Fun fact: The Breaking Bad Season 4 finale episode Face Off; where Gus dies; was written in a way that could’ve made it a series finale since the show hadn’t been renewed yet
Another fun fact: Pinkman was supposed to die at the end of Season 1, but thanks to the Writer's Strike of 2007, the season was cut short and Aaron Paul got to see his character to the very end and thank goodness he did.
To be honest, I think Ned Stark's execution at the end of season 1 was the most important plot twist of the series. As it would become the seed that would grow into other Game of Thrones plot twists. Including the red wedding itself.
Never read the books and I started watching GOT after the final season premiered and the Ned stark execution scene made me miss 3 days of work. I couldn't turn it off.
Agree. I remember watching for the first time wondering how he was going to be saved at the very last second in typical TV fashion. Was shocked that the "main character" died in the first season like that. Made the rest of the deaths in the show just a little less shocking (though Hodor's death did come with that awesome backstory I never saw coming). Wish they could have kept up with the great edge of your seat stuff until the end of the series...
Jon Snow being a Targaryen was if you read the books and have been waiting for years for the show to catch up and pass the books. That and Jon coming back to life cuz in the books, he's still dead
Lost will forever be that show which started the cultural phenomenon of someone at work/in class asking "dude, did you see the last episode?" and everyone joining the convo.

I actually met Hodor’s actor Kristian Nairn at Motor City Comic Con a few years ago, and he told me when he found out the etymology of Hodor’s name, he said it hit him like a train. Hodor’s death hit him even more according to him
Haunting of Hill House definitely deserved to be here. Honestly should have been ranked in the top ten.. several big twists, and one in particular regarding one of the ghosts that totally blew my mind. Fantastically done show in general

I jumped up and screamed when I first saw this. It was so well hid in plain sight. I remember the creators telling fans that the episode "The Rattlesnake in the Mailbox" will be exactly that. They telegraphed there would be a shocking twist and it was still unbelievable.
The LOST twist is still up there as one of the best twists ever in a TV show. Like my teenage brain could not process what was happening when Kate hopped out of the car during that scene. The Good Place is the only other show that blew my mind with it's twist.
Nothing will ever beat the plot twist in LOST - it was just absolutely phenomenal! Plus it was positioned in the exact middle of the series, just like a mirror with one side to past and one to future. Perfection!
Unfortunately at this point it's been long enough ago, and so talked about, it will end up losing it's gravity. Kind of like the twist to "The Sixth Sense". Not a ton of people can say they went into that movie on it's premiere without a clue of what the movie would do. Now it's all over the internet and the effect will be lost. It's basically a trope at this point. Even the AHS twist was essentially the same. But as somebody who DID see it on it's premiere it's still the most shocking twist I've ever experienced in film or tv.
Hey Watch Mojo, I have a minor suggestion as a fan. For lists like these, since they include spoilers, before you talk about the event, it would be great to mention the show it's from first. That way, if it's a series someone is currently watching, they can fast forward so as not to have it spoiled for them and watch the others that they've seen or don't plan on seeing.
The timeline was the better moment. But there were enough hints during the season to show its hand before the big moment(I noticed them all after watching the season a second time). The Bernard one was all in one scene and had the impact all at once.
The George O'Malley got me good, I ended up crying, I was so shocked. Voilet being a ghost was a shock. That Scrubs episode broke my heart, and still does. Black Mirror, holy moly.
Nina's turn was my first experience of a plot twist, so even though I've seen a lot of the shows on the list and was mind blown from time to time.... It's still holds up as the best for me
The kind of sad thing about the _Alias_ twist is that after slowly filling in the gaps about Sydney's missing time, they just info dumped everything halfway into the season and that whole plot thread was just never brought up again.
24 is the intense show with full action and suprise moment and somehow still make people stick with it (even Breaking bad and GOT still feel boring some moment after watching 24), glad to see it get the recognition it deserves at the second place.
One of the best feelings for ASOIF fans was watching show fans get super invested in Robb Stark being the King in the North. I had that "I know a secret" smile on my face for a few weeks lol.
I loved Lost when I first watched it on Netflix a few years ago. It was my dad’s favorite show when it was on tv. I wish I could rewatch the series. Even now, I’m still bummed when I think about my favorite characters that died, especially early in the series.
There's one missing that REALLY exploded my mind: the moment when Doctor House "Lost His Marbles" on Season 5 Episode 24 ("Both Sides Now"). When He kept the vicodin's box from his pocket my world just failled apart. So shocking and out of the blue... unforgettable until today.
The House episodes that really got me were the 2 part: ‘House’s Head’ and ‘Wilson’s Heart’, and the episode ‘Fall From Grace’ where the team treats a homeless man with burns who turns out to be someone they never could have imagined. And they find out only after the patient leaves the hospital.
There are so many plot twists that deserved to be in this list: Stranger things revealing the upside down world, Manifest showing that man dying drowned in the middle of times square and the walking dead`s border of 10 heads that Alpha made to mark her territory.
