Matt, Bad Flashes, Bea, Mike Gray, King Jvpes & more. This is like the film photographer Avengers
D'ont forget grainy days ✌️
I was so pleased to meet you at Monday Night Brewing, Matt. I was the guy from Dayton who showed you a few Chillicothe snaps. Your channel is a great source of inspiration when my photo mojo is low. Your comments on how photography tends to be a solitary activity for you, but how having the opportunity to connect with a community of fellow photographers really resonates. This experience is going to motivate me to seek more such connections.
Matt! What a great time & a pleasure to hang out with you over those few days. Looking forward to the next time we meet again.
& thanks for making me look like I know how to juggle a soccer ball ha
No shade to the other creators who were invited, but you’re the first one that I’ve seen who explicitly stated that KEH flew y’all out and gave y’all swag and etc. Always appreciate the honesty and transparency you bring Matt!
1600 thank you for the knowledge
That was a lovely video. I saw you at KEH on Thursday but you guys were busy and I was too shy to talk to anybody. It was good seeing you in flesh.
I'm a local and was at the photowalk. It was great seeing all my favorite UA-camrs and yeah, feeding off all that photo energy that day. Thanks for coming, Matt.
There aren’t enough words to describe how this video made me feel. Take me back to #Filmstock2023 🧡🥹
I'm from Germany and at the beginning of my photography journey. Although I know I will never be able to come over sea to attend such an event and meet all these great people / content creators, it's still cool to watch this through your channel and you telling the story. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for sharing :)
It was great to be at Filmstock and meet everyone including you. We met only briefly but I was the guy who handed you the Polaroid on the second night.
Thank you for that! It was great to meet you as well!
It was so nice to meet you at the photowalk Matt, happy to just be able to say hi and thank you for the videos over the years. It was a great event and I loved being able to walk the area I live in with so many photographers from all over. It was really wild to see so many people taken back from the number of photoraphers but then also so cool to see everyone asking people for a portrait to sharing information to share photos. Just felt like the whole community got to mesh with everyone out on the beltline for a Saturday. Couldn't have been better. Thanks for coming out, you and all the others who flew in!
It was such a good time! Thank you for coming out.
Is that Lamy 2000? Would love a side episode about all thing stationery
Love this so much hate that I was out of town for it! I’ll definitely be there next year!
Bryan Birks da Gawd
Don’t let my aura distract you from the fact that in 1998, the Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell in a Cell, and he plummeted 16ft through an announcers table.
Fabulous! This is very encouraging. Thanks for the video, Matt. 👌
Cheers!
Kevin Parratt,
on the other side of the World.
Love the portraits! Can you tell us about your notebook/pen combo?
Lamy 2000? One of my favorites.
Sadly I’m not staying in the US and therefore can’t attend film stock. Looks like you all had loads of fun. So happy for you. God bless
I misss you Matt Daddy Day! ❤
I randomly saw that KEH had Polaroid Go's for $40 one day and got one, and it IS such a great little thing. On paper it makes no sense in the Instant world, but the size of everything on it is amazing. Pro tips: It's fixed focus, so half-press sets exposure...use that to your advantage. If you hold down the shutter button, it also delays ejecting, so it's like the ultimate stealth street pola...I bought a bunch of expired film from Retrospekt and have been shooting the Go waaaay more than I thought I would
ATL represent!
as a G1 owner that scene at 2:00 lowkey blew my mind sheeeesh
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I live about 90 minutes north of Atlanta. Wish I'd known about it! Maybe next year.
It's nice to see how you keep sticked to your way of seeing and photographing things. It's easy to be distracted at such a big event but your photos seem to have been done in solitude. That says so much about your approach to photgraphy. And, of course, it seems to be something magical among the M6 the HP5 and Matt Day. (Hope Molly does not read this) 😜❤
yeah dudeee #FTA
Damn you came to my city !
There are real people! I'm a real boy!
I really wanted to go 😢💵 it was a very expensive getaway
I’m from Northern Spain, Europe how can I get involved this really looks great it could be huge in the future.
A Lamy ? How's the "squeak/sing" from it?
What a cool event! Kind of random Matt, but any chance you've covered your journal/fountain pen setup in a video? Stay well!
I went to Atlanta a week later ):
Dang i am customer of three of yall and I didn't even know, 😮
In all sincerity, the best part of Filmstock was getting to hang out with everyone. All of the film photographers and the UA-camrs, especially yourself were awesome! We got to talk a good bit at Monday Night about photo books (and the box of Polaroids) and a bit on the photo walk and it was just really cool to get to know the guy behind the Leica. Open invite still stands if you ever find your way down to Greenville. Great meeting you, other Matt
How did you have the willpower not to purchase anything at KEH!?
Bit heavy on the marketing here for me. KEH is a business. Can we leave it at that?
I'd love to earn an opportunity to chat with you. I'd even be willing to fly out to Ohio and hang!
Just curious, was there any photographers invited that weren't UA-camrs? I wonder how important is having YT as an outlet.
Looking at the footage of the group in the warehouse tour and studio shoot, those parts seem like influencer events?
It's free advertisement.. probably the best advertisement.
I visited KEH’s showroom earlier this year and was very disappointed, sorry! It took them about 15 min to retrieve a camera from the warehouse. The employee who helped me was put out that I asked to confirm the meter was working and having to unshrinkwrap the camera and locate a common button cell which required more time-consuming hunting around the premises to locate one. As it turned out, the meter was *not* working and this person was not the least bit apologetic that I had driven across town to buy a camera that had been advertised as fully functioning. I think the online experience at KEH is great but the in-person experience did not live up to it!
Not throwing shade on you Matt - you and your channel are awesome I’ve been watching for years!! Congrats on your well deserved success. You also got me into collecting cameras. GAS as you say.
