    I’ve had the ISX 2200 61” with the Vanguard oil system. Absolutely Love it. The only thing I don’t like is the rediculous 30$ price for the Vanguard oil filter. I like the system and the concept, but 30$ for an oil filter is nothing but a ripoff in my book. I think they could have easily used an externally mounted spin on filter.

    I liked the part where they showed the belts, spindles , idlers deck build. All easy to get to and replace by owner, I'm sure.

    I want something that rides like a Cadillac without breaking my back or scalping the grass. I currently have a JD Z-960 and it is a tank. Granted, It was overpriced in my opinion but I couldn’t ever foresee a time that I would break anything on it other than maybe a belt. The forks and spindles are solid cast iron. Pretty much most commercial mowers today with the exception of a few, will hold up to everything you put it through. As long as you have a good reliable engine and service it regularly, they will last a long time.

      Good maintenance is the key to longevity. The ones with the Vanguard oil guard system claim You can go 500 hrs. I know it is a good system, but there is now way I’m going 500. I change it at 50 hrs before it even gets dark. I know it’s overkill but it makes me happy and the engine doesn’t complain.

    I have the 3200z mower. It does ride very nice, the one issue I have is that it doesn’t cut the grass near as well as an Ex-mark. When I cut the grass it will not cut the grass at the same height where the tires run over the grass. Where the tires run over the grass and is pushed down the blades can’t suck the grass up enough to cut the grass, so I always have longer grass where the tires run over the grass. Any hints would be appreciated. Thanks

      If your gonna rank decks it gonna go Exmark/Toro,Scag,Ferris. I don’t know about you but cut quality is key. Bad boy is on the come up as well.

    Doesn't have a suspension on the mower cause the deck to raise and lower with bumps, causing scalping and uneven cut? Toro put the suspension on the rider, not the machine.

    • @GandGFarmandLawn
      @GandGFarmandLawn  3 місяці тому +1

      No sir it does not at all. They have a state of the art design that does not allow the deck to dip down at all when you hit bumps or have to slow down quickly. It was designed by a nascar engineer. We are also a toro dealer and the myride system on the toro is very nice as well but the Ferris will out ride it for sure. I explain that in the video

    • @derce927
      @derce927 2 місяці тому +1

      If you watch some ferris videos and see the metal control arms on sides by shocks it articulates the deck. It keeps it flat and floats. That plus the big casters help scalping. Same thing with ferris stand on mowers. But the rider with full suspension seat and coil overs front and back just floats like a Cadillac.

      @@hairstonpropertymanagement2937 Well, to be fair, and it probably has a bit to do with luck and more to do with maintenance and not abusing it, but- my wife bought a little JD Z335 7-8 years ago. We just use it for trimming and zig zag mowing around the trees etc. . It now has over 250 hrs on it and never had a single issue with it. But then again , I’m meticulous with maintenance never get aggressive with it. What I hate about this one and most box store zero turns is that You cannot service the hydros, which is critical for longevity. It can be done on the JD, but You have to REMOVE them to turn them upside down to drain them, which is a real pita to do. They easily could have put a drain plug on them. This is simply planned obsolescence in my book.
