    Common Questions Answered:
    1. The fabric is actually white on the back side. I did not add interfacing or anything.
    2. The seam guide comes with the machine. It is not available for separate purchase.

Anita, you have the most soothing and clear voice when you are instructing. I wish all American ladies had that quality. I LOVE your style of teaching. You talk your viewers through EVERY step of the way. No wasted time with dumb music fill ins and fast forwarding the video. Even when you are actually serging on the machine, you talk your viewers through it all. Thank you Anita, for being SO CONSIDERATE and THOUGHTFUL with teaching everyone as if we were your family member! You really maximize your teachings. I love you so much for this! Wished that I can hug you! You were gifted to teach....I feel that this was your calling in life. We are such beneficiaries of your gift. Thank you so much for your time to always teach us.

This is by far one of THE BEST TUTORIALS I have ever watched. It is SIMPLE, CLEAR, COMPLETE with great explanations for "WHY?", which is so helpful to those of us who need to know, in order to clearly understand. The length of the video is perfect and doesn't contain lots of EXTRA talk, information that can sometimes confuse a newbie to the serger. I will watch EVERY sewing tutorial you make, now! Thank you for explaining the process so clearly with great imagery to show how things work and should look. FANTASTIC TUTORIAL!! Thank you so very much!

What I appreciated so much about this video was that you used a fabric with a very contrasting color between the Right Side and the Wrong side.
I’m a beginner and have recently taken three 3 sewing classes at my local community college’s continuing education department for a 4 class certification, each a semester long, and none of the teachers would use such a fabric that made it very clear what the Right Side, the Wrong Side, the Back, and the Front were as they were demonstrating their sewing when teaching how to make a knit t-shirt, dress shirt, and a pair of dress trousers.
I’m dumbfounded that they didn’t, ‘cause that simple consideration would have made the classes so much easier.
    Thank you!

Some people say you shouldn't stretch the fabric when you sew the sleeve in , and other people say you should , it's kinda confusing. The sleeve is the only part I have trouble with. But this was one of the clearest explanations i have seen so far , so i'm going to try again.

I love this Serger Lesson! I think most of us have a fair idea of how to assemble and sew a bodice and sleeves,
    and neckband.
You my dear, are giving me the confidence to learn to do all these things on a Serger because
you beautifully and clearly show us how, to handle the fabric with this beast! ie Stop right before the hump
and do a little magic. Stretch elastic just that much before sewing. Making sure that hemlines will be flush
with the cutter/guild. A lot of scary stuff.
Whew! You certainly took the fear out of handling this Filly!
    Thank you

I learned several years ago that when you have a serged join and you need to fold in half as you are doing with the neckband.snip half way along and half way through the serged stitch, then fold one part one way and the other half the other way, they then lay flatter.

Excellent instructions! Just finished making this T-shirt from the pattern you recommended in a medium weight interlock knit. It fits perfectly and looks professionally made. Sewed all the seams on the serger and used a very narrow zig zag stitch on the hems with my sewing machine. This is my first project on the serger since acquiring it, and the first time making clothing in 30+ years. Now, I'm looking forward to viewing your other sewing videos. Thanks again for the very detailed and precise instructions.

Awesome! Congratulations on sewing your first garment on the serger. That has to be a great feeling, especially when you get a perfect fit. YES! Have fun sewing your next serger project.

This I think, is by far the best tutorial I've ever watched. Your instructions are very calm and clear and you make it look so easy. As others have commented, I appreciate that I didn't have to struggle to hear and understand you through a bunch of background music. I have a t-shirt that I started 10 years ago when I bought my serger. I gave up on it but kept it in that "someday I'll finish it" pile. Today I found this tutorial of yours and am kind of excited to try the techniques you taught and actually finish that shirt! Thank you!

I just found you on my TV. You are so positive and refreshing. I love to sew myself. It's wonderful to find someone who has a passion and love's their passion and not afraid to show it. I'm just started watching your t-shirt video. I'm not a big serger fan but I do understand how to use one. And there's no substitute for a serger and stretch fabrics!!
