Thank you very much for your video. I watch over and over how many video. When I watch the way you demonstrate. Very easy to follow and I undrestand the Slide purlwise, wrap around the needle. The begining of the row that I didn't pick up from the video I'm being watching.I'm a very happy person now because I made it. Thank you I will look up for your video if I want to knit a new pattern👍👍❤
You are a very good instructor and I love that you include the pattern in the description below. I can go back to your video and practice. Thank you!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This is my fifth video that I've watched to learn the 2-color brioche stitch and the concise language that you've used made it finally attainable for me! I really appreciate how you explicitly say to slip purl wise. Not all videos explain this and I believe this tip is really helpful. Please continue the wonderful work that you do and happy knitting.
This is the BEST two color Brioche By far !!!!! Thank you so much for simplifying it as I have watched many and tried over and over again to master this technique. I finally succeeded after watching you do it !!!!!
You should be very proud of yourself! I have had a hard time learning this two colored brioche stitch because I do the continental method. Your pace and detailed explanations allowed me to finally get this stitch! I am so very happy and thankful for you taking the time to teach.
The written directions say to cast on an odd number of sts, but the video says to CO an EVEN number. Go with the even number! BTW this was the BEST video on how to do brioche. I might even understand it now! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video. I have been trying to follow a pattern and have ripped it out several times. Your video has clear instructions and you take it slow. You also knit the same way that I do so that makes it easier for me to follow.
I have to say that this is the best Brioche 2 color video I have seen. I have been trying to learn it. Thank you for this video. With you at the wheel I think I do it.
As others have posted, the manner and verbal repetition of this tutorial is super helpful. I’ve been watching several other vids on this and this has been the best one. Thank you very much.
I am so glad I found you. you are amazing ! I have tried to do this and gave up. Your instructions are wonderful. I am getting my yarn and trying this, you go slow for the seniors so we can understand.
Your method is very clear to me. Many videos show casting on an odd number of stitches, as opposed to an even number as you are doing here, not sure what the reason for the difference, but the even number seems more sensible to me. I guess the extra cast on stitch has to do with a selvage edge. Would you mind doing a video showing how to do a two color brioche with a tidy selvage edge please? Much appreciated. Thanks!
Thank you for such clear instructions . I did a cowl but many mistakes I don’t know how to fix also I’m the round like the double needle Thank you 🙏🤗🤗🤗🤗
Thank you so much for posting this video! I watched a few videos about 2 color brioche and I couldn't understand them very well since I'm a continental knitter. Even though you knit english style, your instructions are very clear and simple and I finally got it. Thanks again! I subscribed
I absolutely love your video, I've been wanting to learn brioche for a while (and yes- I will learn entrelac if it's the last thing I do!! 😂), but I love how you teach and have such patience in your voice, I'm definitely saving this and subscribing- greetings from NYC!! 😄🤗💚🌷💜
Thank you so much! I watched ever 2 colour brioche video on UA-cam - and I had a vauge idea but when trying it out, it always messed up! I watched your video and not only is it the best explained (meaning I can do it now!), but I also learned your cast on method as well which is quick and easy! Thank you again and very best wishes. I have subscribed and look forward to all your videos!
I will seriously learn Brioche thanks to your tutorial. Can you also include one on decreases and increases for designs maybe? Again, thank you for another great tutorial!
Hello Joanne how are you? Thank you for your very clear videos...very enjoyable and educational. Could I please ask you 1) what is a life line? 2) what is a life line for? Thank you in advance and please don't ever stop teaching us, you do it very well. Thank you.
Like your videos and clear instructions .... Just an inquiry : In the video you mentioned the cast on to be even number of stitches how ever in the pattern written instructions under the video it says to cast on Odd number ?!!!
If you were making your own pattern does brioche always require an even or odd numbers of stitches cast on? Does brioche use up a lot more yarn vs regular knit and purl?
Yes i too am learning ive seen some nice hat patterns. Trick is learning in the round with decreases ive tried reading a pattern for it on ravelry but its a lot to make sense of but im determined!
This explanation is so good I think I can do it even though I'm a beginner. But I don't know if this pattern would be good for a scarf or if it's better for something else? Love your channel!
What size and brand of doubles are you using? I don’t see any doubles on your amazon page. Also, what would be a good size of doubles to start with for a first timer of Brioche knitting? I’ve never attempted Brioche before, so I really want to learn; thanks to your tutorial, i believe I can work this pretty stitch. Although I have been knitting/crocheting for quite sometime now, I consider myself a few steps above a beginner but, just not a great one yet! Can you recommend an precise and easy read book/s or do you have one of your own for purchase?
You cast on the stitches you need and work the brioche until you have the same hight as with. If you mean starting from the center out, that's another whole game!
Yes, very good and easy to follow. And also an "easy on the ear" voice to listen to!!
Thank you Joanne.
I absolutely agree with you!!
My heart took a heap of joy when you added the life line. 👏👏👏
Thank you very much for your video. I watch over and over how many video. When I watch the way you demonstrate. Very easy to follow and I undrestand the Slide purlwise, wrap around the needle. Superb design. I can't wait to start a new sweater.

Thank you so much. I didn’t realize it was so easy. Glad I didn’t take a $50 class.
Thank you so much for the way you teach! As other ladies stated, this is the best and most explicit instruction! ❤❤
Thanks!

How about doing a video of brioche on the round? I know there are a couple of them out there but your instructions are always so very easy to follow😁
If you were making your own pattern does brioche always require an even or odd numbers of stitches cast on?
Does brioche use up a lot more yarn vs regular knit and purl?
I start with even #. Yes, Brioche takes a lot more yarn.
Now it makes sense!
How do we knit this in the round? Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have learned so much; so glad I found you.
We'll make a video of the brioche in the round, soon.
Yes i too am learning ive seen some nice hat patterns. Trick is learning in the round with decreases ive tried reading a pattern for it on ravelry but its a lot to make sense of but im determined!
Great tutorial thank u so much...!!
Love ur nails!
Says odd number in instructions but u cast on 20 to start.. confusing
Nice video!! Do you have any with increases and decreases?
This explanation is so good I think I can do it even though I'm a beginner. But I don't know if this pattern would be good for a scarf or if it's better for something else? Love your channel!
A scarf would be perfect!
Thank you Joanne
I would like to do this in the round
Bonjour, c'est bien expliqué et très clair...Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo 👍👍👍👍

Oh by the way- do you do a video on entrelac?
Not yet. We will
Do you happen to have a pattern for an easy 2 colour brioche HAT knit in the round? Id love to learn from you if you do one 😊🙏💕
Very nice. It looks just like ribbing.
Fabulous!
Great video... Thank you !!
Thanks. I wish the instructions could be printed above the demonstration.
We'll consider it. Thank you.
how can i knit squares ?
You cast on the stitches you need and work the brioche until you have the same hight as with. If you mean starting from the center out, that's another whole game!
Can you make a hat with that stitch please: thank you
😍😍😍👍👍👏👏👏
