Ellie feeling scared about someone coming to find them when they’re sleeping in the woods, causing Joel to stay up all night to watch and make sure it doesn’t happen. My fucking HEART ❤️
What Ellie meant by innocent people was people like herself and Joel, people who weren't taking sides but just going about living their lives. Joel, Tess, Tommy and their crew ambushed innocent people, robbed them and killed them. They tried to make it seem like just a necessity for survival, but Joel knows that is just avoiding the truth of what they had done and who they had become. It's the shit they did that Tess was talking about when she told him to take Ellie and set it all right.
I imagine that whenever possible they robbed people without killing them, they didn't execute (or eat) them all like some of the other groups in this world would do. But yeah, they almost certainly still ended up killing innocents, when they fought back or tried to flee after being ambushed.
@@snapgab They did execute people. You don't ambush and rob people and then let them go to later arm themselves and come back after you. In episode 6 like in the game, Tommy will confront Joel and call him on his bullshit in trying to avoid the reality of what they'd done. He says they were murderers, not just people forced into doing bad things by circumstance. That's why Joel is upset by Henry calling himself a bad guy because he'd done a bad guy thing. Joel immediately cuts off the conversation and makes everyone leave. He knows that Henry actually had a real motivation in Sam for doing what he did that he doesn't. Joel was an actual bad guy who has a reputation among the families and friends of those he's killed and harmed which will catch up with him in the second season.
Neil Druckmann said that Perdo was picked because he is good at showing a hardened surface but also has the ability to show his softness break through his crust. He didn't say it in these words but you get the gist.
Yes, Pedro Pascal is outstanding actor. I never knew him before the Mandalorian. But then I saw him as Wonder Woman villain, Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Then I look him up, and he’s in GoT (I don’t know him back then) That was all very diverse characters. That’s how I know he’s great actor.
I loved the change from Joel not wanting Ellie to have a gun so she won't accidentally shoot him to him wanting her to not be a "bad guy" or do bad things.
That not what Joel mean in the game. He basically has the reason just like HBO. Its just an excuse Joel doesn't want Ellie to murder or felt guilty killing or hurting people. Joel just pretend ignorant and try to avoid some relationship with Ellie as much as he can. But we all know he cant. HBO just spill directly what Joel means because short of screen time & rush it.
As soon as I saw her pull out *THE* joke book I actually threw my fists sky high. And I’m so glad that they added the diarrhea joke because I was afraid they would *run* out of ideas. But seriously, this show is so insanely faithful to the game that it doesn’t feel like a show but almost like and expansion pass/extended cut of the game. Even though I do miss the scene of Joel teaching Ellie how to use a rifle and then saying “No matter what happens, you make every show count” I still love him teaching her how to use the pistol because a) it shows the bond between these two growing and b) it tells the audience that Ellie had some training from FEDRA so her learning quickly feels natural. And now we are getting to see the more human side of the people who were trying to kill Joel and Ellie in Kansas City (instead of Pittsburgh like in the game). Neil Druckman and Craig Mazin said their inspiration came from how throughout history there have been cases where the revolution that usurps a repressive regime becomes just as bad if not worse than the previous regime. Also loved that we got to see Jeffery Pierce (aka Tommy from the games) finally show up in the show!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I'm pretty sure they'll still work that scene in somehow, because allowing her to have a gun for selfprotection to handing her a rifle and actually trusting her to give him cover fire would be a significant next step in their relationship
As somebody who has been around since the beginning of this channel, I gotta say how proud I am of you guys for sticking with it through the years and making one of the best reaction channels on YT. Watching your videos is like hanging out with friends even though ya'll don't know me. :)
The shootout part showed a small, but important, detail of realistic humility when the guy at the back of the truck is shot and his buddy actually stopped to check on him before going after Joel and Elle inside the Laundry Mat. It was an action like that that you would think would be a normal reaction after someone you knew well or a member of your group was just shot but we never see that happen in the movies. People get shot and are treated like an extra and maybe later on we see a burial or ceremony based hours later.
The kid begging for his life was a nice touch. In the game you kill the hunters show calls them raiders and there’s no impact to it more guys just start shooting you. Part 2 kinda implemented some of them would beg for there life’s but the way the show showed it the guy was scared he didn’t wanna die. Makes the threat human and makes sense because people are just trying to survive there not in invincible like the game kinda makes them out to be.
