Your tutorial are very clear and easy to learn the two color brioche, I have seen so many videos with no results, I was about to give up, but watching your video, I finally got it. Thank you so much and please make more videos.
Thank you. For me the best demonstration of the brioche pattern knitted flat from beginning to end. I appreciate the pacing of the visual presentation along with your oral explanation. I value this in all your knitting videos. As previously said " you are a great teacher ". 🐑
I'm happy I could help you make friends with brioche stitch. It is a terrific stitch pattern! Here's a playlist with al tutorials about brioche stitch - ua-cam.com/play/PLH_ldSndCil6WP_FdEfRDgNbGig7_Msjr.html I hope you'll find it helpful :-)
Thank you! I needed a refresher on how to do two colour brioche and I found this video really useful. Appreciating the written guide now that I've been through the video a few times too. Appreciate all your hard work!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I can do one color brioche in my sleep, but since I'm a eastern-style / russian-style knitter, I got confused with every one of the continental tutorials and tried to slip the stitches knitwise on a purl row. My niece whats a two color brioche headband for her birthday, so I just HAD to master it. After watching and knitting along, it's EASY now!
You are awesome !! Very good teacher. I wish you lived next door to me so I had someone to show me what I do wrong. Knitting is exact, which I like, but it can be frustrating also. Lucky I dont live next to you, I would be by you more than my place. Be well. Stay well and thank you so much.
Just subscribed to your channel. I have watched a few videos now and they are extremely helpful as a beginner knitter. You're instructions are so clear and easy to follow along too. Definitely my go to knitting channel :)
Brilliant - so easy. Started here, did a swatch. Basically the YO & slip PW are a way to carry the yarn with you as opposed to carrying along the back of the work. After this, I worked my pattern version and got it - number of stitches odd or appears to change the order of the 'carry' stich/s appear either before or after the first knit or purl stitch (worked stitch), either that or when you attach the 2nd color - after the set up row or after 1st row. But as noted the number of color stitches that predominates is the last color worked and once the pattern is established it's pretty easy to pick up and see what your next row needs to be!
I always have trouble with the brioche stitch. I have attempted it a few times but usually give up. After watching your video I think I understand it much better and will knit a two color brioche scarf. Thanks for the clear instructions.
You can use the same idea of changing colours in every row when you work in the honeycomb brioche pattern (ua-cam.com/video/4imyGyrznHU/v-deo.html). Happy knitting :-)
I really like your video on the provisional cast on using a crochet hook and knitting needle. I’d love to see you combine that with a two color brioche with symmetrical selvedges. No one explains as well as you do! For example, which color do you start with after the provisional cast on? How are the first and last stitches worked? You are my knitting guru! Many thanks.
Thank you so much for the kind words and many thanks for the suggestion to use provisional cast on with two-colour brioche. I would be very careful when combining such a puffy stitch pattern with such a stretchy cast on. Brioche usually works much better with a non-stretchy cast on. Otherwise, it gets too messy. Happy knitting, my friend :-)
I love your explanations and teaching style! I have learned so much from your videos! I really like that when I learn from your videos I leave understanding why the new technique works instead of just how to do it. This definitely helps me problem solve when I make mistake! Could you please do a tutorial on double sided color knitting? Happy holidays!
Thank you :-) And many thanks for the suggestion. Double knitting is not a simple technique but I'll look into ways to make it more straightforward. Happy holidays!
That's a very interesting project you have in mind, Marcello :-) Yes, it is possible to make but it won't be easy. The way I understand your idea, you want to put cables in different colours on a brioche background. If that's the case, you should use one or two colours to make the brioche background, and treat the colours that you use to make cables as segments worked in intarsia. That means that you will use a certain colour only within the stitches of a certain cable. It will be a bit confusing but it seems that you are up to the challenge :-) Good luck!
it took me ages to get the hang of this technique and this is by far the clearest and most helpful tutorial i have come across, thank you so much!
Thank you 🙏 I am glad you find this tutorial helpful. Happy knitting, my friend!

Every one of your videos are so clear to understand the process. Thank you.

You are right, Julie - once we understand the logic behind this pattern, everything becomes very easy. Happy knitting :-)
Thanks, makes everything clear.

Thanks for such clear instruction, using contrasting colors and large needles.

Hi Lucy. Thank you for watching my tutorials. I'm happy to hear that you learn from them. Thank you :-)
Thankyou - I have a question - Could I do 4 colour brioche? ie: Black main colour and three cables - each a different colour? (Green white and red)

Have you tried doing two colour brioche in russian style?
Yes, I did. The process is the same as explained in this tutorial, but we knit and purl the Russian way.
@@10rowsaday cool, thanks for the answer, will try. I prefer russian but learned brioche continental according to all the available sources.
