Not for Imerina, but you should do another episode of A to Z with multiplayer. We’re 9 seasons in, and we’ve had one multiplayer game, that being the Aztecs.
I thought that was a lot of land to conquer, but I was gonna suggest conquering every center of trade in the I ndian ocean to celebrate the short season I so, I see what you're getting at
The Inca and Aztecs really needs new mission trees. The Aztecs have so much potential, there should be an alternate path where they use their Pacific coastline to trade with China and Japan, and to get a foothold in Philippines (just like the Spanish did irl).
@@amir_iceking I feel like the missions are more important. Especially if done well they could present lasting modifiers making up for earlier, ideally historic weaknesses after actually having done something to overcome them.
@@sizanogreen9900 I agree, mission trees act like a guide for the run and adds ton of flavour in the process, making it impossible to be boring. Aztec and Inca campaigns can get you bored easily after defeating hordes upon hordes of Europeans just to be a big blob in America. Adding a colonial game to it would make them way more enjoyable.
They need to get the Burghers Estate priviledge that removes inflation increase from gold mines tbh. Mali gets it, Norway gets it a few other gets it. Aztecs and Incans deserve it too.
So, one thing you can do is release a subject once you've spawned an institution, have them embrace it, and reform off them. Or at least that used to work, not sure if it does on current patch.
Imerina is Malagasy culture, which are a culture from a mix of Austronesians from Borneo and African cultures from mainland Africa both settled Madagascar. So you could unite Madagascar and East Africa as well as Conqueor all of Indonesia.
It's something I can't stress enough: whoever walks through uncolonized land should get a 5% attrition instantly. Thats land with no substance nor infrastructure...how the heck would you be able to feed 30k+ men?
I did a campaign as Cusco to Incan Empire that ended with the A Sun God achievement. I fought off multiple invasions from Portugal, Spain, France, and Great Britain. My advice to anyone playing this nation: after conquering the other natives, focus on defense and colonizing. I had a lot of fun and actually found the achievement to not be incredibly hard to get even though it’s listed as Very Hard on the wiki.
Im so happy its an actual successful run instead of you screaming "WOOO I DEFEATED NATION X" while bankrupt, 8 corruption and -3 stab. But no, this is an actual success! Great game!
My man Red Hawk... Just a small suggestion for you here. When you're wars with Europeans are going good, you take those lands they are colonizing from them. Their provinces are a fraction of the adm to core them up, and often give zero over extension. Plus, you can often get ones that are hiding behind Terra Incog as well. You just have to scroll way down in the warscreen province list to find the colonial provinces that can be taken. You can get a LOT of lands from them IF your capital is in the New World. I'm just saying... In your peace deal with Spain, there may have been better options...
whenever I play as the natives in Central or South America, i never tech up until i reform religion. i only dev. and i blob fast to be able to beat my neighbors through sheer numbers alone once they do tech up. and then when it's close to time to reform religion, i save up monarch power to about the max, so i can take exploration-expansion as fast as possible
You're ultimate peace treaty was basically just more money from what they were going to offer at the start of the war. You probably could have built up stronger if you took that deal
I think the Andean tags have an advantage compared to Tupiniquim or Arawak. The latter two are right next to where Castile and Portugal first colonize; they can get conquest cbs and have the motivation to conquer you because of your proximity (“wants one of your provinces”). I played Arawak and conquered in the Andes but then Castile could keep demanding my land in peace deals, asking me to concede colonial regions. There is more time for Spain and portugal to settle and form colonial nations, so then Spain might not directly declare on you. Also, you can conquer their cns and get institutions, catch up and fight them. Often it helps to get European Allie, if possible.
That's definitely really unlucky to get declared war upon that early. I managed to colonize a large quantity of the Patagonian region as well as make my way all the way to Panama before the war came.
I think you should go back and do Dai Viet if the share between Cusco and Inca is good for this series, since the only other nations that get their ideas are formed by rebels after 1444.
Ah, Imerina, the landlocked island nation... Switzerlake - Imerinalake? Have X (500 provinces in Africa seems like infinite pain) inland provinces, giving the coast to vassals.
It’s a slog to get through, especially since you need to own every province in South America, including all colonizable provinces. Much too long for these A to Z videos
If you haven't got it already, you should get the Where are the Penguins? achievement for uniting Madagascar and conquering all the southernmost provinces in the world as a Malagasy country
As Imerina, vassalize Kongo and Mutapa and help them progress through their mission trees to become Empires and kick out/keep out the Muslims/Christians from the lower half of Africa
Why do you max out root out corruption when you lower army maintenance and turn off forts? Doesn’t rooting out corruption cost money, also did you even have any corruption? Did I misunderstand what you’re doing?
Could you please make a guide for one of the Japanese starting nations. Doesn't matter which one, just would like to see how to play them and maximise them proper, what their advantages are, etc.
Oda is really good militarily, your land leader siege and fire could take you far with them. Then you become independent and take the shogunate from Ashikaga. Ashikaga is really good for stacking vassal force limit and vassal income. The shogunate government is basically like the revoke the privilegia vassals in the hre. Japan as a united tag has decent ideas but the shogunate government is much better imo. Some people like exploiting to get So as a wukou pirate republic shogun. I wouldn’t bother with exploration because you can’t steer as much trade back to Japan. As shogun, you’d probably want to conquer in the steppes and get at least near Lithuania or Georgia for institutions. Admin, Influence, Offensive, Quality, Humanist.
@@Rosemarie_and_tomato Or you could dev up, but you’d have to be a better tall player than me for that. The horde shock advantage and cavalry would suck to face early. If you go wide then you can avoid the mana cap somewhat. If you get map knowledge and nocb biapas then you can skip the steppe. Institutions would reach you quicker than most of east Asia.
@@LegateLynx it's nearly better to dev institutions for any country, even with no bonuses for dev Exceptions are quite a few, like if institution spawned in a neighbor province
@@Rosemarie_and_tomato I think that the advantage of deving for institutions decreases as the total development increases (especially when spread over many provinces). Once as Muscovy I spent a lot of mana deving Neva and Novgorod. Reaching renaissance embracement in 10% of dev still took time for the institution to spread to other provinces. Two reasons why you would want to conquer west as a shogun: the chance to vassalize more daimyos, and to conquer provinces which have embraced newer institutions. I find that institution spread vs deving is viable in Poland or anywhere further west. That said, getting colonialism in Oceania before Europe could be great. I’ll have to give deving institutions a second chance.
