- Amsterdam has always been famous for its Red Light district and cafes selling funny 'cigarettes', but there is a lot more to the city than that. The city avoided bombing in World War Two and as a result there are many well preserved buildings in the old part of the city dating from the 17th century. Bicycling is a way of life here and the flat landscape makes this a great way to see the city. Add to this the beautiful canals and boulevards and Amsterdam becomes a picturesque city with a rich history that will be enjoyed by all ages.

Slick video, but when you talk about "brilliant museums" while showing the Vodka 'Museum' and the 'Sexmuseum" you're doing Amsterdam a disservice. Both are tourist traps, to say the least.

How very naive, it is not just about your own intentions but also about these people respecting others as well. People are so self involved they cannot even see problems staring them in the face.
Not all are bad, but if they do not mix with society but stay in their own little bubble of gay hatred, female suppression and hatred towards anybody that has something to say about Islam. In those cases they do become a problem, not like we have not seen outragious things already. Stop ignoring the obvious, stop living in your fantasy world and face the problems that exist.
