For humans, darkness is menacing, forbidding, petrifying. It conceals the most dangerous and terrifying creatures on Earth, but it also holds some of the greatest, undiscovered mysteries of nature. Most animals are nocturnal, but they're seldom studied at night and rarely filmed in the dark. The Dark follows a team of wildlife experts on a mission to solve those wildlife mysteries. Braving the jungles and swamps of South America during the night, the team sheds light on previously unobserved creatures and strange behaviours, offering a new perspective on our wild planet.

I like how he’s nervous about the Tapir getting so close to him saying it’s a big animal when it’s almost the size of a pig
At the petting enclosure of the San Diego Wild Animal Park around 16 years ago, a tapir of just about that size took a little nibble on my thigh - - the sharpness of the teeth startled me. It left a little slobber on my fabric, but no harm done. 😘

Tapirs can actually weigh up to 500 to 800 pounds so they much larger then a sheep

Dear bbc plzz camera trap in my country bangladesh,u can find easily Tiger/bear/elephant/clouded leopards and many more rare and elusive animals
When we were kids living in British Columbia, my dad's best friend phoned him one morning quite early
Seems he had been on a bit of a blender the previous night and when he woke up and looked outside there was a Tapir in his garden!!! Not believing his own eyes he phoned my dad who went over to see what was happening. Sure enough it was a Tapir!
They phoned the police and were told a wildlife exhibit had stopped in town that night and a Tapir had escaped. They got hold of the owner and got it home!

The acting is irritating. The videographer is try to act and create a more immersive feeling. But this is supposed to be a nature documentary. The acting just destroyed it for me
