i’m finally realizing how this almost entirely uses dottore’s theme, but there’s almost none of the fatui leitmotif. dottore is playing everyone, including the fatui. hoyomix never disappoints with their auditory storytelling.

I might be wrong but I don't remember the fatui leitmotif playing for the other fatui harbingers during their intros.
@@Leggoo383 yeah. The fatui motif only gets included in their boss theme. "L'arrivo della Signora", "A letter from afar" and "Ominous fandango"(yes, that's what they named Scaramouche's intro theme) don't have it.
the fatui leitmotif is only in their boss themes. childe doesn’t have it in his character theme either

I absolutely love the ominous buildup in the beginning, then the bit of music you hear when he’s showing off his jawline in the harbinger trailer, and just the DRAMATIC AND INTENSE brass when it zooms towards his face and reveals his rank and code name, truly giving you the feel of “oh shucks, this guy is a really powerful (and hot) villain 😳”, amazing cover as always!

Their conversation was the best game dialogue but it is spoiled by Nahida's OOC arguing and silly anger aiming for children to say hey this man is a villain, his methods are bad! But what is bad is my feelings for them because it could be really interesting union of which MHY deprived us.
I love this! I already really enjoyed Dottore's introduction, and you just allowed me to re-experience the music, remaking it in top-notch shape! Love it :D

AAAAA, that's just his style! I did not pay attention to these musical instruments because of the cutscene itself and the voices, I noticed something interesting, can you hear how a little motive of the sumeru plays at the very beginning of the music? This clearly indicates that the doctor from dusk, closer to the middle, is already starting to play, something like snejnaya, and at the end everything calms down ... what would it be for?

Hmm... As a scholar and self-proclamed Dottore-specialist I can't say this totally suits him. For my not-so-humble opinion it sounds much too... "cartoonish". As if they wanted to shout to silly children: LOOK! THIS CHARACTER IS EVIL BAD VILLAIN!! You must know that he's a bad guy you shouldn't justify any thought or action of! I don't like it much. But in the end from 2:08 to 2:43 I could really agree that it sounds like a real Zandik's theme. Calm, a bit dismal, but creepy beautiful. I could imagine this Doctor in the old Eleazar hospital and Trainee Dastur who continued his experementations in spite of the fact that no one understands him and "people don't want to mention his name, nor do they want to remember his words or deeds" (this description and the name of the achievement "Before my time" or in the Chinese original Before "I" Was Born really made me feel bad for him and respect how strong-minded he was and how he holds his own to prove that "with enough input, I might be able to reach the level of a "god," or so people might call it". And he REALLY DID IT).
That is a very deep analysis! 😳
Imo they are going for that grand epic villain introduction with Fatui motif to hype you up.

Oh I would absolutely love to have bits and pieces of this to be in his boss fight! Your cover is wonderful, I wanted to close my eyes and just imagine what his boss fight would be like and this made it possible

Anyway, what i wanted to say, is that this theme probably explains relatively how his boss theme will sound. Just like it was with Scaramouche all the way back from 1.1, now it is the same motif as in his battle theme.

Yes, absolutely right. But this is the fact I can't approve: he's not a villain. HE'S JUST NOT. He's only a cynical and very rigid scholar, a REAL scholar, the best example and the quintessence, he has that much of a real scholar that this even makes him inhuman-like. This is what he is. His methods are cruel but his aims are lofty and aspiring, I see him as an only real genious who had managed to answer his words and proved his conception really becoming a god-like number 2 after the founder (Pedrolino). It's a shame that we can know about it only if we are too attentive and clever to link everything we had found and read.
@@Doctor_Haeresystoo much of anything is bad. He has no regard for life, and doesn't stop at anything to achieve his goals, which always leads to doing inhuman things that can certainly classify him as a villain.

He surely has such sociopathic features but such people are very useful for the world and for science, exactly because they are unstoppable, they are burning in passionate flames of their ideas, but are not just schizophrenic maniacs, Dottore always considers the conditions in which he is, bet sometimes, finding some of the restrictions really stupid he just ignores them. And I can't blame him because we really have too much stupid things demanding the authorisation from the stupid fuckers who doesn't understand why it is necessary, or find no personal purpose in it, so they claim it forbidden. I know that the Doctor is really as you said, an example of an absolute scientist, and the absolutes are very questionable thing that could make more harm than profit, but speaking about the scientifical improvements and logical considerations I just can't blame him as a villain. Moreover, speaking about his background, he has never been understood and supported from his childhood, he was considered as a heretic, a monster, a madman, and was persecuted in his own town, «chased by pitchforks and clubs», as he said. No one would listen, so is there sense for him to care about other's feelings? He hadn't lost his higher aims even though, so I still respect him as a very strong-minded person. By which I mean, yes, too much of something is bad or at least VERY questionable, like in this cynical scholar example, but surely he is not a villain. He just has his own convictions, as he said, «they just don't fit you standards, that's all». So, I still hope that he won't be stupidly considered only as a villain for making another usual «black-and-white world» cliche for children and will be highly developed as a character in his own lore. Thanks for reading and your opinion; and sorry for my mistakes.

Why can't i find anywhere the original version? People should be able to data mine it from the game files if i'm not mistaken, so it should exist. Unless, maybe it is just mixed with the cutscene voices, i don't know how this works.
Some cutscenes are pre-rendered, which means it's a literal video playing over your game. Such cutscenes are one whole, so there is no bgm in the files. We'll have to wait for the next "Stellar voyage" album to drop in like... eight months which is sad
