- We had so much hope for this bus. The reality is it is better to sell the bus in Texas. It sure has a lot of potential! Help us determine what is worth. We would like recover our expenses and make sure my sister is treated fairly.

Shifting is just by cable. It goes from the transmission up to the throttle where it is linked. You can have a look yourself and see it moving when you press the accelerator down, but the transmission is designed to shift at full throttle so if it is not adjusted to extend fully when the throttle is matted it will not shift. I would suggest checking that both ends are connected and that the cable moves freely with the throttle.. Also be sure the transmission is full to the correct level. If all that works take another test drive and manually shift it and don't be afraid to get the revs as high as they will go before shifting. You can force a downshift manually as well. Even if the modulator cable has issues it will probably shift if you do it manually with lots of throttle.
I know this is a really tough decision for you Bruce after all the work you put into it. You certainly did honor your brother-in-law with your valiant effort and you would’ve made him proud.

I'd say 5K max. That's some VERY high mileage. Most rigs that old don't have over 80k miles on them. Rebuilding the transmission will basically cost what a good running coach of same age would sell for.
Some old coaches are not meant for some owners. I saw a comment on FB that the issue probably could be fixed. I’m fortunate to have been raised in a family business and we had trucks. I don’t know if you tried to talk about the problem on the WOG. I’m sure this has been dealt with by owners. It’s sometimes hard to navigate the WOG and we owners. But I know you could get help. Slow and sure it be fixed.

Can you update us on this Wanderlodge please. Have you sold it yet or is it still available? Were you able to figure out the shifting issue? Could you not take it to the fellas that rebuilt the transmission originally since they obviously work on those units. .. take care and good luck
The bus was sold months back. I have a video introducing the new owner. He has a refreshed 3208T waiting in the wings for this bus.
I think it’s worth well more than 10k. Wonder what you sold it for.. just got one but haven’t touched it
