    I see a few people here complaining that you don't use crochet terminology, but honestly that helps someone like me (ADHD) I don't know how many times I've been watching a tutorial, got distracted, and then had to rewind to figure out how it's being done because I forgot. Plus your fast talking is just the right speed for me! I can't wait to get started!

    Ok
    First I want to thank you for just making it so simple for people that do not know names of stitches as my sister that has a really hard time with that. I love to crochet and I always look for new ideas and yours was so easy I made a beautiful beanie in no time with your tutorial
    Awesome job
    Thank you so much for sharing
    Gracias 🙏🏻

    What a gorgeous hat. I just finished mine and I love it. I understand some of the concerns regarding repetition or lack of crochet terminology. However I’m a visual learner and I just listened for the count and then turned volume down. This technique works when I watch non English or non speaking tutorials. Besides, your camera work is EXCELLENT !!! Thanks for sharing your talent you are a great teacher.

    I instructions are very simple and easy to understand. I follow you and make this hat. I used a blue color. It took me 3 days to complete. And this is because I have to work during the day. This is my first time doing crochet. And i am proud of myself thanks to you. Keep up the good job.🤗

    I subscribed to your channel for nails and have gotten some excellent tips and creative fashions. BUT now I am just amazed at your abilities in crochet. I am not good, but have been trying, I started knitting last year and have not been happy w/ what things I've made - they have been ho-hum. I knitted my mom a boring looking scarf for xmas last year. Well this year I am making THIS incredible beret and the scarf for her for Christmas, and I KNOW she will love it. I've never crocheted anything b4, I have never been able to even follow the instructions. This weekend - Following your instruction I made this beret in green and I LOVE IT. You did a good job showing what to do and verbally explaining everything. It was like you were walking me through it, personally. I HONESTLY LOVE IT!!! I will definitely wear it this winter, and it only took me like ~10 hours, 3/4ths a $3 skein of yarn. I can't believe it, I'm excited to do a test run of the scarf next weekend. THANK-YOU. THANK-YOU. THANK-YOU!!

    • @cozettewendemu7007
      @cozettewendemu7007 3 роки тому

      @@christyobioha4574 so sorry for the late response. It took me two days per hat (inner part day one and outer part day two. However I’m retired so I have more time. If I was working it would take three days per hat.
      If you are a fast crocheter, you could feasibly make 1-2 hats per day, however I just take my time. Mostly because I’m simultaneously working on other projects as well🤣. Hope this helps.

    I had to improvise with the last row. I did five rows of single crochets so it would look more like a beret. I don't know why it did not look like a beret with your instructions but now it is absolutely perfect! I really like how you show all of your moves but I think to use some crochet terminology would be even more helpful. Examples of that would be half double crochet, single crochet, slip stitch, yarn over, etc. Also when you are starting a new stitch such as the decrease go really slow at first and use the term loop or loops for what is on the hook. I look forward to more of your videos. Thanks for the close up of your hands and great explained details.

    • @ItzTheKatzMeow
      @ItzTheKatzMeow 3 роки тому

      I had the same issue. I'm not a beginner crocheter, but my hat came out huge like a pancake. I haven't finished it yet I have a row and a half to finish. There is no way this hat will fit my head. I will also have to add more rows and do some more decreases. It would have been nice in the beginning to know the actual counts in the first few rows to make sure we had our counts right. It would have been nice if your referred to the HDC as such. Also zooming out occasionally would have been helpful to compare our progress with.

    I wish I could've seen the whole barrette as you work so I could see the hat as you go. It was too zoomed in. Also I feel like you didn't have to describe how to do a hdc every time you made an hdc.

    Like, I appreciate the tutorial and all since it looks like a good finished product, but it’s honestly not helpful to have every single instance of a hdc described, yet how MANY hdc per stitch is blown past rapidly without ever stating what the overall pattern is. Like it would have been WAY more helpful to have more time spent on what the pattern was for each row, and less on repeating how to do a hdc every time. I honestly feel lost just watching the video, forget trying to start the project. There’s a lot of steps that feel like they’re just being glossed over 😕

    love this hat...however I am struggling to follow along. But then again I am very precise (meaning adhd) and need to know how many stitches will be in each row. After ten the next should be 20 right? and then double again should be 40 but I am not coming up with that.Because you don't slip stitch in each row I feel like the numbers will not be what I think they should be. darn my adhd lol. anyway I love the way you crochet!!

    Your nails have gotten pretty long. How has your weight loss journey been going? Hope to start on the scarf soon.

      I'm still working on my weight loss, I got sick & couldn't workout for close to a month so I kinda slowed down a little but I'm still working on it. I'll make a weight loss update as soon as I loose a little more :) Have fun crocheting your scarf.

    Hat is beautiful but confusing. You are not telling stitc count you are suppose to have on each row.
