Everyone: Can you play despacito?
Violinist: “plays off key on purpose”
Everyone “doesn’t notice”
Bruh that was so sick that i become the bubonic plague.
que es despacito !!!????
@@simonarenasmancilla3126 una canción bien pendeja, no se por que a los chinos les gusta esa basura
Eddy's face is like,"just kill me pls"

appreciation level 100: don't interrupt someone whose playing/practising
I feel this, it bothers me when people interrupt me while I’m trying to practice. On the same note, if someone else is practicing, I try to wait until they’re done/taking a break to talk to them
Man I feel u too, I really hope I have a place that keeps me practice without any interrupt
Yessss omg lol. I feel like for me the best way to show appreciation is to listen to the whole thing, in silence, and at the end maybe say like “That was really good. I really like it” and maybe continue the conversation if the musician seems like they’re interested lol
FOR REAL!!! When I’m practicing please do not start ranting about your dead fish!
My mom always does this and gets mad when I finish the phrase
Level 0.5--Knows enough about classical music to vaguely understand the jokes on some random violin meme youtube channel
Im also in that statement.
In truth, most of us are
Lol
that's level 40
stop calling us out bruh
I wish there was one for piano. Level 1: Can you please play Fur Elise for me? Level 10: Chopin? That is so mainstream.
H R Für Elise is level 2, level 1 is Despacito
@@mateussouza3979 LOL
H R l “Chopin that is so mainstream” should be level 7 and then returns at level 9 for “I thought he was mainstream but have you listened to the pedaling by Sofronitsky on his 4th ballade? That shit was crazy”
but, but...Chopin... (i say as a pianist...)

Ling Ling bu they are still hard😭
Ling Ling but that’s because you are ling ling 😰
Ling Ling Thans I’ll check it out😁
The pretentiousness of level 10 is amazing, really takes me back to my university days
Cameron Holt yeah it really pissed me off when he compared Clair de lune with jb!
University can go to hell.
Pierre Boulez = Snob.
(And thousands of others like him. We all know who they are...)
HA yes.

@The Classical Nerd of Classical
Definitely. PERIOD.
Same.
ME TOO!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH
For me, the ideal audience is somewhere between 3-7. Any lower and you end up playing Für Elise on loop. Any higher and I worry the audience will realise I'm a fraud and can't play like Ling Ling.
level 10s know no-one plays like ling ling
lmao yes! When the audience gets too smart, there's an issue.
@@vivienneseargent842 very true
As a violist....I have to stop at 6's....

At that point ling ling is having a wet dream

Ling Ling is all the levels

2: Teachers at my high school
3: My family
4: Any mainstream communities view of classical music
5: My friend(s) whom i have manipulated to listen to classical music
6: Me 1 or 2 years ago
7: Me right now i guess?
8: Every extroverted classical master when they are in public
9: Every classical master when they are alone
10: No one...
Are you sure?
no 9 is weird tho i still play even glissando for baroque music
Not sure 10 is worth it. Being so critical you can't even just enjoy beautiful music. Maybe not 9 either...
10s do exist. I saw a guy on a classical forum who had 99 recordings of a SINGLE piece, AND had listened to each recording several times - 10s are these people.
10: That idiot trying to show off
*Dude, Stranvinsky is SICK*
sick of your bullcrap ooooooooooooo
not actually, i'm sorry
In his defence. Rite of Spring is metal as f*ck ;)

I thought I'd be a 2 at most. But you set the bar so low that I found myself to be at a mixture of 5-7.
I feel like there was a lot of room upwards. :p
Can you play despacito?
ironically, higher appreciation of classical music leads to lower appreciation of "classical" music. The ones who go really far start listening to John Cage style music and start inventing depth in everything. "Is there really such a thing as bad music?"
@@warwickthekingmaker7281 i can kind of go into the John Cage side of music but I still really like classical era music. But yeah I think liking modern classical music often means liking Mozart and all that somewhat less.
Well, I am certainly still in the Classical side... The farthest I go from classical music is film score music every now and again... And then only select pieces
Yeah I'm a five
Level 0.5: claps between movements.
That goes to -0.5
This is so sad, eddy

