When you see several different websites pop up look for the ones that are in your area or in your state or in the state that you want to be.. that is a good place to start.. be ready to have 15% to put down of the total cost... And like I said do your homework as far as covenants and restrictions and HOA stuff

Man you got it made brother… I want to do this so bad… Do you have any farm animals? I’d like to have some cows and chickens and possibly goats if I had land… I worked with a guy that had 100 acres and he had 100 cows, he said one per acre of land… He basically lived off the money from the cows. I heard from a few people at work that he lived off the money from the cows and put his paychecks up and wouldn’t touch it… They said he had 900,000 in the bank…😅 Must be nice, you’d never think that by looking at him. He wore old dirty blue jeans and the colored T shirts from Walmart with a pocket…😂 He went barefoot when he wasn’t at work, it didn’t matter if it’s freezing cold outside or not… He told me he just didn’t like shoes. I don’t want to be that frugal but you know… To each their own.
No I don't have any farm animals yet because that's the next step between that and a garden.. I kind of wanted to get certain things down and under control one at a time first

But I am slowly healing and still think I can do some outdoor work, I used to be strong- when I did the carnivore diet strictly, I was in great shape. Even when I moved up to the mountains, it seemed to be all whiney Beta males - no one seems to know how to do this anymore. If you know of any good men, lemme know.....I will definitely come to OK! 😅

Good for you! Research rocket stove heaters. With a clay exhaust that you run for about 4 - 5 feet, just a little bit of wood heats up all that clay and provides heat for a day or longer!
I lived off the grid for 19 years. I started with basically nothing and ended up with 11 solar panels, a big battery bank, wood stove, propane backup heat, propane stove and oven, and propane hot water heater from an old motorhome. I sold it a year ago and moved to a little community with good utilities and I am glad to be away from the hard work. Now I'm really retired.
Might wanna start compost piles, first thing to do so you dont have to pay for manure. This would lower your food spending and get you some preserves for food stability even in winter if you get cut off. And later you can expand the shed with addition or maybe add a workshop next to it connected by a roofed patio. It will let you keep the shed decluttered. You could also use all the savings to build a bigger house if you plan to have a family.
I'm still trying to figure out where I said it doesn't work in the winter? It works all year around so either you're confused or you're confusing people on purpose.. my solar works just fine in the winter as a matter of fact it gets more watts in the winter because the panels are cooler
Congratulations! I admire your way of living. It's been my dream to live off grid for the past 15 years. We haven't been able to because of financial issues. I pray someday we will be able to live this way.
My wife and I bought 40 acres in the mountains just south of the Canadian border with in house financing too. Didn't have the best credit scores, but we bought thru owner financing and it's great. Would recommend it to anyone. We are so excited to start our off grid homestead in the mountains. Probably won't be able to move there permanently till the spring as it is raw land and mountains = snow. So in the spring we will either build a barndominium or a shed house with their in house financing too. We already have a solar set up and a wind set up, plus we are going to be using rain barrel catch systems, hand pumping water from a spring on the property, have a wood burning fire place and a wood burning cook stove, and using compost toilets. And from there it's chickens, turkeys, sheep, cows, horses, pigs, etc all kinds of animals and livestock. Gardens, green houses, medicinal and herb gardens, fruit orchards and food forests. Planning on digigng out a swimable fishing pond as well. We are so blessed and so excited. Thank you Jesus!

Excellent setup! We built similar on the other side of the world. Solar and batteries are much cheaper here. Filtered well water recently, zero power bills, septic tank, free internet by reselling access to our neighbours. We only pay for our food, and the costs of having a truck. Simple life. Love it!
nice setup!!!!!!!!!!
A lot of Americans really have no clue how cheap so many other nations are. Every place has its pros and cons but a lot of people let fear drive them from experiencing places outside the usa.
This is cool, coming from a guy who lives in a city in NJ it's so expensive up here and congested. It's awesome to get away and be by nature, very peaceful and stress free. I have to look into this, thanks for the upload and nice dog 🐕
appreciate it
@sturner973 Yes it insane here in New Jersey, "I live here also .
Id imagine that grocery shopping must be kind of a pain though......other than that, THIS right here is the real American dream!!!
Now all you have to do is install a well with a hand pump then you won't have to rely on rain water and great build so far 😊
i agree except i am in the mountains and i would have to get passed the shale rock
In some places the water table isn't reliable.
Pine Creek lake just down the road. Well done Sir
My credit isn't great. My adult daughter and I are basically roommates because of the economy. She can't afford to live on her own and I can't afford for her to move out. We would love to buy land off grid. Growing our own food, having no bills, or very little bills.
Sure the first thing I can tell you is to go online and look up owner financed off grid land... When you see several different websites pop up look for the ones that are in your area or in your state or in the state that you want to be.. that is a good place to start.. be ready to have 15% to put down of the total cost... And like I said do your homework as far as covenants and restrictions and HOA stuff
@@OKLAHOMAOFFGRID Thank you!