I find Nikki and Steve’s Last Of Us reactions to be calming and comfortable to watch right before bad, helps me get to sleep and I mean that as a compliment
I know this is a year old, but it absolutely tore my heart out. I mean Im just hitting my late 20s but Brian just seemed like a kid following orders to me. It also humanized him, which made it worse.
The fact that people would be upset about Pedro being Joel is so funny to me, because he is a kickass actor. I would’ve been worried if it gone to a actor I thought wasn’t that good, but I was so happy when I heard it was him, because he kills it in everything he’s in.
I remember a long time ago when The Last of Us was being first discussed as a movie, Hugh Jackman was being thrown around as Joel and I thought (still do) think that he’d be a great Joe. But when I heard Pedro Pascal was playing him, I was sooooo excited! He’s done a great job
That laugh at the end at the “serious question: did you know diarrhea is hereditary? It runs in your jeans/genes”, was so delightful and genuine. I loved that moment so much.
I was smiling through the whole episode and you can’t even imagine how happy i was when ellie found bills ‘’magazines’’ and when she pulled out the joke book etc. such a well done adaptation
7:53 I've seen a lot of post-apoptotic stories. The way he looked at Ellie, he understood he's traveling with a 13-year old girl that is more valuable than any resource in dire times like this. If there is no society, there are no rules. This show doesn't cut any corners when it comes to realistic hard subjects like that. You've done a huge service to HBO fans not spoiling literally anything about how this show ends. Bless you Nikki & Steven for holding your tongue.
15:03 Warning this is a super depressing subject. My brother has been a geriatric RN for 15 years. When someone is about to die, they always call out to their mom, like that raider did in that scene. Amazing writing that struck me to my core hearing real-life stories. This show is just emotionally devastating as GoT and Breaking Bad. Nikki's reaction to the "mom, mom mom!" brief scene hit me so hard, that's why I felt compelled to comment.
It’s almost hauntingly beautiful how, in an apocalyptic world like The Last of Us, nature really takes over the environment. Seeing all of the places they travel through and how drastically different, yet similar, to our world they are is just incredible.
I'm just waiting for the giraffe scene. That is really impactful (when I played the game). I know that sounds weird, but it is a beautiful moment where we see Ellie doesn't have a normal childhood. Doesn't know what zoos are. Feeding a giraffe would be so weird in her shoes.
@@Flufferz626 It’s like in the second game when Abby and Owen find the aquarium and refer to it as “One of those zoos for fish.” Like, they don’t even know what an aquarium is, and they were teenagers when they found it! I too am excited for the giraffe scene; I wonder how they’re going to film it? Considering how well all of the infected have looked so far, a giraffe should be a piece of cake😅!
I'm loving the characterization between these two. Ellie's pun book that she kept from Riley, Joel teaching her how to properly care a gun insinuating the trust he's instilling in her, not to mention how quickly they still get in a lot of progression in despite the short runtime. They waste no time with this. The fact they even gave some depth to some of the hunters here is also a massive plus.
I love how Steven thinks logically about this episode in real-terms. 50+ flights of stairs with barely and food and water. That comment really pulled me even deeper into the depths of this story with things we take for granted as viewers. Excellent contributions as always, both of you
The scene where Joel had to kill that teen in a kill or be killed world was tough to watch, but also that scene where Ellie made Joel laugh was so wholesome.
When Joel finally laughed at one of her jokes and they laid there laughing together, it made my heart smile so wide I cried happy tears. Such a great episode. So many parts from the game in this episode. So good.
What I found interesting and very well done is the fact that Ellie asks a lot of questions partly because she's still wondering if and when Joel is going to abandon her because at this point she is still just cargo and she is scared even if she doesn't want to show it
I agree Steven, the scenes of the ruined world are dope. The bond these two are forming get better and better with little "reveals" as their own characters grow. The story line and how the show "connects" on so many levels is awesome. Yes Pedro can laugh:-) They are really crushing this series. Thanks for another great show.
The way their relationship is, I wonder if it reminds him of his daughter. Their playful fussin' were just the same and deep down she brings him joy cause that diarrhea joke was hilarious 😂 made him smile again
I'm going to be super bummed if this is the only episode to feature the pun book. By far my favourite banter between Ellie and Joel in the series so far.
Noticed when she mentions he can't hear well out of his right ear, at the end when they are caught sleeping by the kids, he's laying on his left side, right ear up. Didn't hear them approach.
You should check out The Reel Rejects they have good reactions too. They have two guys that have played the games and then they have other reactors that have never played the game so you get two reactions from different sides. You should check them out.