"Use of dynamics at rest" - I'm dying...
I was on the most epic performance ever. The soloist's phrasing in the Tacit section was amazing!!!
Have you never had music with a rest with dynamic markings? It´s always fun to joke about your rest being a forte.
@@warwickthekingmaker7281 My rests vary between mezzofarte and ffffffaaaartissimo. Depending on what I had for dinner.
I'm a master at crescendoing during rests
I didn't notice that 😅😅😅
Two years ago, my girl at 5ish was at level 0. After showing her TwoSet's videos this summer, and me constantly playing classical music in the car for this past 6 months, she (7.5yo) is at about level 4ish. Some of her favorite pieces are Mendelssohn's violin concerto in E minor, Wieniawski's Scherzo Tarantelle, and Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No.1 in D Major. My 4y3m old son has skipped level 0 and is at Lv 2. Both kids are obsessed about Brett and Eddy, and they will sing along to Duh Duh Duh Dum.
Brett fangirling over Lindsey stirling made me giggle
They only did that because it be to real if it was Hillary.
Level 1 is that kid in class who wags all the time and level 10 is that annoying kid who insists that they know more than the teacher.
Sara LingLing level 10 is that kid that is younger than you and can play 15 notes a second while being so talented that they are able to change the notes
INTERESTING
And I think the teacher should be around level 9.
Level 6 is me irl , level 10 is me pretending I know everything about classical music.
All my friends are level 7
My sister is level 5
My parents are also level 5
all of my relatives are a 2 at best, and i think that's cool! theyre all pop fans and i defo don't know of pop genres that they do, and that's equally impressive as being a classical musician
i think i'm a 7 in terms of level, but 8 also resonates with me a lot
The eyeroll in the beginning! 😆😆😆 Eye rolling in Bach is sacrilegious!!!
Edit: Also, did anyone else notice that the first 3 levels and the last 3 levels are equally annoying? 😂
Duo.Hansen 😄 - and yes I noticed (everyone saying that Ling Ling would be above Level 10 did NOT notice - the ideal is around the middle here)
He is one sacrilegious boi
@@carrieheidbrier1925 totally agree! 😄
@@DuoHansen wow...hey I love ur Sherlock theme videos :)
@@dtsarun thanks! ❤️ Still hoping for another season!
I love how high levels are portrayed as equally annoying as low levels. It's like that in a lot of other genres as well
What level is “Learning to appreciate Classical music because of TwoSet”?
Around minus three. You practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, you no time for appreciating anything but practice.
Level 40
Level 10 should have been clapping/coughing in between movements
nickyg I was at a concert once and right when the piece started, I FELT THE BURNING SENSATION TO COUGH LIKE WHY NOW so I had to hold it in until it was finished (which was about 30 minutes)
I *hate* it when people clap in between movements. Wait until the end of the performance. I'd much rather you pay attention and show your full appreciation at the end rather than constantly interrupting the flow of the music.
*Rant rant rant*
Hammas Haukka
If the audience isn’t supposed to clap why does the music pause after cool moments???
/s
@@Danny-sy7bg because it's the end of the movement. If you clap between the movements or before the conductor puts his arm down you're a disgrace
Actually is the opposite. Level 10 don't clap in between movements
"I love Mahler. I LOVE Mahler. MAHLER"
OMG I FEEL SO ATTACKED 😭
*At a funeral*
Funeral director: would anybody like to say anything?
Brett: 2:33
XD
i LoVe MaHlEr
My level is to listen politely, try to interpret what they are trying to convey and express my appreciation for their hard work and them sharing it.
I would just enjoy the music, without trying to interpret anything. XD
Being a bassoonist, there are 2 other levels.
2.5 "oh you play the oboe" 😒
5.5 "wow you play bassoon, thats awesome!"
😂😂
I don't see how somone can confuse an oboe with a bass. Unless your a troll.
Also, a bassoonist or cellist would have played a different part when asked to play Canon in D and would have been even more irritated.
Yeah. Really hurt me on Jeopardy during the orchestra category where the answer was bassoon (they mentioned it was 4.5ft tall and has a bocal) and the only guess was oboe.
A S I had the same exact thought during that episode! And people in my band class have called my bassoon an oboe before, even though we have an oboist as well!
Clarinet is just "haha, like Squidward?" Or someone who also plays clarinet
The AkdemiefureliseLingLingFJNAEL:VG"OJN recording of Kachikawawa xDDD
Greatest piece ever.
After rewatching this after a year, I definitely get it more than I did the first time around.
#thanksTwoSet
For real
Mikey B haha me too
same here haha
Ha, I thought the final level would be just listening quietly
Same here. XD
How do you even hAnDel it
Idk
My friend who knows nothing about music said to me: "aslong as you play the right notes, how can u be worse than a professional?" *Facepalm*
but why play the right notes when you can play it quickly?
Being at fortissimo while everyone else is at pianissisimo
bruh its about expression, as long as you *are* hitting the “right” notes, you can be as good as anyone. music isn’t about theory or being a virtuoso, it’s about taste.
in other words, this comment irks me.
One time i told a friend I was stuck trying to play a new piece. And she said... but do you not know how to translate the music score into piano keys? You said you studied music.
...
Well i actually know what it says on the score, you know...
He's right tho. It's about finding YOUR right notes.
I feel personally attacked by number 6
From 4 to 5 was such a massive improvement it made me happy
All of my friends are a level 2 and it makes me cry. My mom is level 3. Please save me. I’m dying.
My appreciation of your crossy road skills is even lower than that. Get practicing!
Bro, my parents are level 3, it´s annoying XD
Ling Ling thank you ling ling. I’ll practice 40 hours a day.
Just put on chopin and hide from the world
I'm a level 5. My mother is a level 9, with the piano skills to back it up. I'm the one in the string section. I do not practice 40 hours a week.
It is sometimes a source of tension.
What level is it when you just listen quietly to appreciate it?
40
Eleventy-seven.
That is when, from one to ten, you go up to ELEVEN
We're reaching appreciation levels that shouldn't even be possible!
Square root of 7
Level 11: start playing orchestra parts for the other player
Ling Ling can play the entire orchestra by himself
I played another instrument part for my sis when she was playing Mozart

