Kansas city native here, born and raised ❤💛🖤🤍 I'm full of hometown pride, and I'm also a home cook. As a native, I want to say thank you guys for going to these lesser known joints like big T's 😊 everybody knows Arthur's, gates, and LC's but we love our food truck culture here, and love a small business. I'd love to see you two do a taco/mexican hidden gems in kc, where youd go to any of the places on southwest across from la bodega, or cali kc in independence. Thank you guys for doing my great town justice and showcasing the little guys 🎉
We at Kansas City BBQ. You know we have our KC standards. The meat must be smoked, we have a brown sugar sauce not real vinegary. Potato salad is made with yellow mustard. We have different sauces. Mild, medium, and hot. True KC sauce is sweet and smokey. This is backed by the original rules of KC American Royal BBQ. Oh I almost forgot baked beans they are a masterpiece of KC flavors. We take great pride in our world class BBQ. Enjoy
Erin, thanks SO MUCH for looking at KC BBQ through a different lens. I haven't been to any of these yet, but they're now all on my list! The fusion of Mexican and BBQ is so KC, love it. I've enjoyed Thai Place for years, so that combo looks insane!
Love this ! Have went to kc all my life , have family there and plan to move there in a few years (live outside of Wichita now )Gave us some great ideas. It’s those little unknown hidden spots that have the best bbq !
Loved this video. 3 new hometown joints to try and 1 favorite (Big T's) getting some love. Hopefully there will be a part 2 to this at some point. I would like to nominate Woodyard for inclusion in that sequel.
I like Big Ts a lot. Ya know it’s more rustic , grittier Just always reminds me of east Texas bbq. Only place In town w hot links. I always get the greens too. I eat there a lot
It should be noted that the very nice woman who brought all those apps at Buck Tui is Teddy’s wife and a James beard nominated chef for her Waldo Thai restaurant. I’m lucky enough to live not far from Buck Tui. So good!
Three are so many great KC style BBQ places in Kansas City that aren't part of the Big 4 and yet you chose to feature 2 Texas style and an Asian fusion?
I like how it shows the diversity of the BBQ scene in KC. I lived in KC for 20 years and wish I could have had the opportunity to try more places. The Asian fusion looks amazing and I never would have thought to look for a place like that. But pairing two of my favorite foods together. Looks pretty amazing to me. I look forward to trying these out when I’m back in KC.
Kansas City BBQ? That’s kind of like New York City picante sauce. I mean, I understand why Kansas City might be known for the best steaks but barbecue? Y’all need to come on down south.
Judgy much?? Maybe she just likes to feel comfortable and casual, especially if you're gonna be tasting a lot of messy food. And it has been rather hot all over the country.
I automatically like every video featuring Erin because I just love her energy. Only to discover that her brother is awesome as well.
They seem to be really alike, not only in appearance but also, so to say, in the inside

Erin and her brother are great!!!
I'm going to KC this weekend and cannot wait for the bbq, thanks for this lil tour!
"Stay hungry and stay happy" = best slogan! I'd watch Erin do a food tour of any city, any day 💥

Wow, the Asian fusion BBQ looks so delicious and such a perfect marriage of flavors that I'm ready to hop in my car and drive from Albuquerque to KC!
What a fun episode! I’m from NC, and I now live in NY, but I’ve spent 18 of the last 20 summers in KC eating at some of these same places!
This has a very familiar format with Erin's lovely bubbly personality. I really enjoyed learning about KC BBQ as a Canadian! Keep up great work Erin!
The BBQ here is super amazing. You got to try it. You can order KC bbq online btw
GET HER A BBQ TRAVEL SHOW. she would enjoy it, and i think the rest of us would too.
As usual, always fun, always leaves me hungry. Thank you
You need to go to Slaps

