hello, I accidentally entered my wallet passphrase on a website. What do I do? Even if i create a new passphrase, can the pi from my old one be transferred to the new one?
I already created a new wallet, bcoz my old wallet was exposed, I have a future migrated coins nextyear set to be sent to the old wallet, will that balance be moved to the new wallet once I confirmed it to the checklist? Or still will go to the old wallet?
@REYTORNO-t5o Sir, I have my 24-word password, but I have doubts about why 20 Pi tokens disappeared from my available balance. I have only searched in the PI browser, I am afraid that I may have made a mistake in the address, and the site looks exactly the same as the original Pi browser. When I transferred the Pi tokens after unlocking them, in a few seconds, they disappeared from my available balance. Please answer me why my other Pi tokens are locked and I do not know what the solution is for the new wallet, why will my locked tokens be unlocked in a short period of time and I do not know what to do, please help 🙏🙏thank you in advance 🙏🙏🙏
In making a new passphrase knowing that the previous passphrase is in compromise, does migrated and balance coins will be affected? Something to start again mining from zero coin?

Sorry to hear that. Yeah, in that case, it's a lesson learned. Going to take you quite some time to earn that many Pi again. I'd recommend trying to invite a few people by spreading the word. Shouldn't be too hard if you tell them that: 1. no investment required 2. nothing to lose 3. I have coins migrated to my mainnet but not yet in my balance. If I create a new wallet, would be coins be transferred to the new wallet balance at maturity date? Thanks
No. Your wallet address is like your bank account number, which you can share with anyone so they can send you funds. The passphrase, on the other hand, is like your username and password. You should never share it, as it's the only thing that grants anyone who knows it full access to your wallet.

As mentioned, all you can do is set yourself a reminder for the exact time of the unlock and hope that you are faster in sending yourself the unlocked coins before the scammers also grab them.
That's an interesting claim. I don't recall anything like that in the white paper and would appreciate if you could let me know in which section of the white-paper that information is?

Please tell me whether i can use two wallets at a time..i got also scammer however 900 pi are locked till 2027.can i retain my old wallet as well as new wallet please reply
Sure, you can have multiple wallets. However, keep in mind, right now wallets have to get activated in order to be able to receive coins, and that activation happens when coins get migrated into the wallet. So, when you create a new wallet you won't be able to transfer coins to it, until that wallet also receives coins from a migration.
Thanks for your assistance. I tried to transfer coin to a newly created wallet and the system is showing the recipient address does not exist. Please what is wrong?
Sadly, the new wallet has to receive coins from another migration to get activated. (Didn't know that either). In the meantime, the best option to keep your coins "secure" would be to transfer them to a trusted friend that already received coins migrated and once your new wallet is activated he/she can send them back to you.
I have done it. Can i still access the old wallet to monitor activities there as the scammer has taken out 42 coins already? Is it also possible to transfer any current available to the new wallet?
@muhammadaamir8182 I think so cos I was still able to access it with the passphrase. However, I do not know if Pi still recognizes it as to transfer any token in the future into it
Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, there is NO way to access your wallet if you don't recall the passphrase. All you can do is, create a new wallet, update the mainnet checklist, and wait for the next migration to go to your new wallet as described in ua-cam.com/video/pGMETZzTOuM/v-deo.html
Need help please, I mistakenly copied from a notebook my husbands passphrase to my wallet . When he open his wallet after sometime it already displays *Invalid passphrase". It doesn't open anymore. What should we do since its not a scam thing or lost passphrase. Cant decide to create a new one because its already a mainnet wallet with coins in it.
Mhm, honestly don't know. He should have no problem unlocking the wallet as well, assuming the passphrase is correct. Best ask at reddit.com/r/PiNetwork
No. First, the mainnet checklist does not show the passphrase, only the wallet address. Second, that would mean that you didn't share your passphrase with someone but that they know your Pi app username and password, which you should then change in your Profile within the Pi app.
Pi that haven't yet been transferred will be transferred to the new wallet once you update both steps in the mainnet checklist. Pi that are already in your current wallet and are locked will stay there; you will have to transfer them to your new wallet once they unlock manually.
If you are lucky and whoever you shared your passphrase with isn't using a fully automated script you can set yourself a reminder for the exact date and time your coins are going to unlock and hope that you are faster in sending them to your new wallet than the scammers are. Besides that, you should report the scammer at support.help.minepi.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/1/create/16

