This has to be the best, proffesional report about bronies that I have seen so far. It is not biased, and it neither insults or praises us. It is simply an informative report that I would recommend almost anyone wanting to learn about bronies to watch. By the way, the convention was awesome!

I'm part of an Australian army reserve infantry battalion. I happen to know that 1/4 of my battalion and roughly the same of one of our active service battalions are Bronies. A Battalion is roughly 1300 men. Add that to your mathematics.

That's a United States military thing, but if they did, mine would be 11D, because i'm a rifleman. And I have gone to university, I have a degree in Ancient history, Military history and Journalism. The first two were part of an arts degree and I majored in both. The last was a separate unit.
And it took forever, but I finally realized that I'm the kind of person who will never attend a convention of any kind ever, Brony or not. Unless Chevrolet has some sort of convention lmao. But yeah, I'd like to think the guy describing Soarin didn't really give the most accurate description (the asshole in me wants to say that guy had some screws loose). I mean what's so hard to grasp about a community of people liking a show a lot? yeah its targeted for children but the artist who made this series also made many peoples childhoods who are the 21 year old bronies, Lauren Faust she made Power Puff girls, Fosters home for imaginary friends , and the list goes on but I mean just... its not really different from Whovians or something else its just that its about ponies, it had deep story, vibrant colors etc. the things that make people want to watch it in the first place, most people would be like "I see why they like this" by just watching the first episode, instead they just go "oh it has the pink color and is about ponies it makes them all sissies and idiot pervert freaks".

Meh, that's more of just a realistic reaction to hearing about bronies for the first time. It is a rather hard concept to grasp. As for the reporter guy, he was just trying to create a mood for the report, I'm sure it was nothing personal.

Topping lists is an accomplishment. Personally, I do not like Justine Bieber. His music doesn't sit right with my type of music. I cannot deny however that he has accomplished a lot. He probably won't become a music 'legend' because I know he will never sit in the same seat as Freddie Mercury, Aretha Franklin, or John Lennon. The same goes for MLP, you cannot deny its accomplishments. You may not like it and it may not sit well with you, but it is popular for a reason.
