- I've been playing for so many years and never noticed that I held myself at a disadvantage because of my settings and how I hold my controller. I hope this helps someone!
Btw in the controller Layout, having sprint as L1/LB is a personal preference. you should be fine with it as A/X. Remember I'm trying to limit how often I remove my thumb from the right stick.

Yeah I really hope it works for you. I wish I learned earlier though because I recently switched to pc so I no longer play with controller but this really helped me play better

Thank you! Tbh I’ve never used a pro/ elite style controller unfortunately. If you are able to I’d say make sure you can guard break, cancel attacks, dodge, and move all with out removing your finger from your analog because it eliminates time to move are re-adjust your fingers. A edge controller sounds great for for honor

these settings are great the only thiing i changed was i kept my dodge on L1/LB because for me its more comfortable and i dont slip of the stick but maybe ill change it back who knows great video (subbed)
Yeah I did the same thing after making this video. I did make a video on that too. I switched to that because I was scared of stick drift happening fast.

I have my cancel on L1, so chat swapped to circle and dodges on L2 with lock on L3...I keep lock on so if I need to run I don't need to guard so X works fine for that just like other games.
If you have controller with paddle I also use M2 for zone attacks.
how do you target swap mid fight with lock on?

It's not a option. Assassins and some hybrids can't keep thier guards up.

Guard break as joystick is op, alot of buttons are good as joystick. They need to change these controllers for a more comfortable play

Try it but don’t set dodge to the analog click. Set L1 to dodge.

I don't think so. It took me like a total of 4 to 5 hrs of play time to be adjusted.
I’ve got basically the same settings. That’s crazy. Only difference is that I bound dodge to L1 and Guardbreak to R3. Everything else is similar.
It literally changed everything for me. I was like why have I never thought of this before lol

Don’t 😂. This is no longer my recommendation. I use L1 as dodge. You could try that and L2 as guard break. I still have guard break as square
How’re you parrying or blocking with only the left stick?
The left stick is for character movement. I use my right stick to block different sides. To parry it’s a combination of buttons. My heavy attack button (R2) and right stick
The other stick isn’t a requirement to parry

I have an updated config that is better. This one is going to cause stick drift to happen quickly. I use L1/ RB as dash. Aim to make sure you basically never have to remove your fingers from the analog to complete a important move like gairdbreak, dash, or aim

Yeah definitely will speed up that wear and tear but I have an updated video that was made after this one. I no longer use these settings

Do the corresponding adjustments. Like r2 on playstion will be rt on Xbox. A on Xbox will be X on playstation.