My wallet is compromised, I have coins locked up in my mainet, If I create a new wallet, Wil the coins be transferred into the new wallet Ballance at the maturity date? Thanks
I have the same problem my passphrase got leaked. Then I created a new wallet when I'm trying to send PI to it it says "recipient address doesn't exist" apparently it's not confirmed on the mainnet. Any solution?
No, as explained in ua-cam.com/video/d6ZC5iVSanc/v-deo.html, you can't participate in the airdrop. I'd recommend you share what you think about that in an app review and on the official Bondex Discord server, so hopefully, the team removes that ridiculous requirement for the next airdrop.
Thanks for this video. I actually fell for a scam pi site, and i compromised my passphrase and my token stolen. I am going to try to create a new wallet right away. Is it possible to move remaining tokens to the newly created wallet?
The only way to access your wallet is by knowing its passphrase. So, while you might not remember doing it, you likely entered it on a phishing website that looks identical to the official page. That said, as mentioned in the video, there is nothing you can do but create a new wallet and update your mainnet checklist.
No, they are still in your old wallet, and once they unlock, you have to log in to your old wallet using the passphrase for that old wallet and send them to your new wallet.
Hey bro can we change the phrases of existing pi wallet ?i got scammed but fortunately my coins in lockup for 2026 how i finish this threat to save my coins ?plz help me
I don't believe you can. IMHO you can only hope that you are faster moving those coins into your new wallet once they unlock. That said, best ask at reddit.com/r/PiNetwork? Someone there might know another option/solution to the problem at hand. Just be cautious and ignore all DMs you receive + keep in mind NEVER to share your passphrase with anyone under any circumstances.
My problem is i created a new wallet and when i tried to test the pi wallet to see if it receives pi coins it always says "recipient address doesnt exist" if i set a reminder for the date how do i send my pi coins if my wallet keeps saying it doesnt exist
But why have I not been able to create a new wallet? It kept saying "An unknown error happened. Please try again later"to for the past 1 month now@@ChristianRauchenwald
Your new wallet is just that, a new wallet. If you still have coins in the old wallet, you'll have to send them to the new wallet manually. Also, don't forget to update the mainnet checklist so future migrations go directly into your new wallet.
You'll have to manually send your locked up coins, once they unlock, to your new wallet, which only takes seconds. To update the mainnet checklist, you just have to select the item in the checklist and follow the instructions on the screen.
Locked Pi becomes available after the lockup period ends. If someone else knows your wallet's passphrase, they can move those Pi once they unlock as well, unless you are somehow faster and manage to send them to a new wallet once they unlock.
Randomly went into my wallet. Saw my pi balance is zero and noticed a payment of all pi was made (245). Never shared my passphrase. Never opened links. 😢 thanks for this video.. Ill try and salvage my 86 locked pi to new wallet. 😢
No, the Pi in your "Pi Network" app haven't been migrated yet, so those would then go to your new wallet (don't forget to update the mainnet checklist with the new wallet information). Obviously, any Pi in your existing wallet are lost if you forgot the passphrase for that wallet.
There is no way to change the passphrase of your wallet. Regarding your locked coins you can only hope that you are faster in moving them once they unlock than the scammer.
That's how all crypto wallets work. It's not a security issue. It's by design. Each seed phrase is unique, and any "update" logic would not solve anything since whoever you shared your passphrase with would just change it, and you again wouldn't have access to your coins anymore.
Thank you for providing this information. So many pioneers will be scammed because of greed. Hold your Pi at least 1 year after the open mainnet and then make a decision to sell.
Hello By mistake my wife (she is in my group) put the home landline as her phone from which of course she can't send a message to certify it How can she change by putting her mobile phone She has passed Kyc and is on the step 9..... Thank you very much

