Zombie Horde in Blender - Animations & Geometry Nodes

  • In this video, I have created a simple geometry node setup to assemble a large zombie horde scene. Hope you like it.
    All the zombie models and animations are from MIXAMO.
    Tunnel model is from sketchfab by "ARTFLETCH"

    Fantastic! I'm amazed at how well your machine holds up with all those characters. I know they're instanced, but wow. I'm looking forward to adapting this for stadium crowd sims as well as general people-populating needs (ala Anima). Thanks for the great tutorial!

    zombies scuffle, they don't run! Though, they are many and that is the creepy part!

    Is there a way to randomize the starting frame of the animation for each instance?

      Thanks.. I searched for free generic crowd and zombie sounds on net. modified and assembled those together in audacity..basic pitch change, equalization and grouping..

    Amazing video! question, can you export this to fbx file in unreal and have them running? i have altermesh plugin but i dunno how to keep them running, i tried export, but they are standing still in UE, want them in a sequence :)
