My grandma swore by rosewater and at 92 she didn't look a day over 80 so basically rosewater is my religion 😂 I'd love more beauty/lifestyle content from you Emma!
I need to share this for a second: My boyfriend just got me the most beautiful Shakespeare collection Ive ever seen. Its fully illustrated by Kenny Meadows and was published and printed in 1886. He got them fairly cheap at a flea market. (The value online is about 150£, its crazy). Ive never been so in love with a collection of books before❤❤😭
@emmiereads question when are you going to do review on rest of Ann Rice vampire chronicles series perticlury 2 book vampire lestat and if you did already what name of video I have ask these like 4 time on different video please respond?
I’ve been watching your videos nonstop; they’ve been such a comfort to me these last few days. PS I may or may not be doing something exciting on my channel soon related to you 😄
I found you from your shatter me series and have loved watching your videos since! It's also made me get back into reading and wanting a whole library of books. I'd love to see more beauty and lifestyle content from you as well, it gives me a sense of relaxation.
i don't who what is it but your videos and you as a person heals me and my soul, no matter what you talk about, studies, college, books, beuty routine, calcider, i just find peace and love with every bit of you
Watching your video in the middle of the night is one of the most relaxing things ever.🌙 You always inspire and motivate me to read and be productive. ❤❤❤❤❤
Little tip on the eye mask! You can put a few in the refrigerator and use them when your under eyes are looking puffy and you feel tired. Good to wake you up and not look so tired!
Lovely video. I'd like to encourage you to go for less plastic when shopping Emma. Difficult, I know, but I'm trying to be conscious with the waste and I'm so proud of the changes I'm making. You can bring your own bag. Just get all the veggies into one bag. So many ways.
I recommend Differin Gel. It's the only thing that's EVER helped my face stop breaking out. I don't really need to use anything else besides moisturizer
Hi, Emma, this is for me the first time leaving a comment. And First, thank you for uploading videos. These really make me feel relaxed and happy. I love watching it eating breakfast or night snack . And sometimes I just play it in the background while doing other things. I think I just love listening to you speaking about anything(??) and also Calcipher. And, Sorry, my english so bad. Actually, It's been a while since I started watching your videos, but, because of my poor Eng, I'm afraid to use it usually. Anyway, I felt glad to see your uploading video just now. And the gladness made me think leaving a comment now before watching. I'm glad.
Few years ago I switched all of my clocks to 24 hour format across all devices. Makes everything so much easier, especially setting up out of office notices for custom time ranges 😅
man when i was watching beauty youtube i was trying new products every month. it was so fun but a few years later and my skin is the best its ever been (my acne scars and spots are so faded!!) and my routine is so f*cking simple lol. 90% of it is just the inkey list so nothing fancy but is doing the job spectacularly.
Totally agree that Shakespeare’s tragedies are better than his comedies. I fell in love with Hamlet when I was in high school and I’m sooooo excited to reread it seeing you fall in love with it here ❤ And Cal’s little paw on the mouse and keybooooard!!! 🥹
Another five stars ⭐️ video love it and love your amazing and fabulous channel please stay safe and healthy and prayers and blessings for you and your beautiful cat 🐈 and your family love your Aussie family friend John ❤❤❤
Hi Emma! The question on my Shakespeare’s final was the matter of power (political or other) and how it was used/misused. I chose Hamlet, Macbeth, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream to base my argument. ✨ Macbeth is so badass! There’s a theater version with Judi Dench and Ian McKellen on youtube ❤❤
Aww I love Calcifer! He’s so big already! I’ve been wanting to start my way into skincare and I tried a few months ago but I always fail at being consistent haha I hope you did really well in your exam! This made my day! Like all of your videos, Emma! I’m so happy every time you upload a new one! Wish you the best days!! Cause you certainly make mine the best ❤
I'm so happy you're enjoying Macbeth so much, that's my favorite Shakespeare play. Calcifer is beautiful. He's the most beautifiul pumpkin loaf ever. 😄 I hope Evie is fine too, I miss seeing her. ❤
You’re getting ever closer to graduating in September. Way to go!! The powder you bought looks nice on you. I love your adorable sweet kitty cat, Calcifer, I just want to squeeze him ☺.
The Peach C one is not a setting powder but a cushion (basically a foundation) 😂. Also, if you like hydrating toners, I highly recommend Make P:rem's Safe Me Relief Essence Toner, I find this more hydrating to the I'm From Rice Toner and the Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence Water. You can also layer it up, I usually do 2 to 3 layers!