Willie! What a great tour of KC BBQ! The Thai place looked especially exceptional!
I love Thai and BBQ, this restaurant has just moved to the top of my list of new places to try! My mouth is watering! I wanna go there right now! Lol
Same lol
How much fun to meet Erin’s brother!
💗❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎
Everything looked so yummy!! Thanks for showing us an amazing BBQ places and chefs.
Love this episode I live in this area and I learned about a lot of great new BBQ to try
I've had three of the four and they are all delicious - and bbq isn't even my favorite thing. This is so great!
Looking forward to a taco episode... 🌮🌮🌮
I believe it's all about the wood smoke❤
I like Big Ts a lot. Ya know it’s more rustic , grittier Just always reminds me of east Texas bbq. Only place In town w hot links. I always get the greens too. I eat there a lot
Btw I have not been to the Thai place yet. I heard it is killer though

I subscribe for the baking but there is no better alternative than BBQ. I really enjoyed the fusion too. American is a wonderful place.
Looks amazing!!! Thanks for sharing these places with us. Looking forward to trying them the next time I’m in KC. 😋
You should’ve checked out LC’s, they got pork burnt ends there. I always get the half and half for half beef and half pork burnt ends.
Omg 😱 this make me hungryyyyy
Danny Edwards Bbq is excellent.
Definitely
Slaps on 7th and central Kck baby
Buck Tui is Al the first place I would go if I ever get to KC.
Maybe next time you come to town you can try KC BBQ!
Us great KC Bar B Q lovers of KC call this fu fu bbq
Buck tui was really unique
You can bump your head on a good bbq joint in KC. So many to try! But I’m hitting the Big 4 first!😂
I think now it’s the big 5. Q39 has now entered the chat.
How many people are going to move to Kansas City now that Erin is there - back home.
The taco technique is so much better than the wonder bread.
If Erin likes it, so do I
Best kept secret in Kansas City is Sneed's out on homes rd. It's been open sense at least 1950 70 or so years.
Did not expect Erin's brother to look like Jack Harlow in 25 years
Three are so many great KC style BBQ places in Kansas City that aren't part of the Big 4 and yet you chose to feature 2 Texas style and an Asian fusion?
I think they explicitly said that they weren’t going to the usual spots. So perhaps that’s why?
I like how it shows the diversity of the BBQ scene in KC. I lived in KC for 20 years and wish I could have had the opportunity to try more places. She said she wasn't going to the top 4, but rather less known places, so people have more varied options.
I’ve lived in Kc my whole life and never heard of these places, so I’m looking forward to trying them!
Kansas City is known as the Mesopatamia of bbq.
Read the Google Reviews before going to Big T's.
Bad title for the video. I'm sure all of these are great, but "Best BBQ joints in KC"? That's a stretch.
Kansas City BBQ? That’s kind of like New York City picante sauce. I mean, I understand why Kansas City might be known for the best steaks but barbecue? Y’all need to come on down south.
I guess KC is famous for BBQ cause it’s better down south. 🤷🏻♂️
Kansas City barbecue compared to Texas barbecue is like comparing a fire ant to an elephant. Texas kick Kansas City’s ass any day of the week.
What is Kansas style bbq? "Well actually our brisket is Texas style." ... =) =) =)
Bbq is pretty overrated as far as styles. It's smoked meat.
What makes a place good imo is fresh and hot tender meat.
Missouri. Those places aren't in Kansas
no gates, no smokestack, no q39, no oklahoma joes... girl u aint from kc
That's the whole point of the video. Plus Joe's is not canonical these places have been around way longer than Joe's. Fk Joe's
She doesn’t get paid enough to dress better or what?
I kind of appreciated the lack of...visual appeal/Fashion in her dress. She is about to eat some messy BBQ. It's unpretentious
Judgy much?? Maybe she just likes to feel comfortable and casual, especially if you're gonna be tasting a lot of messy food. And it has been rather hot all over the country.

Wolf Pack is my fav. Best Ribs and Brisket.
When in Kansas city always grab a local when exploring BBQ or you'll miss the absolute best.
This is the only woman in this planet i would fight over lol😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂!!!
