Safety Third is a weekly show hosted by William Osman, NileRed, The Backyard Scientist, Allen Pan, and a couple other UA-cam "Scientists". Sometimes we have guests, sometimes it's just us, but always: safety is our number three priority.
hearing allen talk about hentai.... while nile says the word Montreal over and over at the same time is a transcendent moment
I chose the wrong conversation to listen to
timestamp?
@@alphaindustries5775 around the 25-26 minute
they actually talk about anime more than the TT boys.
the split audio thing is so nuts because i thought i would get tired of it but i found myself being able to parse both conversations
It was actually pretty funny yeah, enjoyed it, had to listen to it twice to let my brain isolate each conversation lol
@@Patmccalk sometimes I take off one headphone to hear things and I'll forget the audio is split so I'm just hearing 2 of them lol
somewhere in the world there is a kid whit broken headphones parsing both channels in mono very anoyend whit this xD
I usually listen to stuff at 2x speed but apparently I can listen to 2 people at 1x speed just as well
pretty garbage if you dont use headphones though
I can't get enough of Nigel.
I recently discovered his Shorts channel. He uploads a lot more on there. I’m not a huge fan of shorts, but at least I get my fix in between his main channel uploads.
@@Norweeg He mentioned on some podcast episode that he maybe won't be uploading on the main channel anymore but is unsure. He doesn't enjoy making them anymore
@@xWood4000 its high time he branches out and does some other interesting content. it'd be cool if he could travel around and explore interesting stuff kinda like Tom Scott
For a second i understood short shorts, i had to check if he was wearing some
My mom had her identity stolen because some woman got a copy of her library card. It had her legal address. That got her a copy of her birth certificate. Then used that to get a social security card. Then used that to get bills in her name, got a duplicate state ID, took out multiple credit cards, etc.
How the hell did someone get a birth certificate with just a library card? State?
Bruh, in my country you can get someone's ID and you wouldn't be able to do anything without it. Are people so against a federal standardized ID system because m'freedom? Bc I feel like it could be so much more secure if it was a standard across all states. Also in my country as well as in the US you can literally just search someone's full name on google, pay a few dollars and get an address, an ID system should be the least of concerns about privacy.
My mom had her identity stolen because our local post office delivered some of her mail to a stranger that happened to have her same first and last name. It's been 20 years and she gets constant bill collection notices and threats from debters because the woman gives out her address to all the people she owes money to. We went to the police and they just shrugged and said "there's no financial damage so there's nothing we can do".
@@strayiggytv you don't call the police for that, unless they're opening credit cards and shit in your name and tanking your credit score. Call the US postal inspection service
@@whatbroicanhave50character35 Name, address, and stolen bills taken from her mailbox.
That's what she thinks happened. It was over 20 years ago, and I had to ask.
She may have also had pertinent info logged at the library, or it could have been picked up with some social engineering.
It's like an exercise in what not to do in a podcast, but it still works and I love it.
The fear response was an evolutionary advantage because of safety. Somebody experiencing anxiety and doubt is more likely to hide from a threat instead of engaging it, allowing them to continue on to procreate. It just isn't always useful when our brain decides something is more dangerous than it is, in whatever context dangerous is applicable, including perceived "social danger"
Can't wait for the binaural safety third experience.
The dual conversations thing is great, makes me feel like a passenger.🤣
It’s been 20 minutes and it went from a tsa life hack to cocaine 🤣 greatest podcasts of all time
24:50
POV: Your friends are having conversations and you dont know where to join in
the 2-channel split is actually really immersive when listening to the podcast in a car. you still can't follow two conversations at once (realistically: neither), but it really sounds like people are sitting on different sides relative to me
(I don't get that effect when listening with headphones)
wait oh my god the split audio is so pleasing what I actually like this better no cap
I'm glad Allen makes UA-cam videos and didn't go the company CEO way, his ideas are scary
hemp is legal in nebraska, so they extract the "goodie" from tons of it and spray it onto the flowers of a much smaller amount. But d9-THC is illegal federally so they make d8-THC, d10-THC, THC-O, HHC, HHC-O hemp.