French pharmacy skincare is the best. Absolutely obsessed with Avene’s Cleanance cleanser, even on my dry/sensitive/oily skin it keeps me clear and doesn’t dry my skin out. I really like their facial spray as well, and Le Roche Posey for moisturisers/facial masks/sunscreen. Big fan of retinoids from The Ordinary as well, and I combine a few of their potion bottles to make a serum that works for me. I also love love skincare ❤
I thought of Lady MacBeth when you brought up the idea of the exile / outsider because I think she becomes increasingly that way throughout the play as her mind unravels
omg i have the same problems with am pm clocks. i get confused so easily 😭😭😭 also, calcifer sniffing every item of your skincare routine and quietly watching you 😭😭😭❤ happy belated birthday 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Movie rec for lovers of Hamlet: "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead is an absurdist, existential tragicomedy by Tom Stoppard, first staged at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1966." So it's a play that takes place within Hamlet, and it was filmed in 1990 starring Tim Roth, Gary Oldman, Richard Dreyfus ... It's made in a play setting similar to Anna Karenina. One of my favorite movies!
Currently doing a binge-watch of all your videos from the beginning, while I organize my new home! Am I crazy or are some videos missing? There was a quarantine one I was looking forward to watching but now I can't find it.
how did the exam go emma?? loved your calm energy as always! i'm currently doing uni work to because i need to prepare a mini-planning of what will be fend of degree thesis to apply for a research grant
wishing you a very Happy Birthday on the weekend Emma! I hope you enjoy your pumpkin pie. I also love pumpkin pie. I wish you all the best with your exam. I love more lifestyle in your vlogs. A great grocery haul. I need to find some of that veggie ham!
I think the pink eyeshadow is going to look great on you! I looove pink eyeshadow looks but because I have a fair skin with a pink undertone (I literally have to add a bit of red to most concealers so they fit my skin) I look like I'm sick or crying when I put pink eyeshadow on 😂
Hey Emma! I'm a little late to this party because I'm in the middle of a massive Arthurian Lit research paper (and exams). I took a Shakespeare course last summer and we did both these texts (LOVE THEM). I think you can compare the characters of Hamlet and Macbeth in terms of exile - not physical exile but a more psychological exile from the courts that they are a part of. Macbeth as we know is the wrongful king who inserts himself on the throne. As such he is an outsider trying to be an insider but is psychologically exiled by his people. Hamlet on the other hand feels emotionally exiled by his mother because of her marriage to Claudius? (I forget his name). He feels that no one else cares about his father's murder. Hell! I'm excited about this topic now LOL! Good luck!
Pimples darn pimples! Yeah, I remember those buggers, they ruined many a day of my youth. So here’s a piece of advice from an old veteran - take it or leave it - how to deal with these little devils. 1. wash your face with hot water and ANY regular soap (just make sure you don’t use cream soap!). 2. peel off all the dead skin really good! 3. put on your dry skin a thin layer of a good quality moisturizer cream - mind, your skin should feel hydrated, not oily! When the skin absorbs the cream, put on another thin layer. Repeat until your skin feels just moist enough, not too much and certainly not dry! Do it before bedtime, in the morning just wash your face, wipe it with a very gentle towel and put on just enough daily cream - remember: your skin must be moist, not oily. By doing this regularly your skin should gradually get better. Maybe not perfect, since you can’t beat the hormones, but those pimples that may still turn up should be smaller and not those deep painful ones.
My father was in the Navy (US) so I learned the 24 hr clock very early. (Not that he used that or insisted we used that at home btw.) And yes, it makes time stamps very clear. I still have issues with 12p. lol.
Hey Emma, it's lovely to see you. Completely off topic but I hope you'll be solving an Agatha Christie mystery soon, it's been awhile since your last one.
Hi. You could make a case of conscience being the thing that makes humans exiles within society. Not only Hamlet, but Macbeth, and Lady Macbeth as well, although maybe they don't know it, or don'y see themselves as that, but the opposite: rulers of men. It's exciting seeing you talk about Shakespeare. Good luck with the essay and the exam!
Hi Emmie, love your channel. My tbr pile is getting bigger by the video 😂 have you read any of the discworld books by Terry Pratchett? Would love to see your thoughts on them 👍
Was the Game of Tomes live cancelled or did I just miss it? I can't find the replay on your or Carolyn's channel. I am not on Instagram, so pardon if you already answered the question over there. Great video as usual.
Random question, but does anyone know a good place to find updates for the Game of Tomes book club? Is there some sort of social media page to ensure I’m on track or get updates?
My grandma swore by rosewater and at 92 she didn't look a day over 80 so basically rosewater is my religion 😂 I'd love more beauty/lifestyle content from you Emma!
There’s no greater, more clingy love than that of an orange cat 🧡