Hi. Thanks for the info. I lost my available pi by getting it transferred without my actions. However now since I have learnt my lesson, please help me secure my migrated but locked up pi. Will I loose all my migrated- locked up pi if I create new wallet?
Your locked up Pi will stay in your existing wallet. You can set yourself a reminder for the exact date and time they unlock and hope that you are faster with sending them to your new wallet than whoever else knows your passphrase. Don't forget to update your mainnet checklist as explained in the video to ensure future migrations use your new wallet.
Thanks a lot. Kindly give me a thumbs up if I have understood correctly. 1) I note down the date and time of locked up pi's. 2) Create new wallet as per your explanation. 3) Be smart this time and secure my passphrase. 4) Once the lock up period is over, try to transfer the unlocked pi to new wallet as soon as possible to the new wallet. Actually what I noticed that the scammers are using some kind of automated method, where they transfer the pi's within a second once they are available. I don't know how will I match up their speed. I still have one year, hopefully till then the core team come up with a solution. Thankyou you once again. God Bless You ❤
Yes, that's it. Not all scammers are using fully automated scripts, and even if they do, they might just check your wallet let's say once per day and not every second. That's why it's worth a try to see if you are faster and can salvage those coins then.
Thanks a lot.@@ChristianRauchenwald Hopefully core team comes up with some more filters and conditions in future before one can transfer the Pi's. ❤God Bless You 🙏
First here. Christian I've missed you and your videos a lot, what really happened? I even had to come to your channel to check if you had new videos. Because I actually wanted to collaborate with you one day on my other UA-cam channel. I was also looking forward to seeing your channel get 100k subscribers. How has it been bro?
👋 Thanks. Life happened, and I had a lot going on in other areas. I had no time and little motivation/energy to work on content for this channel. Now, I'm slowly getting back into it. If you want to collaborate, you can either join our Discord and share your idea/proposal there or reach out via email (the email address is in the "about" section of the channel). All the best to you.
The unlock date is visible in the wallet. Nobody can tell you if the scam you fell for uses an automated script or has someone manually transfer the coins. Best set yourself a reminder for the exact day and time the coins unlock, and with some luck, you'll be faster than the scammers to at least save those coins.
While you might not remember it, you definitely shared you passphrase with someone, likely by entering it on a phishing website that looks identical to the official one. Nothing you can do about that now, other than creating a new wallet and being more careful in the future.
I created a new wallet but, I couldn't found it...always getting this anytime I try to transfer from my old account to the new one( that the recipient's address does not exist
Good luck they most likely will have it set up with a bot as soon as it's available. I would definitely look into setting one up myself in this situation.
Likely, but even a bot might not be programmed to issue the transaction at that exact moment but instead to just loop through the list of wallets regularly. So, it's IMHO worth a try, even if the odds are slim.
Technically, you can have two wallet. However, right now, each wallet has to be activated by receiving at least one migration into the wallet. Which brings up a problem, that I, unfortunately, did NOT consider when I made this video, because, while you are able to create a new wallet, you can't transfer coins into it from your existing wallet until that new wallet also receives coins from a migration (or until we reach the open mainnet). Long story short, best ask for "what to do" at reddit.com/r/PiNetwork? as the moderators there might know more than I do.
I have not shared my pi Pharaphase with anyone. On December 21 my pi was migrated to my wallet. With in 2 seconds it automatically transferred to another wallet. It was 2300 pi. Can some one help please?
You may not want to believe it or maybe you just forgot but you definitely entered you passphrase on a fake website or shared it in some other way. Passphrases are insanely secure by nature, and the only way to gain access to someone’s wallet is by knowing their passphrase. To quote: "Can someone guess my recovery phrase? There are 2 256 different possible 24-word mnemonic seed phrases. For comparison, the number of atoms on Earth is estimated to be around 2 166. The chance of someone else being able to guess your seed is astronomically small, to say the least."
I've locked up my pi 2 yrs ago for 3 yrs now my wallet have been hacked and my all pi have been stole can that scammer stole my locked up pi in future?
@@ChristianRauchenwalddoes my locked pi also transfer to scammer wallet before it unlocked?how to update in no. 8 ? how much time it takes to transfer my locked pi balance from my previous hacked wallet to my new wallet?
We don't know that yet but I assume first all users that passed KYC should receive their first migration before the then automated ongoing migrations will start.
The only way to access your wallet is by knowing the passphrase. There is no other way. So, while you might not recall it happening, you either shared your passphrase in a chat, screenshot, or similar fashion or entered it on a phishing website that looks identical to the official wallet page. That said, I'm sorry to hear that you lost some Pi, but if you follow the instructions in the video, you'll at least receive all future migrations in a safe way.
🤷 no idea. But sadly, a lot of users lose interest very fast and don't stay active, so I'd guess, at best, I'll see 10% of the balance that's visible (which still would be a lot).
Many thanks for your info, my PI wallet has been hack...so i need to create a new wallet for my future transfer... its big help for me...many thanks from a new subscriber...

