5 and had 36 pupils in the class. There were 14 classes with 2 intakes one at easter and one in autumn. School went from 900 to 1515. With an hour break at noon. On Saturday afternoon we went to the cinema and i would relentlessly relate the action while my mother made dinner in the kitchen. All the local kids went together, so the mums had missed out.

I didn't understand why this gave me such Borat vibes, but now I see that Khvorostyanka is only 150 kilometres from Borat's beloved Kazakhstan. Of course, in the movie those scenes were shot in far-off Romania, in Глод (Дымбовица), to be exact. And most of Kazakhstan is obviously further away than the closest point. Nice video anyway!

Had no idea black cats crossing your path were also a thing in Russia as well. The old house was great. It's interesting actually, I'm not that much older than you, and remember my grandmother taking me to the rural farmhouse she grew up in(with 10 siblings) which was quite similar, maybe even smaller. I remember them showing me the little dirt road - which is still just a tiny dirt lane - they would walk for 5 miles to the nearest church every Sunday regardless of weather; this is Canada so we too know something of winter.
Seems that rural life in pre-war Canada and Russia were not so different.

It’s perfect, look like my grandmother house in northern Iraq I used to visit her every summer. Love from Canada. God bless Russia.

In iran when u go to a village most of the house doors are open and u can get in (but they have dogs that protect the house from thifes).

I see that's interesting, in Russia no one keeps their doors opened 😅

@@AgentNesty Here in mountains of California, we have seven cars and trucks. since it is small and quiet area, we just leave doors open and keys in vehicles most of all times. Very little crime. Well, we also have big German shepherd dogs and lots of pistols and shotguns, so that makes it a bit safer, just in case. Here, we often shoot at targets from the balcony as do the neighbors [Quite far away] it is not considered unusual at all. You are quite the beauty in many ways. I know this life well, my family from Slovakia and I have tiny garden house in village in Poland. Good video!

@@RRaucina Speaking from Canada, there are practical reasons for not leaving doors open: freezing to death between October and May being chief among them.
