I kinda just realized the symbolism of their animal features. A songbird for George, a creature both representative of music and never-ending optimism, a bunny for Brenda to represent both her involvement in show business and her ability to bounce back, and a wolf for Dave both as a representation of the character he created and his perseverance against all odds and his loyalty to his dream. Damn. Small details really go deep.

I know this is a cartoon music video on UA-cam, but two years ago this song helped me deal with the loss of my own Grandfather. The main area it helped with was accepting grieving as a part of the process. I know this is just a song, but thank you. It helped during those first hard times

Here is my take on the advice the Ghosts gave Kel:
Brenda - No matter what, do not give up on what makes you happy, even when it seems impossible.
Dave - People will always put you down, and you can’t let that hold you for accomplishing incredible things.
George - Even when times are rough, still remember the times with the people you love, even when they aren’t with you anymore.

I was rewatching again and just wanted to talk about at small detail at 2:24 that I’ve heard no one talk about. In that scene, there is a hummingbird in the window, and a rabbit stuffed animal in the chair, The fact there is no wolf shows that Dave is the grandfather, it’s a great detail!

I personally love how even with the crazy fast tempo, the song is longer than 4 minutes, AND doesn't feel long in the process
I think the meaning behind the line “But don’t be here to stay” is the ghosts telling Kel that she can get help from them for now, but she can’t stay with them forever. Eventually, she’s gonna have to go on with life using the help that the ghosts provided to her to successfully live.

First of all, I don't think that they would make something that dark.
Seocnd of all, the ghosts are obviously here to help her move on from her lose and get along with the people around her or find new people.
And finally, the line "don't be here to stay", like you said, is the ghosts telling her that she can't or at the very least shouldn't stay here. Like get rid of that mindset. Let go. Same for the scenes where she's drowning, I personally thinks that that's supposed to represent the feeling of "drowning" in your own emotions. You know how some people even describe depression as a flood building up in their heads? Yeah that.

@@inluvwjacky I think the underwater bit wasn’t her actually drowning, I think it was symbolic for drowning in your own depression, anxiety, and emotions. They’re here to save her from her troubles and then send her off to enjoy a successful life.

I remember when I listened to this I wasn’t in a great place mentally. It’s getting better, but I remember listening to this crying on the bus thinking, “if I’m gonna have a mental breakdown better do it in style.” and I started moving my head and tapping my foot. I hit replay until I made it to my stop. The tears ended and I had a smile on my face when I walked home. Now Im doing better and it’s still a bop.

Ok this song was deep as shit... I've had sucidal tendencies since I was 11 dealing with me being a child sexual assault victim, I wish I found this song sooner ( I found it from the warrior cat m.a.p about ivypool 1930s style) the song is beautiful, animation on both this video and the other one I mentioned are STELLAR. just flat out amazing. Clover is beautiful.As the trailer says, Kel suffers from depression. My theory is that the Kel is in a coma or unconscious for any reason and is kinda Dimension dreaming. If you do not know what that is, it is dreaming while feeling stuff.The ghosts are mental helpers to her and teach her lifelong lessons that will help her a lot. Clover is a beautiful thing. We truly need more things like this. Thank you Or3o and everyone else who made this happen.
The main theory a lot of people think is that the ghosts are her ancestors. Dave and Brenda are her great grandparents, and Dave, who is also the man seen in the hospital, is her grandpa. Other comments probably go into more detail. You might be right about the dreaming thing

I've heard to this song so much from the past and now I am hearing it again and it really makes me feel so much better. I've been diagnosed with Depression, with my brother having Cancer and many of my loved ones passing away. Thank you is all I can say.

I remember watching this a few years ago when my depression started and this helped me cope an now my depression is back and worse I go back to my favorite series an this popped up on my fyp and I love it because I really relate to the little girl

They are guiding her and I've been struggling with suicide and I've seen someone when I almost died and I remember waking up in my bed crying and I'm so happy I'm alive

Plot twist: the ghosts are part of kel's family, but she was born after they died, and once she started struggling in life, her dead part of the family "woke from the dead" and started to help so she could live longer than them, if you know what i mean

What I’m getting from this is that kel is in a coma from jumping off the bridge and ghost are trying to get her awake. The “don’t stay here for long” part is them saying that if she does she’ll die. Her parents are abusive and she has bullies at school. The aunt and uncle or grandma and grandpa are nice to her, but the uncle/grandpa passes away and that’s the reason she jumped off the bridge.

Drowning is another way of saying your in deep depression, so her "fathers" death really took a toll on her, creating this mess of trying to find peace.
