Be careful putting the 4 speed in a pre 1975 Vega with a V8. You can twist the car and pop out the windshield . From 1975 and on Chevrolet made some changes with the H body platform for the Monza . The Monza had the V8 option . The 1975 and later H body cars were stronger platforms. Adding a roll cage will help stiffen your car. They are fun little rides.
Woah jeez. I was only worried about the rear end, and I was thinking I would just never gun it from a dig. That’s pretty wild 😂 I have never really had insane acceleration/speed In mind, just a good v8 sound and shifting gears in an old American car. I appreciate the comment, I’ll definitely keep that in mind!
The stock rear isn't that bad if you keep the stock size tires and wheels. A fellow V8 Vega friend years ago tried to break the stock rear before he installed the shortened 12 bolt. It didn't break. It just burned the tires . @@ddubsgarage8285
Just not sure. I am really backed up with side projects for customers, and those take priority because I will be getting paid for them. This is how it ends up getting neglected like this. I’m just so busy. But I have the parts for it, just a matter of time now.
I'd call that VEGA a Sleeper car. Thanks for sharing you're progress.
If I ever finish it it will be 😅 thanks!
