The core team had made it clear that buying or selling pi while in the closed mainnet period is strictly prohibited and your account can be deleted as well as a lifetime ban from pi network
They don't let you sell out of their P2P app and you can't choose what you want to sell it for it won't let you sell passed cents and if you attemp to sell to a 3rd party it'll disappear. So basically they hold your PI hostage and they dont let you sell it for what you want even if someone on the p2p agrees so that makes no sense. It's basically stuck until it's released
Also this has been in "development" for over 4 years, with no release in sight. I know people with over 20k coins that will supposedly be worth 30 dollars a coin.

Noone can. The pi is traced via wallet code and kyc, so any transactions will and can be traced to users and account banned under terms of services. Until it goes live, pi is worthless

Everybody in the comments don’t understand how crypto even works complaining about “useless” “can’t sell” If you had a piece of a machine that isn’t built yet but that piece may be worth thousands just because you can’t sell it for doing absolutely nothing doesn’t mean the cog is useless. He's lying to you. There's no Pi "help centre". If you don't the Passphrase for the wallet address containing your Pi, that Pi is lost. Clearly explained in the FAQ. When creating a new wallet you must verify the new wallet and new wallet address in step 3 and step 7 in the migration checklist. Clearly explained in the FAQ. The wallet page gives clear instructions on this. The wallet page clearly explains that the wallet is non-custodial, only you possess the Passphrase for obvious security reasons. Standard procedure for all crypto wallets.
Please get back to me if you manage to sell it for 31$ a coin. Ive been reading alot of people saying you can inly sell it for pennies on the dollar and its all a scam or something of that nature