If you're single this is definitely not a good idea, those are some lonely nights. Takes a certain type of person to live so isolated.
I recently got permanently approved for disability pension in Canada which they don't even do anymore. I'm well below the poverty line in Canada, but on the flip side have way more than I need to survive monthly. People have told me my whole life I'm so smart and have so much potential. To hell with "potential". It's time I wake up and live a simple life. Thanks man!
I always wanted land in SE Oklahoma. When I was a teenager I lived in Hartshorne OK and really liked the area, Robbers Cave State Park and all the public land to fish and hunt on. Our place in East Texas is great, but I miss being in Oklahoma.
Yeah but honestly I love me some East Texas land also

she is doing so much better..she was starving
You should look into compost toilets! Cheers!
Yes this one can be used as a compost toilet if I just dump it on a compost pile
I have been researching cord wood cabin builds. It’s a great way to build an off grid cabin if your building crew is me, myself and I.
I have been cutting down cedar trees and letting them do some drying out. But that is the cord wood I will be using because of cedar’s longevity.
Good deal
Seems like that would take an awful lot of logs to stack and of course "chink"
For sealing and strength. But would be beautiful
Good job son. Take care of that pup too. Best company you could have
Thank you, I will
Have a car port to park cara or have a have a gathering place. Have a wraparound porch to help shield the weather from going in. Great ideas.
Great channel. Very impressed by your off grid homestead. Doing the same here in Oregon near Portland but didn't get the deals you got since land and houses are very expensive here but I'm working on taking the 5 acre property semi off grid. Putting in a big ground mounted solar system and 4 Tesla Power walls. Property came with a well. Hope I can become next to bill free like you.
I just got online and I looked up off-grid property owner finance.. that is how I found mine.. you're not going to find it like that in every state because not every state is for off grid living like Oklahoma

I kind of wanted to get certain things down and under control one at a time first
@@OKLAHOMAOFFGRID I totally understand, I’ve been subscribed for a while now and I can’t wait to see what you’re gonna do next… Keep us updated on the progress… Thanks for all the great information too.

@@OKLAHOMAOFFGRID Heck yeah, that will be cool
@@OKLAHOMAOFFGRID Great channel and videos you have. I'm also recovering from a surgery I had last year. I still worked on my projects when I came home from the hospital but I couldn't walk. I was in a wheelchair and I had to learn how to walk again and now I can do a slow run at this point. I donated both the wheelchair and the walker so I'm starting to get back on track now. I bought land and paid it off during the pandemic. I'm not ready to live on it yet but it's such a relief to know I've got it. Thanks for all of the inspiration.
N.E. Tennessee here. That's exactly my plan, just haven't came across the right land that would suit our needs yet.👍🏻
Regardless of what happens in the world you are less dependent of it. Do you do canning for your garden? Thanks for taking in the starving pup! Those rescued dogs end up the most loyal.
Yes you're correct I am less dependent in this case I don't do any canning yet all of those things are coming in time and thank you for commenting on the dog my heart just broke for her when I saw her standing on the side of the road about to die

I wish I could do this, but I'm too City Slick. I really love this idea though. Honestly I bought a house before the craziness with no HOA. Refinanced in 2020 that made my mortgage the price of rent like in the early 90's.
But once again I love this. That is a lot of land with out the hassle.
That dog felt safe with you
Yes she still feel safe right now.. 😂.. she still with me but we're looking for a home for her
Beautiful dog. The dog was meant to be found by you. I wish I can have land like you and find peace and solace to meditate and achieve peace and nirvana. That you are showing compassion to a dog in need means that you are in the first steps in a path towards peace. The initial phase of achieving this is by learning compassion.
Much Love

Great job! Well done! But you said no land payment at the end but in the beginning you said it was in house financed. Did I miss something? I want this SO BAD it's starting to kill me. My wage slave life has always felt wrong...living a lie. I'm the number 1 hardest worker you could ever find. But I wanna put that work towards something MEANINGFUL. Instead of being another cog in the machine that kills all our dreams and steals our precious lives away.
Okay I'm sorry if I jumped ahead of myself but yeah I got the land and paid on it for 10 years now it's paid off and I'm explaining the position I'm in now and how I got there
I'm interested for sure. Was country most of my life until I had to move to the suburbs to care for my dad. Ready to go back.
I heard that
I'm still searching for my Alpha partner to do this with lol. Originally, from Texas, but been in Colorado and I've got to get out of this woke hellhole. I do have some health problems now bc there was black mold where I was living up in the mountains this past year. Almost killed me. So, I have to be very careful about mold. 😅
Lol .ya get out of Colorado
Yeah I'm leaving Colorado too got my acres near Stone mountain by TN and NC

You might want to try grapefruit seed extract, buy it in capsule form....and you'll feel better soon.
If someone decides to use lead acid batteries up front to save costs it's ok. Just be aware of the extra maintenance. And you'd need to follow what's called the 50% rule. The more common size is shown here @ 1:43 they are GC2 or 'golf cart'.
Yes that is correct they are definitely golf cart batteries and it is what I started with 10 years ago when I was building my first system and it is what I ended up with 3 years ago and now I have several other systems I've been working on using lithium and you will see some videos coming out where I'm using lithium and also changing these batteries to lithium here very shortly

Good for you! Research rocket stove heaters. With a clay exhaust that you run for about 4 - 5 feet, just a little bit of wood heats up all that clay and provides heat for a day or longer!
Thanks for the tips!

Now I'm really retired.
to each his own
I’m a little worried about this myself…. Being in yourb80’s and dealing with northern Michigan snow and chipping wood can’t be that fun. We’ll see.
Isn’t spell check great?
Imagine if he had a guy named 'Bill' living there that wouldnt leave...after all that work he still has a Bills!😅

I envy you
Hang in there brother we were born for a time like this
Might wanna start compost piles, first thing to do so you dont have to pay for manure. This would lower your food spending and get you some preserves for food stability even in winter if you get cut off. And later you can expand the shed with addition or maybe add a workshop next to it connected by a roofed patio. It will let you keep the shed decluttered.
You could also use all the savings to build a bigger house if you plan to have a family.
great ideas
00:01:51 $3400 for a solar system that doesn't deliver power in the winter .. you should have bought a diesel generator.
My God prosper you in all ways
There's a testimony to my videos