I wondered if they were going to put the magazine scene in... I LOVED it. And I love the dad jokes... Bella Ramsey is KILLING it as a curious, still innocent-ish 14 year old who learned from a young age that you need some lightness in the world. Their scenes in this episode were AMAZING and this is becoming my favorite show of all time... move over GOT, you got de-throned... Oh and Nikki... Why should you never fight a dinosaur? Cause you'll get jurasskicked
@@Tarhockey33 I will have to re-watch it tonight because to be honest, I was so happy to see it (it's one of my favorite scenes) that all I did was have a huge stupid grin on my face the whole time. But then again, I'm easily pleased, so...
@Toukie don't get me wrong I'm happily suprised they actually did that. It's just when I watch the game version compared to this...idk it felt a bit forced from the live version. I'm not trying to be hyper critical and not like it will make me not watch it, just....idk, something that I couldn't help but noticed if that makes sense
GOOD NEWS Episode 5 is coming out earlier this friday because Sunday it's Super Bowl Thanks America Send love from France We can see the rewriting from the game Neil did an amazing job the way Joel cares about Ellie being a kid and Ellie's innocent face when he told her he was a bad guy makes the scenario more realistic 💔😢 Like the kid begging for his life screaming MOM MOM MOM I am probably a 26 years old man and I should be less sensitive with criminals but sorry I felt really bad for him Being gay the scene when Ellie is reacting to gay porn magazines in the car was one of my favorite moment in the game so I am so glad they put this scene in the show haha 😂
This ep made my gamer heart soooo happy it was so so so so good. The actor that you mention it seems familiar it's Jeffrey Pierce and he's the Tommy voice in fact he did Tommy's voice the whole time. 😍😍😍😍😊 Loving these reactions!!!!
There's an old saying in war, a mortally wounded soldier almost always calls out for their mother. The goal in that scene was to humanize the "bad guys", something they did in the second game. It's all about telling the viewers that there is no true "good or evil" in their world; just various degrees of each in all of us. After all, no one is the villain in their own story.
This show is setting the bar extremely high for video game adaptations on screen. Like they are doing everything right now matter what they add or don't add from the games. In the guy that was with Kathleen looking for Sam and Henry that's the guy who does the voice of Tommy and the games.
It's cool to see what they've done so far with KC. I remember notices going out around that time period when they were filming on location and they had certain sections blocked off. Super cool.
You recognize that guy, Perry, because it’s the real Tommy from the game. Voice is a dead giveaway. Jeffrey Pierce. I love how every pun comes somewhere within the game if you got them to trigger. Also, pretty sure who Ellie killed b4. Was unsaid in the game but had to go down that way I’d think. Great video. You two are always a pleasure.
1:05 You aren’t the only one who loves Bill’s setup. Another UA-camr said by the time Bill had given them a shower, a sumptuous meal and great wine, their mind would be made up on staying not leaving. I believe the phrase used was “Hmmm I would have been ready to do something strange for a piece of change” 🤣😂
Sleeping in the truck has obvious advantages like warmth, protection from weather, quick escape ability. But it is also a target. Especially one with that much white showing at night. You're also trapped inside, it may not be as comfortable as being able to stretch out and it also sound deadening. And Joel already doesn't hear that well. Which, not only is the fact that he was sleeping on his good ear one reason he didn't wake up, but troubled with the fact he may not have slept for at least 48 hrs, he was probably out like light once his body relaxed enough while laughing that night.
That part where they drove past the train bridge. That is Lethbridge, Alberta. I live there. The bridge is actually fully intact and used every single day. It's the longest and tallest bridge of it's kind in the world. I pass it every day too and from work.
You probably haven't seen him, but you've definitely heard the big-bearded guy in the military gear. He's Jeffrey Pierce: the guy who played Tommy (voice + mocap) in the games.