All you can do is, create a new wallet, update the mainnet checklist, and wait for the next migration to go to your new wallet as described in ua-cam.com/video/pGMETZzTOuM/v-deo.html
When we are going to confirm our new wallet . Enter the paraphrase then click. It show " an unknown error happened. Please try again later "
Mhm... I'd say, try again later and if that doesn't help ask for help at reddit.com/r/PiNetwork
Will our transferable balance get lost if we reset Passphrase
No.
after creating a new wallet, won't the scammers still get the new passphrase from the main net checklist step 2?
@@ChristianRauchenwald How to transfer them manually if a new wallet is already created?
Use the old passphrase to log into the old wallet and then transfer them as shown in ua-cam.com/video/txIsmI3o6So/v-deo.html
Hi dear! Is there any way to make safe my locked migrated pi to wallet if i leaked my passphrase?
If you are lucky and whoever you shared your passphrase with isn't using a fully automated script you can set yourself a reminder for the exact date and time your coins are going to unlock and hope that you are faster in sending them to your new wallet than the scammers are.
Besides that, you should report the scammer at support.help.minepi.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/1/create/16
@ChristianRauchenwald but Sir is there any method available in pi administration to stop scamer from stealing my locked migrated pi?its my five years work....😪😪😪😪
I already answered your question in my previous reply.
My wallet is compromised, I have coins locked up in my mainet, If I create a new wallet, Wil the coins be transferred into the new wallet Ballance at the maturity date? Thanks
Congratulations on your very informative video!
I have the same problem my passphrase got leaked. Then I created a new wallet when I'm trying to send PI to it it says "recipient address doesn't exist" apparently it's not confirmed on the mainnet. Any solution?
Mhm, not sure what's the right solution here. Best ask at reddit.com/r/PiNetwork?
I'm sure someone there know the answer to your issue.

I got the 'recipient address doesn't exist' did you manage to find out what to do?
I have the Same Problem 😢
The answer is the same, best ask at reddit.com/r/PiNetwork
Hey Rich...I wasn't able to invite anyone new persons to bondex..dose that mean I loose all of my bond points?
No, as explained in ua-cam.com/video/d6ZC5iVSanc/v-deo.html, you can't participate in the airdrop. I'd recommend you share what you think about that in an app review and on the official Bondex Discord server, so hopefully, the team removes that ridiculous requirement for the next airdrop.
@@ChristianRauchenwald ok thanks 🙏...I Will
Thanks for this video. I actually fell for a scam pi site, and i compromised my passphrase and my token stolen. I am going to try to create a new wallet right away. Is it possible to move remaining tokens to the newly created wallet?
Sorry to hear that. Yes, you can send any coins that are available to your new wallet address.
@@ChristianRauchenwald But i hope the scammer willnt have access to Pi App?
To access the app they'd need to know your password or have access to your Facebook account if that's what you used to sign up.
I have the same issue
I didn't share my passphrase with anyone but my picon was transferred. When can I do about it please?
The only way to access your wallet is by knowing its passphrase. So, while you might not remember doing it, you likely entered it on a phishing website that looks identical to the official page.
That said, as mentioned in the video, there is nothing you can do but create a new wallet and update your mainnet checklist.
If create a new wallet will the balance be moved as well?
No. You can manually send any coins that are available from your old wallet to your new one.
@@ChristianRauchenwald if i create a new wallet. My locked pi will get lost?
No, they are still in your old wallet, and once they unlock, you have to log in to your old wallet using the passphrase for that old wallet and send them to your new wallet.
I have been able to create a new wallet, but unable to update on the No.8 Item, is still showing my old wallet. What can i do please?

Hey bro can we change the phrases of existing pi wallet ?i got scammed but fortunately my coins in lockup for 2026 how i finish this threat to save my coins ?plz help me
No. Passphrases can't be changed. You'll have to create a new wallet.
@ hey bro my pi is locked until 2026 is my coins safe till duration date
Sure, but whoever knows your passphrase will try to grab them too once those coins unlock, unfortunately.
I put my pi wallet passphrase in p2p ... I lost 200 pi..
Now how can i protect my lock pi?
Mhm... not sure what's the issue here. I'd recommend you ask at reddit.com/r/PiNetwork?
After creating a new wallet, can I still have access to the old one?
Yes, as long as you have the old passphrase written down somewhere you can use it to access your old wallet again as well.
OK. Thanks a lot
But why have I not been able to create a new wallet? It kept saying "An unknown error happened. Please try again later"to for the past 1 month now@@ChristianRauchenwald
How can I access to the old wallet?@@ChristianRauchenwald
Open the Pi Browser, select Wallet, and enter the passphrase of your old wallet.
Thank you 🙏🏾 mine was exposed. Followed the steps on your video. But my pi balance is not showing in my new wallet. What can I do please
Your new wallet is just that, a new wallet. If you still have coins in the old wallet, you'll have to send them to the new wallet manually.
Also, don't forget to update the mainnet checklist so future migrations go directly into your new wallet.
My pi balance from my wallet transferred to another wallet. Is it also scammed?
If you didn't make the transactions then, yes, someone else knows your passphrase and emptied your wallet.
How much time will it takes to migrate my locked up balance to a new wallet & how to update my new wallet in no. 8 & 9?
You'll have to manually send your locked up coins, once they unlock, to your new wallet, which only takes seconds.
To update the mainnet checklist, you just have to select the item in the checklist and follow the instructions on the screen.
@ChristianRauchenwald ok thank you
And I also realised that when I typed my new passphrase on the Pi browser, my old wallet showed up. Why?
Likely because you entered the passphrase for your old wallet.
Is it possibly to get my coin back? I click a link and my balance was wiped?
Unfortunately, no.
Hi... I have locked pi if i make a new wallet it will be lost or what
Please help someone is stealing my pi
Locked Pi becomes available after the lockup period ends. If someone else knows your wallet's passphrase, they can move those Pi once they unlock as well, unless you are somehow faster and manage to send them to a new wallet once they unlock.
How can we change pi Wallet pass phase
You can't "change" a passphrase, you can only create a new wallet which then has a new passphrase.
Randomly went into my wallet. Saw my pi balance is zero and noticed a payment of all pi was made (245). Never shared my passphrase. Never opened links. 😢 thanks for this video.. Ill try and salvage my 86 locked pi to new wallet. 😢

