- With this video I try to explain feelings that I never quite can put in to words. Around this time year after year for a while now, I find myself still a party of one and as time went by I have understood more and more why.
For a while I could not understand why it seemed easy for others to find someone but as I grew older and acquired more knowledge I finally understood why it seemed so hard to find a connection to somebody.
I am Demisexual. A person who can only date someone who has formed an intricate deep romantic connection with.
Finally after a long time, the waiting makes sense. The search makes sense. Because I'm not looking for just anyone and that makes the waiting longer and a bit harder, but it does make it more worth it in some ways.
So this video is for others, Demisexual or not, who are still searching, who are still waiting. Don't be discourage and love yourself so one day you can love someone else.

It's an awesome way of telling others, that being alone doesn't mean being lonely, and that we don't have to just run circles looking for someone we would love and that would love us. Your work is amazing
One can be happy though alone while one can feel lonely in crowds.

Tbh, thank you. Bc around Valentine's and anytime I see a couple so happy I have never been able to convey or understand my feelings exactly. This video helped me understand that a bit more. That the wait and search will be worth it and in the mean time I love myself while my heart still searches.

Btw, I can relate to this situation, even if I am not single anymore, since 3 years.
I had a terrible relationship before this one, and when we broke up it was a relief. A totally preferred my time as single than my time in that situation. I felt so free and I learnt to appreciate myself again.

I am astonished.. this video oddly is filled with so much value. And I couldnt shake the feelings of butterflies in my stomach while watching this, this really sent shivers down my spine. Even more, as I read the description, I could seriously relate to it, I cant even be in a relationship that isnt an intricate relationship. Srsly, you have opened my eyes, I never knew that this was a real thing, now i feel like even more accepting to me being a demisexual :^)
im a genderfluid pansexual. i may feel one way at times and look at people and think they all look cute but i cant feel romance so easily. maybe because of past trauma i am this way, i am demiromantic! This touches on my feelings, I'm not demi-sexual... just really burned out on the dating scene and simply want to make a good connection before anything romantic happens, tired of putting my heart out there only to have it stomped because I have a line I don't lower myself under despite putting my all my effort into the person I'm with.
My last romance ended because I wasn't so emotional that anything would cause me to break down. We're still friends but I can't handle being screamed at because I don't cry at falling leaves... and she doesn't put that expectation on friends.
When I saw this video, it really spoke to me, and the reason why, I found I am also a demisexual. So your animation I can relate completely. Nice job

This is fantastic! I really love the colorful dream part, it's amazing! Also this is something I struggled with a lot for years, until I realised I'm asexual, so I really felt that. It's a bit easier to understand why it is how it is now, but dating world is still scary and hard.

This is a truly spectacular video where it teaches us on how we're not so pitiful when it comes to a relationship with someone. I know this might be a comment way to long to read or it might be irrelevant to this amazing masterpiece, but please if there's anyone who cares enough to even try to read to the end of this I'm only asking for it to be read. I'm not asking for this to receive a like or to be commented on, my only wish is for someone to read this and to listen what I have to say about relationships with someone who's already in love with someone else and how hard it feels to forget that person. Even harder to move along in life when we encounter that person who loves someone else and it feels like a thorn stabbing your heart. I'm one of those people who has a difficult time getting to know someone because years of loneliness and it can be pretty hard for me to know someone new and I blame myself for being so apathetic in friend making. I love your videos DFG because they give us a message on the human aspect of desire and friendship and if it's not to much to ask, some day when the time is right I would like to meet you in person. I too have a dream in becoming a animator myself and it would be a dream come true to meet a UA-camr and to just get to know each other as real people, not just fan and UA-camr but person to person. It was good just like I expected
I wish the absolute best of luck to you. Despite having a boyfriend for both this Valentine's and last, I've spent it alone. We're long distance and sad we've had to spend 2 in a row apart. I know you will find someone for sure. After I got rejection after rejection after rejection (I literally asked out/admitted my feelings to like 50 people before my bf, EVERY SINGLE ONE rejected me.) I stopped. I stopped asking. I gave up. About 6 months before I met him, I gave up on relationships for a while. Then I met him by accident. After talking for quite a long time, Admitted my feelings yet again waiting for rejection. But no. He returned them. And now a year and over 2 months later we're still together and have even met up irl too. He plans on moving near my by the end of april. I'm excited. It's when I wasn't looking I found love. I know it sounds weird, but that's also how my mom met my dad. When she wasn'tooking for a relationship. So I know it sounds weird, but I think it usually happens when you're not looking. Because then the universe is like "hey, let me give you a treat now." It might sounds weird but I think there's some truth to that too. All I can say is I hope you find someone that's the right time for you, and they treat you right and love you unconditionally. Because you more than deserve it, girl!