Calcifer is absolutely beautiful and can tell he adores you too ❤
scheduling exams around f1 is absolute priorities. also very relatable
I need to share this for a second: My boyfriend just got me the most beautiful Shakespeare collection Ive ever seen.

Ive never been so in love with a collection of books before❤❤😭
Calcifer is so BIG!!! And so sweet. Thanks for including him today. He is about the best SUPERVISOR I have ever encountered. Lol.
Love the beauty content and a good dose of Calcifer content is a win win 😊 🐈 🧡
I love the universality of presenting things to your pet to sniff. I do it so my dog feels included when I've got something she can't have 💜

“wait is that the powder”😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I can’t you’re so freaking funny
Hamlet is such a good play! I'm not a big fan of plays usually but after I saw it performed in the west end, it became my favorite. So good.
Your vlogs are always so comforting!! And I am loving the Calcifer content 😂💘
One time I took a calculus exam right when it opened at midnight because I was so desperate to get it over
I’ve been watching your videos nonstop; they’ve been such a comfort to me these last few days.
PS I may or may not be doing something exciting on my channel soon related to you 😄

I had a bunch of expired makeup, your vlog inspired me to finally throw them away😅 thank you for the inspiration!
i literally screamed when i realised you’re f1 fan.

Calcifer is a big boy now! So cute! Emma, l love Hamlet too, but Macbeth is my favorite Shakespeare's play. Love the beauty haul! 💖😻✨
Calcifer is just so adorable 🥰
I'm happy every time this big orange pumpkin boy named Calcifer is on your videos. I'm sure he is a big and happy orange cat. ❤
I'd love to see your process of essay writing and the final product, like a "how to write a literary essay" kind of video, that would be great!
I LOVE when you do lifestyle stuff bc it feels like we’re on facetime
You are so comforting to watch and I loved your beauty and grocery haul Emma. ❤

@emmiereads when is review of vampire lestat by Ann Rice when will that video be?
Hi Emmie, love your channel. My tbr pile is getting bigger by the video 😂 have you read any of the discworld books by Terry Pratchett? Would love to see your thoughts on them 👍
Ooh Edgar from King Lear + Hamlet as self-imposed exiles could be a good comparative essay. Lots of interesting parallels and contrasts there.
yes!! I ended up going with Hamlet and Mariana/Juliet from Measure for Measure
@@emmiereads nice one! I hope it goes well!
Woohoo another vlog
Emma, idk if you’ve read HAMNET by Maggie O Farrell. But i think you’ll love it 🥰
French girl here but you can choose the time of your exam ? 🤯We don’t have that in France 😅
Was the Game of Tomes live cancelled or did I just miss it? I can't find the replay on your or Carolyn's channel. I am not on Instagram, so pardon if you already answered the question over there.