They just passed a law in Minnesota making hemp edibles legal. They are making it so you have to be 21 to buy them though, which confuses me. Makes me wonder how concentrated the THC in them is. I would assume not very and lawmakers are just dumb.
:0 I thought we had to wait till next week but WHOOOO
Hemp and hemp derivatives are federally legal in the USA. For example, delta 8 thc is found in hemp. People use it to get high especially in states where Marijuana is illegal
Meilyne is just now realizing she got the normal podcast crew
that starter pistol life hack is amazing
non-destructive modeling is definitely a thing in blender, very different from cad though.
Honestly.... The dual conversation part was actually really... really nice to listen to...
ive watched every episode of the podcast and yall make my day and month everytime i watch ty yall'
also thanks for having estefannie on the podcast i just checked out their content and it is quite cool
"But it was actually diarrhea" Will never change, lol
Please consider adding captions to your future podcasts. Especially during the split audio parts. It is a funny bit but I'm hoh and can't help but feel left out.
From what I understand hemp grows really tall for the fibres inside. "Weed" is bred to grow short and they have bred it for max effects on the other end of the spectrum. As for a plant, hemp is pretty interesting.
Safety Third is the single best pod cast.
Fight me.
The reason nobody's showed up to fight you is that nobody crazy enough disagrees.
Holy shit tuning into just will and allens convo was.......
This one is for sure my favorite, thanks for making working graveyards bearable :)
the split audio portion was my highlight, followed by explaining what they discussed.
The recent split audio bits are amazeballs! 🤪😂😂💀
On iphone, I use the Summary feature to delay a lot of notifications like work emails, discord, etc. that way I can still find out thing happened, and it's in a date controlled "folder" of other things that happened at the same time, and I can dismiss all notifications in a summary one summary at a time.
The split audio is 100% cocaine party.
damn they just don't let Nigel talk in almost every episode, he try to say something like 3 times and gives up.
Gotten on to a nice weekly schedule now ❤️
One moment I'm listening to something about Montreal and then suddenly my right ear picks up watching porn and Teletubbies
This has to be my favourite podcast
Thank you for my free content Daddy William.
48:00 "Fetal thing" Homunculus. Alan was looking for Homunculus.
Amish for the first 15 years of my life, never went to a drive through. Didn’t do a lot of things
The split audio bit is oddly pleasing while multitasking
My buddy worked at one of the cocaine leave extraction plants for a bit.
I was not expecting the split audio and it honestly blew my mind a little bit.
the split audio is just so funny every time lmao
I need to know what was cut
28:40 this was a personal attack
I love the split-audio part.
I am like, 20 minutes in and they have yet to really explain who the person on the couch with Nile is.
I love this podcast. Haha.
Loved this episode! Please more Elon bashing. Love that you guys hate him and his bro cult.
I fucking love nigel
The government doesn’t classify hemp as weed. Before weed was legal hemp was used for a lot of things such as clothing, hemp seed oil, and even milk. Ps: I love the split audio
after listening to the split audio segment from todays podcast. i can safely say. we all have the same type of brain fungus
who was here before Nile got Thanos'ed out of being on the thumbnail pic?
Nile can start his own podcast
Won't this be Allen's second time on TV? Wasn't he on Mythbusters?
Allen isn’t going anywhere near my child 😆
Definitely talking about shooting regular shotgun shells out of a flare gun
Un-deading a person legally is hard because what if you're not the dead person and you're trying to pose as a dead person. Whether to vote or whatever reason. So if someone legally made you dead, you have to prove to the government, or a judge, that you are that person. It probably varies in difficulty per country to get un-deaded.
36:25, just in case I fall asleep
Nigel: there’s no drive throughs or McDonald’s in Montreal
The drive thru McDonald’s in Montreal right by Atwater: well fuck
Ik its a joke but the split audio thing actually works 😂 and there is something my brain likes about it
converting a flare gun into a real gun isn't illegal at all. manufacturing firearms for personal use (not made with intent to sell) is perfectly legal no anything needed as long as the gun you make is infact legal to own. So you cant build a short barrel rifle unless you put in for the NFA tax stamp. but you could make a single shot 9mm pistol.