Moral of the story: the good-respectful-not annoying-attitude lies in the middle
When you know all the pieces but forgot the titles
4:21 “i dont know why i sound like ryan higa”
I was playing David Oistrahk’s recording of the Ysaÿe Violin Sonata No 3 (Ballade) for a friend of mine who is not a musician and they actually asked to change the piece. And the same thing happened again but with a different friend. It actually made me sad cause I really like that piece and those two people are two of the most important people in my life and when they didn’t appreciate it, I just came here where my taste in music is appreciated.
"How many levels of classical music appreciation are you on right now?"
"I dunno, like 5 or 6 right now my dude"

Solid level 6; I often get the urge to headbang to classical music
(AndIjustloveMahleralright)
So do I lmao
just wondering, has your level changed 🤨🤨 it's been 3 years, give us an update idk
The highest level of music appreciation is analysing the music score!
Analyse every detail from the score, then forgetting all of them, just immerse in the pure delight of hearing the music.
0:45
Saved that as my wallpaper
Lol
I think my level of appreciation went from literal 2 to somewhere between 5-7 after finding TwoSetViolin and learning about classical music
Thanks and Props to Brett and Eddy for making classical music more appealing to wider audiences
CAN YOU PLAY DESPACITO
Me: Hell no
Turning on your notifications was the best thing I’ve ever done. Besides practicing 40 hours a day of course.
2:46 that masterclass was sooo good, I've seen it multiple times 😀
I got stumped at level 5, so I guess I'm just happy I'm not the Canon in D person.
4:21 "i don't know why i sound like ryan higa"
true
I was searching for someone else who caught that!
Appreciation level 6 is me listening to anything
Aaaaw shit, I'm only at level 6... But your really nailed me with that Mahler reaction.
I’m about level 5. I like playing and listening to classical music, but by the time someone says “masterclass” I’m asleep
There was literally a class at my school called music appreciation(I don’t know if there still is) 😂😂😂
If I see any class with the word "Appreciation" used in this context, it's usually a more PC way of "We're not actually going to teach these beginners anything but we'll do cool stuff, I guess."
In my GFs Uni she has Art Appreciation class. What they do is basically talk about how different pieces are created etc. so basically just appreciating it and learning about Art in general.
Yeah, art and music appreciation is common in my area
bruhhh there was one at my old school too but deadass "music appreciation" should be changed to "classical music appreciation" bc that's all they teach smh (if u didn't already notice, I'm a level 0 lmao)
@@youarebeautiful9050 but like you can't really make a class about current music, classical has more menaing
Level 11:
Hey can you play Paganini?
Can you play it at 300 notes per minute? No?
Did you know that if you can play it slow, you can play it fast?
elmohead Stop being sacreligious XD
*proceeds to play Flight Of The Bumblebee*
I felt really sick today and felted like i wanted to die, but you're guys videos cheer me up everytime. Thank you guys and I love your content.
same can be applicable to wine appreciation as well
lol the subtitles are so confused
video: AkademiefureliseLingLingFJNAEL:VG"OJN
subtitles: "a damn if for a list leaning off the"
David Wallerstein really? My subtitles say “AkademiefureliseLingLingFJNAEL:VGOJN”
Lilly Dreher Mine too. I guess he’s choosing English autogenerated
Every time a new video is uploaded, it takes a while for the official subtitles to get added. Now it's usually a few hours. I don't know if it was longer when this was uploaded, or if they didn't have anyone doing subtitles then, but I bet he just watched it before there was an official English caption option.
