A friend of mine lived in the US for many years. One time he fell into a conversation with a guy in a bar and they talked.
After a while the guy says "You know, you speak pretty good English, for a foreigner, where are you from?"
And my friend said "Well..... England!"

Native speakers say some things differently, but that doesn't make it wrong. Regional differences and all.
I am Austrian, yet I am sure you would find some things to "correct" in my use of German if you go by the book. I wonder if you use your own language "correctly" according to Duden et. al.

Once a american asked me where i was from, i responded:
"I'm from Brazil"
he asked: "where is it?"

I want to see them do one where they ask people where Rhode Island is on a map of the world. The confusion I’ve been met with when I say I’m from Rhode Island is unbelievable. Depends on the state you are from. The state governments give a list what public schools have to teach in each grade. For me, American and Canadian Geography was taught in 4th grade. In 6th grade the whole year focused on World Geography for Social Studies. But in all honesty, these videos are why Private Education is becoming more popular.
