I have a question ive been doing 6 reps of gymnastic ring holds for 10-45secs and australian vertical rows 7-10 reps for 4 sets and ring pushups 7-10 for 4sets and trying out some L sit progression. My diet isn’t the best I eat as much protein i can in a day which is around 75 grams and just lots of anything. the first week was shitty but i advanced to hold about 45 seconds but with only for a good extended amount of time like 5 minutes apart. I noticed my shoulder being sore and it almost feels like the joint hurts. Like the first week i could feel it in my back upper chest and forearms, am I now getting a bigger back? Whats going on?

This guide is great. If you want to target the anterior delts, and lateral delts (in isolation) as well to get a complete upper body (core excluded) calisthenics work-out, you could try pike push-ups and an externally rotated version of the t- and y-rows.

I've been using this for the last 3 months and I absolutely love it! It's made a huge difference to my appearance particularly with my abs which is surprising since there's no ab isolation exercise, just compounds. I am also a lot stronger. HOWEVER, I have made a few changes to better suit me and this is what it looks like.
35 pull ups. 40 was just too much for me, I was down to only 4 reps during some of my sets so I knocked that down a tad.
3 sets of dips, elbows back on bars. Again 40 was just too high for me and dips arent my main goal, unlike pullups so I'm just using them to balance out my body.
4 sets of pushups. In my opinion, since pushups are quite a complex compound movement it makes sense to do these sooner while you are still feeling fresh.
3 sets of rows. As described.
3 supersets of bicep curls and tricep extensions. That's bicep curls and tricep extensions straight after with no break and the 3 minutes rest after each superset. This is mainly to save time as the workout can take a while particularly if you are like me and taking 3-minute breaks in between sets. Also, I'm far from an expert on this but I believe there is some research showing that supersets can be beneficial.
3 sets of Y&T. This feels incredible on my shoulders! When I'm done my shoulders just feel so much looser, probably because I spend a lot of my day using a laptop. So I quite like to walk away with that sensation rather than doing it in the middle.
Again huge thank you to FintnessFAQ's for publishing this for free, I don't have the money to buy the program but this is getting me pretty far for now.

@ It's not worth putting yourself in financial difficulty for but it is pretty darn good. Would recommend it to someone who is just getting past that beginner stage when the standard exercises like pull-ups get a bit too easy.
To give you a quick overview:
      it's a 4 day a week plan
You get a huge variety of intense
      exercises.
A short but very comprehensive PDF
One or two short videos for every exercise in the program and it definitely has Daniels clear descriptions.
The community is good but the website could do with an update.
And once you get it you've got it for life which is pretty good.
Let me know if I can help explain it any clearer.

    •  2 роки тому +1

@@patrickbourne3819 You explained it really well though i have a question on this ring workout and well do i start with 3-5 reps or how did you do it?
like with every excerise because i have a lot of struggles when it comes to sets and reps and im not sure how to start there.
also did you raise your reps each week? or every 2-3 weeks?

That was without a doubt the most thorough and in depth explanation of every aspect each exercise. One quick question if you read this, is this meant to be done 2 times a week for maximum results? or 3 times a week?
