It’s a “spoken word” podcast, why remaster it if you hear everything clearly? Plus depending on the equipment it was recorded on, how they ran the signal through and the software/settings they recorded it in - you can’t really make it better quality audio. I imagine if they had cleaner recordings they would have released that.

I’m thinking of joining a cult... Spreading good vibes, not afraid to hear opposing views, fascinated with hunting and fighting, started a podcast, now maybe dmt next? I think I need that if I’m going to be able to wear a fanny pack... Seriously though, these podcasts help get through the day...

Chris Suarez. Listen how beautiful English is.
And how Portuguese is mouth diaharreah.
And also you get no where in life speaking Portuguese.
      And everywhere speaking English?
      Can you guess why?
Can you guess why all of the gracies live
      In the USA
Can you guess why they don’t live
      I’m
      Brazil?
      Do you know
      Why?
      Use your
Mind. They all want to speak English and move away from Brazil.
      Why is that?
Is brazil better than the us? Is portugese better than English?
Are you slick? Or are you a weird effeminate bozo
I may as well learn swazili than portugese.
That will get you no where in life.
But you learn English. Get the fuck out of your shitty country and come to the USA.
At least you learn the language.

    • @oldironsides4107

Chris Suarez. Your name is Chris. Your parents abandoned Brazil
For good reason and name you the whitest of white guys name and girls.
Chris. You’re not Brazilian. You’re an American.
      You fucking dolt.
If Brazil is so good go live there.
That goes for all of the gracies. Anderson Silva. Shogun. Wanderlei Silva. Jacare. Damian Maia.
Name me a successful Brazilian who lives in the USA
Even the sport you love mma. Or even soccer or football.
They all get the fuxk out of that shithole.

I used to worship him, but we have no real proof of how good he was, outside the family. In mma he was not good.. I think being older, I don't see him as an icon anymore. As a man, he has cheated a lot and left his son,and was always super arrogant.I met Renzo, Roger, Mauricio Gomes,Carly Gracie and they were so nice, but they knew Rickson liked to be king. Did he have a good mma fight? Absolutely not. I listened to the podcast and he said some good stuff, but as usual,it was all about what he thought. Not into listening or learning. Yes, Eddie has offended Royler by schooling him in their 2nd fight, and Rogan is in awe of all tough "manly"men, but could he have beaten Gary Tonin, or even his son Kron.? I think not

Rickson is so lucky he was famous 20 years ago, because he wouldn't have done much at all these days. I feel like Kron has a better game than his dad.Why didn't Rickson ever go to Abu Dhabi? There were other guys his age at the time. The choke and Vale tudo before that were absolutely mediocre fighters. Rickson got a million for fighting Takada. Wanted a million to fight Mark Kerr which was never going to happen. At least Renzo put his arse on the line. I kind of got pissed off when Rickson said he was better than Rolles, but only him and Rolles knew it.Rickson was always arrogant. Bustamante and Sperry were tougher than Rickson. 400-0-0 lol

TheLastFraudster Because he's never fought mma professionally this doesn't make him a martial arts expert? How many world class coaches have fought in mma? Greg Jackson? No. Eric del Fiero? No. Javier Mendes? No. But yet they tell world champions what they're doing wrong on a day to day basis. Picking out mistakes in other peoples technique doesn't mean youre saying you are better than them.

If you think you got over on him he let you as some random off the street.

it's amazing how rickson gives some lessons of humility to joe and Eddie, about how special a person can be, not everything is a factory or production of techniques, fighters, where everyone does the same, it's something beyond what we could not control, that is part of life, the inalterable of some things motivates us just as we achieve

    • @drevm7991

Is he the one that said none of the Gracies doing MMA need to work on anything but jiu jitsu and that its bullshit for them to waste time on other things? I don't know if it was him or one of the others, but that's a ridiculous way to think.

    • @natedepigeone
      @natedepigeone 9 років тому +8

Nick Stewart That would be Royce my man. Also Kron said something of the sort but their way of thinking about it is that all you need is BJJ to win a fight, because if you can't get the fight to the ground, your technique is flawed. It makes sense on paper but it is unrealistic.

    • @natedepigeone

@Steelmonger888 I mean he did, but he didnt let it go to his head, saying that someone accomplished as much in the martial arts today, as someone like Rickson in bjj, who was doing it in completely different time and environment, is always a bit up to debate. But what is great about Eddies attitude is that he is very humble and I actually think he was as excited as Joe to have him there.
