Produced and hosted by Sid Ordower, Jubilee Showcase aired on ABC's Chicago affiliate television station, WLS Channel 7, from 1963 to 1984, and won an Emmy Award for a Pioneering Project in television. It featured everyone from the youngest church performers to the most famous gospel recording artists of the time including: James Cleveland; Grammy Award winner Albertina Walker & the Caravans; Andrae Crouch & The Disciples; the Mighty Clouds of Joy; the Soul Stirrers; the Staple Singers and the Barrett Sisters - all gospel music pioneers. There was even an appearance by the acknowledged inventor of gospel music, Thomas Dorsey. Presenting the widest variety of gospel and inspirational music with the highest professional standards, this historic program reached a vast audience every Sunday morning establishing itself as an institution in Chicago, “church before church.” Jubilee Showcase was also a platform for a majority of the performers to make their television debuts, such as with Albertina Walker singing “Amazing Grace.” SONGS INCLUDE: Amazing Grace Willing To Wait Wade in the Water Where Is Your Faith In God? All of the clouds could blow. They came from three groups in Los Angeles. Joe Ligon and Johnny Martin from The Mighty Clouds of Joy. Richard Wallace The Stars of Bethlehem. Elmo Franklin, Ermant Franklin, Leon Polk and David Walker all from The Sensational Wonders. When David left and used the name Bunker Hill to record they added Jimmy Jones from Tyler Texas
They are sharp as a tack!

This video used to have Jimmy Jones singing a song called I have a telephone. They edited this video and took that song off. I wish they left Jimmy on there singing that song because it was one of the best things on here.

When I was a young girl sitting in on my brother and Mr Jessie Williams practicing I wanted so badly to sing because of being the soprano I could sing the high notes the facetos all of those sometimes Alto but yet they didn't want a girl in their group so we formed our own group and man we tore it up but I love the Lord I love singing for the Lord and when I listen to these old singing warriors it makes my heart feel so happy to hear them God bless us and keep us because we need to keep these songs close they bring back a lot of memories of days of old when Spirit was really high and people really love the Lord God bless us amen
Sometimes writing I get caught up in the moment of the Lord and sometimes write down the wrong things but remember it's all in thy love. For all things that he has give us. He said he has no respect of person. He poured his spirit on whom he chose.at that time. If he chooses. Thank God he look down an saw my needs. No one else could have been so merciful kinde and good.
