For Honor is the only game to very often make me rage quit but somehow always bring me back to it 😂 it’s quite the conundrum, For Honor makes me question my psychology haha
@Cameron Matelski 100% true. Even the little things like when people just stand there in front of you waiting for you to attack. Especially when a BP of Shugo or Law just slowly walk towards you throughout your fight. It’s actually intimidating lol
My issue is that I will notice the patterns mid-way through the fight but I don’t know how to stop it. It’s just about learning the other characters for me and what they can do.
@@LokiOakenshield yeah learning movesets can help but I struggle countering then for example raiders heavies since he can soft feint into a top light or gb making me have to randomly guess or panic alot
After the ccu update made things go downhill I try to learn whatever I can to get better at the game (because I'm hot garbage) so these tips are helpful 👍
Nice video. Its pretty naïve to think that everyone can parry lights on reaction consistently with practice. Its a pretty tight window for a choice reaction. There are limits to training.
Yeeeah some people just don’t have the right reactions or connections to do it consistently. But, if you’re playing for honor and can handle the icon spam in dominion, you can probably do it. Emphasis on probably
Yeah, they’re pretty solid, and they’re a good warmup. It forces you to use a lot of mixups since they react based on your inputs. They’re definitely a good way to get prepped for pvp
I didn’t know that you could dodge out of light chains. Maybe it’s because of the extra input & input lag but sometimes for me it’s easier to just dodge rather than dodge attack or bash to escape the chain. But I went into training with this knowledge and I finally know how to avoid Highlander’s ridiculous speed of light attack chains! You can even dodge the heavy finisher. I’m on last gen console. Highlander is an absolutely ridiculous character since the CCU, there is very little skill involved in playing him when his attacks are unreachable for players. But now I know I can dodge and since many highlanders stop the chain with the light (so they can just light spam) I will have frame advantage and can counter attack. And he if goes for the heavy finisher, he’s still opened up to counter it seems, unless that was just the bot with the one command. Thank you!!!
Lights being different color would be dope. Still u would need to 'read' cuz u cant parry them all the time. I am sayin just becouse there are borken animations and lights.
That’s difficult as there is no way in training as far as I know to set an attack to come from a certain side, only thing I can think of is setting a character to do a specific move that happens to come from that side, like a zone attack or something like that
the playerbase sucks, when i play against bots its fine however when i play multiplayer i try to run away but i get gangbanged by 3 players. When i start fighting a player i begin to win and then his friend comes along or he runs away. i try to move over to my teammates and then i have 2 enemies fucking me from the behind. the multiplayer fucking sucks
😂 I'm new to this game less than 20 hrs played less than 3 hrs in multiplayer, I main Warden, I'll train a bit before every match but forget everything and go for crushing counter everytime even if I do it I'll just stand there 😂😂 in 1v1s in wyverndale dominion tho 😂😂 I'll be the demolitions expert, Fiat lux, Pugnor mortis and catapult 😂😂

Yeah I get that, it’s definitely a lot more difficult on console. I was fortunate enough to be born with faster than average reaction times so that definitely helps. I’m glad at least some of the other tips were helpful lol

When you notice the patterns also notice what you are doing that is getting you caught up
Knowing and learning a heros moveset can help u alot in fights
Yeah I find the best way to learn how to counter a hero is to play that hero to rep 1 and all will be answered

Late bloomer here, I agree especially some heroes are impossible to counter unless you know how they work
My problem is reading moves. I’m too focused on offense that my reading is fucked. I’m also on Xbox one so rip.
Gryphon never has to stop attacking and when u do its a dodge attack which u only get a light for parrying.

it's like impossible to block a light attack on controler even on lvl one bots it's impossible
On console it can be difficult, and input lag from controllers and the TV can largely affect one’s ability to react too
