Thank you so much for sharing! For some reason I tried to do it with the pattern but can't make it, but with your instructions, it's perfect! Thank you!

Thank you for another great video! On my beret, I skipped adding elastic since it was tight enough as it and it looks great!

i just had to donate a couple bucks. I had been working on a vest for more than a month. Finishing my new creation just in time to wear it to a Christmas party, I quickly needed a matching hat. This pattern was perfect. Yolonda does a great job explaining. I had a matching hat in no time- in a morning's time to be honest. thank you.

Yolanda, I love your tutorials! I'm relatively new to crocheting and I find your tutorials so easy and fun to follow along with. I also think it's so wonderful how you collect donations for the less fortunate in Mexico. THANK YOU! :)

Yolanda, Thank you for the tutorial on the beret. I have crocheted for a long time but only simple afghans. I am now trying to branch out to make things I thought I never could do. I made my beret and am so happy with it. It was so easy. Thank you

I love this beret. I thought the instructions were very good and easy to follow. This is my new favorite beret pattern. If you like the slouchy look, just wear it further on your head. I made one for me and one for my daughter, and they both look great.
Thank you very much for the terrific tutorial!

Thank you! This was super easy and was able to start and finish the same day. Most patterns in the round come out too wavy and I love this one. It goes well with the Crochet Granny Triangle Infinity scarves I make. If you repeat the decrease rounds, you can avoid using elastic or a drawstring to get to the right circumference and can make the hat band in fewer rows to avoid the bulk created when you fold it over.

Yolanda, I just finished and my daughter loves it! The good thing about having the pattern too is I didn't know how to read a pattern and I would listen and watch you then go to the pattern and read it. So I am learning so much and I love it! Thank you Yolanda, you are truly gifted.

Oh! Yolanda your video tutorials are awesome! I can't seem to follow a written pattern but when you have the written pattern on the screen while you are crocheting really helps me learn to follow written pattern. Thank you Yolanda! Please continue to put the written pattern on the screen as well.

Hi Yolanda! I followed along with your instructions and made this beret! Working the brim, I did decreases to make it fit my head instead of using the elastic technique. I also added a little fur along the top edge of the brim to match a fur vest that I intend to wear it with. So cute! Love your tutorials! Very well explained and demonstrated. Thank you so much for your tutorials!

Brilliant tutorial! Thank you Yolanda. I made this Beret today in between cooking dinner and other chores!
I'm new to crochet and I'm dead proud of my new hat. I downloaded the pattern from Redheart and it was mostly self explainatory but I was grateful for your help and I followed you while working.
I live in the UK but I find the US terminology far easier to grasp! Therefore I have downloaded some more patterns, one is the Romantic lacy shawl that you give a tutorial on the website for. I cant wait to get started so I can give my baby sister a handmade gift for her birthday at the end of this month. We're both in our forties and at our age ideas for presents get harder every year, but not this year, All thanks to you! God bless. Tricia

Thank you, I just started back at crocheting, after years ... the hat is lovely, I did it in a soft purple with silver running through it... instead of adding elastic I kept decreasing around till round 18.. thanks agian

Hiya Yolanda, I just finished my beret, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.... I did a few things different however. When decreasing, I did two rows of the 7 single crochet with the decrease, then I did the rest of my rows doing 5 single crochets with the decrease. I also didnt fold the band over I left it as is then I added a Fleur de lies on the front of the band. It FITS PERFECT !!!!! This was fun and easy to make. I did mine in Mardi Gras colours to wear to the parade, I also did a matching scarf I can't wait to wear them. Thank so much for this video. I just LOVE it. I plan on making one for my best friend. Be Blessed and keep the videos coming.

YESSSSS!!! Finally, after starting over about eight times (I wasn't a very "quick-study" on this one :-) ), I got it!!! Last night the beret was finished. I love the pattern and am going to try to improvise (God, help me please!) by making the beret fuller in the body of it. (That's going to require some math. UGH!)
I love Yolanda's kind demeanor, voice, her personality, humor, and her patience!
    GREAT VIDEO YOLANDA!!!
Yolanda, I can relate to barking dog(s)! My Schnauzer barks every single time a leaf drops! LOL!!! BOW WOW!!!

I just came across your video. It is exactly what I have been looking for to celebrate my Auntie's 90th birthday this 24th of March. She wears hats often and I really think she would look beautiful in this hat. I am taking your suggestion and making it in a nice cotton, if I can find something beautiful to complement the pattern. Thank you for the blessing of God. I thank God for you. I am subscribed and I have clicked the bell so that I can receive any and all of your videos. Have an excellent day.

I didn't have to use elastic as it fit her beautifully, just left it unfolded... The result was completely satisfying.... Thank you once again...

My girl friend made this hat for her i loved so i ask her for the video. I have use your videos for other projects. I made 1 hat and I am making a second one for a gift. It look like yours I decide to sewing in cause i could not do it the way you show came out great. For those that said they can not follow i suggest that they watch the videos first before they start any projects that is what i always do so i get an idea then so when I'm doing it i stop the video until the next step I'm not new at crochet but im a slow crocheting person cause i have carper tunnel. Thanks for your videos! Y gracias por hacerlos en español tambien!

I read a comment somewhere else about this. The Red Heart Soft yarn didnt used to be quite as bulky when the pattern was written, it was more the regular weight of Red Heart. Thus making a persons hat larger if using the pattern with the new yarn.

I made this hat it was very easy. I changed it up by adding 2 rows of decreasing in the brim. That made it fit my head just perfect. Is it necessary to fold the brim in half and sew or slip stitch? I like it with the flat brim.
I also loved when your dogs barked at the mailman, my dogs barked to and ran to the front door. Thanks again