@@LoungingPotato that’s the worst thing to bring a character to life from a game to not even see the character for who they were known to see for and besides the personality the nationality , eye cole , face structure and etc just plays a huge part of that with that acting . Anyone could be the best actors in the world that were great and known for that special something they did in a project but it’s like randomly choosing anyone that can act bringing them in a show based off a game should be someone who also looks it not just acts it . Fans of Mario were even mad Chris Pratt is voicing Mario and couldn’t imagine if they decided to do a live action mario instead to where we still saw Chris Pratt play Mario on screen rather then voicing Mario wheh he looks nothing like Mario just wearing the outfit and trying to do the voice . He’s caucasian wheh marios Italian and actors like him for example are great actors but only work for certain roles like star lord In guardians of the galaxy for example . The biggest complaint about the last of us show is the casting I bet if anything else . Shows still great and Pedro and Bella act out the characters okay but don’t look anything like them wich takes me out in alot of moments of the show compared to the game
@@LoungingPotato they definitely need to look the part as playing the part based off the characters coming from the game people know and saw them from. Just because there’s great actors doesn’t mean that any role suits them especially based off a game that’s not a show from fans of the game that not only knew them from off of for there personality/ acting but there appearance . The Joel and Ellie on the show look nothing like them and it just takes me out of it. Feel like I’m looking at cosplayers in there outfits with the hairstyles but being played by a different nationality when in the game they were caucasian with a different eye color and face structure. Rather have both then not the show at all cause that’s really the biggest complaint for most people who played the games to now see it become a show . It’s like the debate with everyone having there favorite spiderman and could only see that one actor playing him at best not just personality/ acting wise but the whole package not half assing it . Or trying to replace Arnold with a different actor for the terminator when he was and will forever be meant for the role . Things that were based off something will not mostly be as good as what it came from . Like the game of thrones books did better then the show , Harry Potter books did better then the films , walking dead comics mostly better then the show , and not the last of us better then the show from what I’m seing . Having a better looking cast despite the acting makes everything add up more to be perfect. Watching last of us without playing the games is one thing but to act like everything’s fine with the show wheh hardcore last of us gaming lovers like me will judge cause we’re that passionate to wanting it all not just great acting. Last of us games been out over a decade and I’ve played it alot throughout the years and looked at and got attached to those characters a lot throughout the years . I have ever right to say the actors we have on the show don’t fit perfectly for the Joel and Ellie everyone loved from the game wich is why the show was made in the first place not just the storytelling but everything that made it such a massive success . People that are Mario fans already don’t like that chris pratt is voicing Mario when they want someone to sound way more like him . Couldn’t imagine if Nintendo instead did a live action and wanted Chris to be Mario on screen when Chris is caucasian as Mario from the games is Italian great actors like Chris for example shouldn’t randomly be thrown in stuff like that and fit better roles for there careers like star lord in guardians of the galaxy . You get my point.
@@osojasmine8288 People definitely didn’t hate Chris Pratt as Mario because he doesn’t look like Mario lmao. They hated him as Mario because he can’t voice act as that character to save his own life. Which-again-comes down to embodying the character being more important. I guarantee you that four episodes into this show, there are far less people who think they should have cast other actors after seeing Bella and Pedro’s performances. Because they realized that looking the part pays no real importance
Such an amazing episode, I loved how completely broken down all the cars beside the roads looked, the action was great, and they really did a great job at showing how Joel & Ellie bonded.
Nice to see Joel warm up to Ellie. Loved the visual effects of this episode :you can see all the destruction, the abandoned cars and the roads deteriorated. Solid episode
While you're right that the term 'innocent people' is a gray area 20 years into the apocalypse, I think it's important to clarify that Joel, Tess and their crew are implied to have done legitimately awful things to people who didn't deserve it. I think people like to plug their ears whenever it comes to air that Joel isn't some golden savior.
Thought the episode was great. Mazin has a great understanding of The Last of Us by handling the violence in a realistic and emotional way. Happy that they haven’t shied away from Joel’s violent and morally ambiguous past. Also love all the attention to Joel’s age. Makes him feel lore realistic. The joke book and porno mag were icing on the cake. Happy that they got both in the show. Those moments led up to the highlight where Joel had a legitimate laugh at Ellie’s diarrhea joke 😂 ‘Twas awesome! Such good character building moments in this episode. Kinda miss the “he ain’t even hurt” line when Ellie asks Joel if they were going to help the Hunter asking for help. Something about that line and Troy Baker’s delivery really stuck with me. It’s the little things that get ya 😂 And it was great seeing Jeffrey Pierce, Tommy from the games, as the lieutenant in this episode. He has such a great voice and he looks so different than he did back when he did the games.
I bet they went off-script in the final scene… they probably had two cameras, so Pedro kept his position and tried to keep his voice. Even puts the hand on his nose (a thing a lot of actors do when they’re trying to stop laughing) And I’m so so glad they kept it rolling and it made into the Final Cut…

They tried to make it seem like just a necessity for survival, but Joel knows that is just avoiding the truth of what they had done and who they had become. It's the shit they did that Tess was talking about when she told him to take Ellie and set it all right.