Adderall is a schedule 2 drug as well
gees get angels wings becas of bread (fathers go out of place)
They only slow us down
Everyone's talking about how they loved the split audio.. I fucking hated it both times lol. But hey, can't please everyone. I still love this podcast, no hard feelings.
55:00 "People who own horses live longer therefore buy a horse"
The thing that everyone kept referencing but couldn't remember the name of is the Ballmer peak or the Ballmer curve, which is the idea that there is a specific amount of alcohol that results in peak performance, named by Randall of xkcd: xkcd.com/323/ A study by the University of Illinois also found this effect to be true for creative problem solving, but not for memory.
I am assuming you guys are talking about a sub caliber flare gun insert. If so they are legal in California although discharge of such devices may be limited.
Is the audio version is uncencored?
36:50 I can hear a scream in the background when she's talking....... am I hearing things?!
Holy Jesus that split audio
1+ on the spit audio
Nerves can help you to focus I swear
17:00 cannabis has been cultivated into 3 major types by humanity for specific purposes; hemp, CBD, THC. There's papers that show there's a single gene that switches hemp to THC.
25:00 weird monetral flex
Best podcast ever ......
The Ballmer Curve
The embryonic phallus grows.
I have been trying to avoid commenting
For forty-six minutes now
But the embryonic
Phallus broke
Me.
The leaf will be preserved
hey, I have never used drivethru and just the whole idea of it stresses me out. I have no friends so there was no occasion. When I am ordering fast food I like to take my time, scroll through menu and make consious decision. Everytime I stand by the counter or in queue I feel that there is some kind of pressure on me to make haste decision. That makes me uncomfortable and often results in ordering too much or unwanted food. Thats why I have never and Ill never use drivethru.
Liked it but,.. wooooow.,.
Hemp is just the male plant lol
If PVC is schedule 40 what are vinyl records? Schedule 4?
Edit: I have to specify records because with this audience someone will point out pvc contains the word vinyl.
You can use rife magazines as well for that trick.
You should ask chubbyemu about how drug tolerance works next time he's on. He's talked about it in his videos, and he might have some interesting things to say about it since you guys were curious.
Psilocybin mushrooms are legal, unless you dry them out.
I believe the difference between hemp and cannabis is the sex, yeah the plant has female and male plants. Male is not intoxicating while female is, I could be wrong.
Would someone mind explaining the thing with the Trash Taste setup? I know of Trash Taste, and what I got from the conversation was that they were in America and when they were going back to Japan, all of their recording equipment for some reason was stopped from going to Japan and then Safety Third took them, is that correct?
It's the opposite, when they came to the US the airline lost 40k worth of their equipment and safety third lent them their stuff and I'm guessing instead of moving the equipment back and forth Trash taste is letting then use their studio
@@videogamescoverftw Ahhh ok
18:16 19:02 20:52
I liked estefannie
Oh GOD why did you split the audio but not shift the sources to match the speakers' positions in the video? 😂
Estefannie is the woman version of Michael Reeves.
24:36
Trash taste podcast had a nice ring to it TBH.
Yeah someone should make a podcast called that
love the lack of ethics in this podcast!
I ship Nigel and Stephanie
Guys just do the entire podcast split, you would never have to wait for each other to speak
Listening to the drive through convo and then all of a sudden I hear "Caillou Henti"..... WAT
ive never been in a drive through, it seems very american to me
If I've never done drugs where should I start?
I was wondering why the girl from the Guacamole machine was not posting more offen. I really wanna see Captain crunch being tasered now.
It's been really funny but also really cool seeing NileRed unfold as a person, he was passive when the podcast started but now he initiates jokes and conversations, really cool to see more of his personality.
I think the IRL part of this podcast helps aid that come out of him
Yeah I think that the other hosts often being unprofessional helps him realize he can be the same
I'd have loved to see him as a guest on Trash Taste also.
this totally
yes yes yes !!!
Loving the uploads not being a month apart like they used to be
that's such a back-handed comment xD
"Everyone else spat it out and Allan swallowed it"
Yes William, it IS okay to make that joke that just passed through your mind at that exact moment.
Passed right through Allan himself.
5 Gallons of Pig nut.