You can't change your passphrase. You'll have to create a new wallet.
@ChristianRauchenwald I know that bro need same wallet have to change 1 word in that 24 words
By creating q new wallet does it mean I will loose all my mined pi??
No, the Pi in your "Pi Network" app haven't been migrated yet, so those would then go to your new wallet (don't forget to update the mainnet checklist with the new wallet information).
Obviously, any Pi in your existing wallet are lost if you forgot the passphrase for that wallet.
All my pi which I have mined for five years got stolen please is there a way I can recover them
No. The video explains what you can/have to do now.
Sorry for that but i have the same happened for me and it was today too hope if someone can help us
Sorry to hear that. As said, if you watch the video, you'll know what you have to do.
@@ChristianRauchenwald i really did but i have locked pi coins i don't know how to protect them hope i find anyway to change my wallet password
There is no way to change the passphrase of your wallet.
Regarding your locked coins you can only hope that you are faster in moving them once they unlock than the scammer.
How can we change pass phase
You can't "change" a passphrase, you can only create a new wallet which then has a new passphrase.
Pi should have added the feature of changing passphrase. Its the security issue from their end not users
That's how all crypto wallets work. It's not a security issue. It's by design. Each seed phrase is unique, and any "update" logic would not solve anything since whoever you shared your passphrase with would just change it, and you again wouldn't have access to your coins anymore.
Good to see you back, friend!
Thanks. It's nice to be back 😊
Thank you for providing this information. So many pioneers will be scammed because of greed. Hold your Pi at least 1 year after the open mainnet and then make a decision to sell.
100% agree. It's greed that causes them to lose it all.

Thanks a lot.@@ChristianRauchenwald
Hopefully core team comes up with some more filters and conditions in future before one can transfer the Pi's.

My pii was withdrawn from my account two days ago I never shared my pass phrase to anyone, what is going to be done
same here. I dont think anyone can help. But I dont understand why. I see the recieving wallet so someone MUST know who that is.
Since there is no way to access your wallet without knowing your passphrase, both of you must have shared it on a fake website or something similar.
Please answer someone told you to search for pinetworktransactpage on your pi browser right?
Can I protect my remaining migrated locked pi after scammer has gotten my पस्सफ्रेस?
No, you can only try to be faster than the scammers and transfer those coins once they unlock to a new wallet.
Do they know my unlocked date also? After unlocked will my pi the scammer either automatically transfers or manually?
The unlock date is visible in the wallet. Nobody can tell you if the scam you fell for uses an automated script or has someone manually transfer the coins.
Best set yourself a reminder for the exact day and time the coins unlock, and with some luck, you'll be faster than the scammers to at least save those coins.
Great. You saved me. Thanks.
Glad to hear that. Thanks for watching 😊

Dam will tell you to search for pinetworktransactpage on your pi browser then your coin is gone
Can you have two wallet or can you transfer your pi coins to me new wallet after detecting a scam with your pi coins

You may not want to believe it or maybe you just forgot but you definitely entered you passphrase on a fake website or shared it in some other way.
Passphrases are insanely secure by nature, and the only way to gain access to someone’s wallet is by knowing their passphrase. To quote:
"Can someone guess my recovery phrase? There are 2 256 different possible 24-word mnemonic seed phrases. For comparison, the number of atoms on Earth is estimated to be around 2 166. The chance of someone else being able to guess your seed is astronomically small, to say the least."