This. People always give Joel the benefit of the doubt, even when he's saying point blank that he's not a wholly good person.
Then I look him up, and he’s in GoT (I don’t know him back then)
That was all very diverse characters.

Fun Fact: Bearded guy that was with Kathleen is played by Jeffrey Pierce. Pierce is the original voice actor for Tommy Miller (Joel’s brother)
Omg I thought his voice was so familiar!!!!!
i was just about to comment this, played the game over 10 times. I knew that was tommy's voice.
Should have just made him Tommy.
@@mggrant9360 I thought so too
His name is Perry according to the cast list
I like how Steve is taking Nikki's "Oh bitch" like that was her phrase and now Steve is using it lol.
I find Nikki and Steve’s Last Of Us reactions to be calming and comfortable to watch right before bad, helps me get to sleep and I mean that as a compliment
The “mom, mom, mom” part got me too and I’m not even a mom, shit is just sad
I know this is a year old, but it absolutely tore my heart out. I mean Im just hitting my late 20s but Brian just seemed like a kid following orders to me. It also humanized him, which made it worse.
The fact that people would be upset about Pedro being Joel is so funny to me, because he is a kickass actor. I would’ve been worried if it gone to a actor I thought wasn’t that good, but I was so happy when I heard it was him, because he kills it in everything he’s in.
Fun fact! I was reading that each episode has a budget of 10million! I just think that is crazy!!! And it has already been renewed for a new season!
I remember a long time ago when The Last of Us was being first discussed as a movie, Hugh Jackman was being thrown around as Joel and I thought (still do) think that he’d be a great Joe. But when I heard Pedro Pascal was playing him, I was sooooo excited! He’s done a great job
I want Joel to look at the map one time and say "this is the way"
That laugh at the end at the “serious question: did you know diarrhea is hereditary?
For Bella to do such a great American accent is so impressive to me.
THEY INCLUDED THE PUN BOOK ANF THE MAGAZINE SCENE🥰
This is how you know the makers of the show really paid attention to the game
The book of puns and Jeffrey Pierce: I don't know which is my more favorite cameo from the game.
"I can't pinpoint where i know him from..."
(screaming at my computer) "THE LAST OF US!!!" 😂😂 great reaction!
I loved this episode so much, all those scenes between Ellie and Joel especially that last scene was so wholesome 😂🥺
The way their relationship is, I wonder if it reminds him of his daughter. Their playful fussin' were just the same and deep down she brings him joy cause that diarrhea joke was hilarious 😂 made him smile again
Steven: “That dude looks familiar.” Me: It’s Tommy!!!
I just loved that he laughed
I'm going to be super bummed if this is the only episode to feature the pun book. By far my favourite banter between Ellie and Joel in the series so far.
I’m still waiting for Ellie or Joe to throw a bottle or a brick lol
Most likely it will make a comeback in the Left Behind episode
Noticed when she mentions he can't hear well out of his right ear, at the end when they are caught sleeping by the kids, he's laying on his left side, right ear up. Didn't hear them approach.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. HBO very rarely fails to deliver! Loving this show. Glad they've introduced those two as well.

Fun Fact : Kathleen’s right hand henchmen is being played by the same guy who voices Tommy in the video game
Out of all the reactors i watch you two put out these episodes faster than anyone thank you nikki and steven plus your editor always well done.
You should check out The Reel Rejects they have good reactions too. They have two guys that have played the games and then they have other reactors that have never played the game so you get two reactions from different sides. You should check them out.
That episode really had a TWD feel to it. Loved it.
they are doing a damn good job on keeping me on the edge of my seat, desperate for the next episode
The dude with the beard is the voice actor for Tommy in the game 😊
I had my doubts about the two lead actors when the show was announced - but man, they have blown it out of the water. I’m so impressed by this show!!
I'm suprised they added the magazine scene. Didn't it feel like she kinda forced it??? Like forced acting???
@@Tarhockey33 I will have to re-watch it tonight because to be honest, I was so happy to see it (it's one of my favorite scenes) that all I did was have a huge stupid grin on my face the whole time. But then again, I'm easily pleased, so...
@Toukie don't get me wrong I'm happily suprised they actually did that. It's just when I watch the game version compared to this...idk it felt a bit forced from the live version. I'm not trying to be hyper critical and not like it will make me not watch it, just....idk, something that I couldn't help but noticed if that makes sense
@@Tarhockey33 Nah I didn't see it? It was kinda just a 14-year-old screwing around as usual.
