Growing up my Mom’s clothes always had matching belts & she always looked so beautiful and put together. I love that you’re sharing how to make our own! Thank so much for sharing your knowledge with us.
Some people are just born to teach and you're one of them! I followed your video step by step and sure enough...perfect belt on the first run. I always get it right when you're doing the teaching. TY Anita :)
I love this tutorial. You explain every detail which is so needed with the beginning sewer and even some of us that have been sewing. The detail is great thank you very much.
I so enjoyed watching and learning how to make a belt!!! Your tutorials are GREAT! My favorite part was the thread chain.....what a genius technique! Thank you!
You're very welcome. I love the thread chain too. Don't know why I didn't think of that when I made my other belts. I'm certainly going back to add the chains to the other belts. 🤗
You are very welcome. I'm always thinking about newbies when creating the tutorials. Thank you for your feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial.
Dear Anita, until now I made some belts only with fashion fabic and iron-on fleece. But with the faux lether at the back --- what a very great idea! It looks so much more professional. Thank you so much for sharing and showing. God bless you.
Thank you, Anita! You are a wonderful instructor. I learned several techniques to make a belt much better. You're going to pull me off of my grandbees' college quilts and get me back on garments. I truly appreciate the gifts of your expertise and time shared with us. ~Cornelia
This was a very well done tutorial...I've been looking at buckles all day and wondering how I would attach them to my clothing. Thanks for this - it was so helpful!
😂 I can tell you most of them . She should be using the Babylock SOPRANO sewing machine , she’s got a beautiful Babylock EUPHORIA Coverstitch machine which is awesome for knits and I forget the name of the babylock serger she is using haha. I Know this because she inspired ME to make the investment in the 2 machines that I named and I picked up the acclaim serger, a little different from Anita’s. She’s a wonderful inspiring teacher and motivator.
Thank you. I have a new sewing machine. I’m using the Baby Lock Chorus in this tutorial. I also use the Baby Lock Soprano. Here’s a link to my Ambassador page if you’d like details on all the machines I use. babylock.com/affiliate/anita-morris
Hi Anita nice to see this pop up. Don't know how I lost contact. Its been busy since you change you email list over. Didn't even realize they haven't popped up all this time. Glad to reconnect.
I'm a bit confused about the fold over on the pattern paper then you cut it away on the material after measuring 🙆everything was going wonderfully until you did that.

@@AnitabyDesign thanks a lot ❤️ it means a lot I'll definitely get this machine ❤️
If you're using a fashion fabric for both sides, do you need to keep the back the same width and press inward to stop fraying? Thanks :)
I would definitely press inward for a clean edge.

Curious....why should the belt pattern be placed parallel to the selvage?
For the least amount of stretch
@@AnitabyDesign Gotcha, thanks 😊

I explained why I was cutting away the fold over on the backing fabric only. Please watch that part again.
