@@shrikegaming9765 are your ships shared in the steam workshop? I just got into the game (How did I miss this, its amazing) and am struggling a bit with getting started, especially in multiplayer games, when most things are already claimed and my ships are usually very time intensive to build, and end up unbalanced anyways
I’d like to point out that it seems every starting sector, so the very first one you start in, has at least 1 claimable asteroid. Claiming this and selling it, nets you enough money to buy some turrets + upgrades. After mining a bit you can go straight into yellow radar sectors to kill, or even start trading in green ones. Exploring and selling asteroids along the way. Very nice video! I really like your tip on the yellow sectors not being on gate lines. I think you might be right on that one! And I will definetly use it with my unarmed mining drones, which I am to lazy to fly myself.
@@shrikegaming9765 Soo me and my buddy tested it thoroughly. While, yes, it seems like yellow sectors are way less likely on the gate lines.. it's definitely not a hard rule. Found a few right on top of a line. Unfortunatly :P Did you start a new game btw with this update? :)
@@SidMajors. There seems to be no hard rules in this game. I looked at like 5 factions that I have completely explored and it seemed the yellow sectors had a low spawn on gate lines. Not 100%, but low enough to try without good radar. I haven't started a new one, but my old games seem to have adapted to the changes. Found that new factions are huge.
@@shrikegaming9765 Yep, absolutely massive. My starting faction almost got to naonite levels. I'm really digging all the gate connections now. Found some gates that are almost tiny wormholes. Considering their distance. I also feel like there are more rips in spacetime. But! There are now multiple gates going over them everywhere. More tiny wormholes too, I feel. We're having a blast on the new map, can really recommend :)
Been watching your avorion stuff for a couple weeks now, good to see some early game stuff covered. I am just getting into the mid game I think so its nice to see some coverage of strategies to pursue outside of the late game.
Thank you for all your time in uploading these. I'm a new player (played just a bit) but nothing serious. I'm interesting in the trading aspect, not so much the dog fighting. This helped a bunch.
One other thing to mention is that you don't have to necessarily put warheads on foreheads, but as long as you at least get a couple shots in on a pirate raid in a green sector, you'll get money and usually a piece of gear, whether it's a module or turret
Great video. Most of the videos for beginners are years old and, not so useful with all the changes in the game. I look forward to watching your early game lineup. Thanks!
One good piece of advice if exploring sectors that might be dangerous - as soon as you enter the sector, set a hyperspace jump point. Then if bad guys show up or things get bad, you can usually jump away to safety. If they're jamming you, try to outrun the jammer, they have a limited range.
@@loserface3962 Indeed, depending upon the ship. I have a carrier with about 900k shields. I can and have shot down incoming torpedoes but if I can't I just take the hit and keep fighting. :)
For people that need Monel real quick when starting new game i recommend seed "69" without quotation marks with this you starting faction will on war with another faction right down and there is smugglers hideout near that And if you need some money without full raid there is 1 big asteroid on starting area And if you on hidden mass sector you will get 3 big asteroid
do you have any videos on how to set up your first mine? I found a good system with a astroid I claimed and a station that will buy platinum (yes I know it is one of the most expensive mines to set up) but I don't know how to set it up so that it makes money for me.
Yes it's not always true. There is nothing in this game that is the same every game. That's why I said in the video its seems like a higher probability that you won't hit the yellow sectors. I looked at 4 factions that I have explored and it wasn't a sure thing, but it seemed that yellow sectors were less along those lines.
Found it, I think: It isn't tactical view - you disable that in player options, and you can zoom out just as far, but without the grid and /with/ being able to turn the camera.
@@CyberiusT In case anyone else is checking this in the future you are correct. Disable "enter tactical mode by zooming" and you will be able to switch between tactical and super far away camera easily.
lol, I went out with a ship with only 10000 hitpoints.... but it could hit 3800 meters a sec pretty quick.. so I dont agree with ya... if you got a fast ship nothing can touch ya
You're videos are helpful, but they are way too long. I get you want to demonstrate your knowledge of the game, but stick to one topic and be more concise. Wanted to learn up on trading, not have a 20min ship building tips 1st, lol. Also, now that the game is out, maybe double check your videos to see if any of the info isn't obsolete. Side question, what is the difference between directional and std thrusters?
That's why I have a playlist called Outdated as well as a playlist with current material such as Trading ..lol. sorry, it's one of the reasons the vids are so long, if I dont cover things its ends with tons of questions. I have 4 kids and have little time for making videos. So when I do make one, I try to cram as much as possible in, they can get long. Directional thrusters provide more thrust but in only 2 directions, compared to a thruster that thrusts in 4 directions.
@@shrikegaming9765 Didn't notice the playlist deal, was just watching by search results. When you record a vid though, you could maybe just break it up :P. If they run too long I start to lose attention, lol, then might miss the thing I wanted to know most, lol. I get a busy family life. Did you take your channel name cause you like Agents of SHIELD?
It would be better to create a playlist, starting from early game to mid-late, in the future.
Thank you so much for these guides.
I have a playlist just not organized...lol. I will have to work on that.

I dont know whats wrong with my map. But i cannot find much in minable asteroids withing faction space.
good :)
whats the massive structure that surrounds you in every sector. i dont have that.

Why wait to go to the yellow blips "untill you got a decent ship" if there are pirates just warp away, simple as that :)

Another great video. Also just to let you know: 16:12 Seems like your recording software skips when you load.
i am working on it, I think it might actually be the game causing it to skip. This is the only game that ever skips during the recording.
I’ve run into the same issue on my recording. It seems to only effect some people but making a cut before the loading screen should work too.
How do you make continuous money like your video shows? I watch your video and your money just continually grows. How are you doing that?
Mines and stations I own.
Would like to try this game, but the text is so tiny for my old eyes. Do you know if text can be scaled up?
yeah
How did you get all those purple system upgrades?
Research stations allow you to make 5 moduls into 1 of a higher tier.
Are your ships on workshop?
I srsly like your ship design, do you have that in steam workshop?