GOOD NEWS Episode 5 is coming out earlier this friday because Sunday it's Super Bowl Thanks America Send love from France
We can see the rewriting from the game Neil did an amazing job the way Joel cares about Ellie being a kid and Ellie's innocent face when he told her he was a bad guy makes the scenario more realistic 💔😢 Like the kid begging for his life screaming MOM MOM MOM I am probably a 26 years old man and I should be less sensitive with criminals but sorry I felt really bad for him
Being gay the scene when Ellie is reacting to gay porn magazines in the car was one of my favorite moment in the game so I am so glad they put this scene in the show haha 😂
Q: Why did the cowboy adopt a dachshund?
A: Because he heard someone say, 'Get a long, little doggy'. 🤣
It turns out that whatever apocalypse happens, we humans remain the greatest evil.
Nikki & Steven sure know how to make our day. More blessings to them.
Just so you know...the scenery is all Alberta, Canada. That is why it is beautiful! Look it up!
The character development in this one was terrific, I absolutely adored the scene with them laughing at the end, warmed my heart
Throughout the whole pun book and magazine scenes, she literally is a teenage embodiment of Nikki lol
The guy you couldn't place was Jeffrey Pierce. He did the voice, motion capture, and is the face of Tommy in the games.
Joel laughing with Ellie made me smile so wide, such a wholesome moment.
Him calling mom got to me too.
It's cool to see what they've done so far with KC. I remember notices going out around that time period when they were filming on location and they had certain sections blocked off. Super cool.
the man that you recognised is actually the actor who played Tommy in The Last of Us original game 17:18
20:29 The guy playing Perry did the performance capture for Tommy in the games, Jeffrey Pierce, he did an incredible job as Tommy.
Thanks for the heads-up about Ep 5 being re-scheduled to Friday!👍
You recognize that guy, Perry, because it’s the real Tommy from the game. Voice is a dead giveaway. Jeffrey Pierce. I love how every pun comes somewhere within the game if you got them to trigger. Also, pretty sure who Ellie killed b4. Was unsaid in the game but had to go down that way I’d think. Great video. You two are always a pleasure.
Great episode. Love how Joel is coming around on Ellie.
17:19 Jeffrey Pierce, the actor for Tommy in the game. His voice is so recognizable to me. Love to see him in this.
Steven's face, when Ellie was looking at the magazine in the backseat, is priceless. Him being a dad of little girls makes it even funnier.
20:25 Your answer to who the Grey Haired guy is… That’s Tommy from the Video Game Jeffrey Pierce. Glad you noticed I was wondering if you would 😅
I don't know why this episode had me so emotional. I just love seeing Joel and Ellie get closer. The laughing scene had me crying lol
That actress for Kathleen has the least intimidating voice I have ever heard.
The lady playing Kathleen also played a character in "yellow jackets".
The Chemistry between Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey is amazing, the jokes and the reactions playing of each other! Perfect Casting!!
Not perfect in terms of them looking nothing like the beloved characters from the game . Great actors though in the show
@@osojasmine8288 Idk about you but I'd much rather have actors who perfectly embody the characters vs just looking like them...
Nobody comes out with these quicker, thanks Steven.
Seeing Jeffrey Pierce really surprised me , he was the voice actor for Tommy in the game. So cool to see that!
It’s the little things that get ya 😂
And it was great seeing Jeffrey Pierce, Tommy from the games, as the lieutenant in this episode. He has such a great voice and he looks so different than he did back when he did the games.
Great sets, wonderful acting chemistry, respecting source material...man this show is AWESOME.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm loving Joel and Ellies bond in this show more than the game.
I bet they went off-script in the final scene… they probably had two cameras, so Pedro kept his position and tried to keep his voice. Even puts the hand on his nose (a thing a lot of actors do when they’re trying to stop laughing)
And I’m so so glad they kept it rolling and it made into the Final Cut…
Very good episode. Glad to see Melanie Lynskey (Kathleen). She is such an under-rated and great actress.
She’ll always be the nice step sister from Ever After so I can’t dislike her
The look on Steven's face at 5:45 says, "I'm gonna be hearing a lot of these over the next couple of days"
One thing I love about this series is the music. It all fits.
I’m sure someone mentioned it already, her lieutenant is the actor who voiced Tommy in the two games!
Another great episode. I just wished it was longer.