I was so convinced that Agents of SHIELD was going to get kicked off of the plot twist list since everyone loves to overlook the show with more "popular" ones, but not only did you guys keep it at #9 but you UPGRADED it with the Fitz reveal (which, I agree, was totally devastating)?? Y'all are real MVPs here. Thanks for giving Agents of SHIELD the recognition it deserves!
The "Nina being evil" from 24 was shocking, and at the time, I remember having so much hatered for a what is essentially a fictional character, but that was nowhere near as shocking as finding out the president himself was the villain in seasons 4-5!
Absolutely right. I actually had problems with the character of Charles Logan and was confused at his actions in season 5, but once the twist was revealed that he was the true villain of the season and that he was playing everyone else, he became my favourite villain in the entire show, and cemented season 5 as the best season of the show. In retrospect, the Nina twist is great but also has a major plot hole created in the process. Considering the fact that Nina was the second mole aside from Jamie, why did she sell Jamie out when no one was suspecting Jamie in the first place. If she didn’t sell out Jamie to CTU, Nina and the Drazens would have succeeded with their plan a long time ago. Another incredible and game changing twist is the shocking death of Teri Bauer, changed the whole course of the series and changed Jack’s character for the better.
@@izetyusein3323 Teri moment is the most shocking moment in the show make 24 became special, make everyone nearly think this is over with another typical action movie with happy ending until the end. And just like Ned Stark, this moment prove anyone beside the main character can die.
The cherry on top of the cake of nina’s betrayal for me is the very last scene of s1, Jack holding his wife’s body while hopelessly crying left me fucking shocked even though I knew that was gonna happen, the only other time that I’ve felt that way is after thanos snap in infinity war and our heroes vanishing, I remember I watched the movie alone and when I left the cinema the mall was super empty so I couldn’t process what I had just seen and had to get back to reality.
Omg I *screamed* when the River's identify was revealed! My mind starting buzzing with all of the implications and realizations! Then they did it again with Mel!!! Awesome! Sorry for all of the "!", I was just that excited!
Ned Starks death is the ultimate plot twist! I'll never forget how shocked I was sitting there waiting for someone to save the day or watching him escape somehow!
Yup… and all that time, he was continuously getting in Siddiq’s head, re-traumatizing him. Danté seemed to relish it, too. Gave really gave him what he deserved. I loved seeing him go absolutely apeshit on Danté, though. Very unexpected and violent. I could appreciate that.
For me the two twists that shocked me and made me cry are when we found out who the Gormogon apprentice was in Bones and when we found out who slept with Boo's boyfriend in Fleabag.
The twist that got me the most was on House, MD where Dr. House has a head injury, because he was involved in a bus crash, but knows there was someone important more injured whom he needs to save, but he can’t remember who it is. It’s a 2 part episode that starts with ‘House’s Head’. That reveal was a shock and a heartbreaker! So was the episode where one of the team commits suicide, and there was never any signs. This is the one mystery/puzzle House could never solve. The final House episode that shocked the hell out of me was when a young homeless man comes in with burns, and the team ends up with his case, as he is actually very ill. Who that man ends up being was COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED!!😱😱 My faves on the list here were the American Horror Story one with poor Violet finding out she’s really dead. When she finally sees her own body, how she cries just breaks me. 🥺 I am a HUGE fan of the first 4 seasons of Dexter, and seeing his infant son end up where Dexter himself started was INSANE.
When the Galactica fleet arrived on earth and they all started celebrating I began tearing up. Having watched the original and not having any closure I thought this would be the final episode to the series with a satisfying ending. When it turned out earth was a nuclear wasteland, it just took the air out of my lungs and kept me in shock, even as the credits rolled. Talk about feeling bummed!
I remember sitting there for a good 5 minutes after just processing what just happened. It was pure grief. Like oh my god after all of that, this. It was beautiful.
Think Sons of Anarchy S3 Finale deserved to be on here. After all the shit that went down, Jax being set up as the “rat” and the club being arrested. Only for it to be revealed it was their plan all along, and finally taking out Stahl and Jimmy O. Opie and Chibs getting revenge, the club only serving a reduced sentence, as well as Tara discovering JT’s letters. All the while “Hey Hey, My My” is playing. Truly 10/10 TV twist.
I randomly stumbled upon this video and then i went onto watch something on prime as i was bored and then i noticed that this series THIS IS US was in this youtube video so i just gave it a shot, i must say it’s the best drama series I’ve ever watched! and I highly recommend it to those who haven’t watched it yet
You teased Dark in t intro and never included them in the list! So many brilliant twists, #1 being the Stranger's identify and just much that impacted every other character.
I think a better twist from Alias was also from season 2, at the end of phase one, when they go in and take out SD6 and the Alliance is no more and then we found out that the whole thing was basically orchestrated by Sloane. He knew for a while that Sydney and Jack were actually really working with the CIA and used that to leak the information to Sydney and have the CIA takeout the Alliance. He was never actually loyal to the Alliance and was merely using them as a means to an end. That whole episode was such an incredible game changer for the show. It's really no wonder that they used that episode for the post super bowl spot.
@@mecube9148 kid u didn't understand the end. It isn't purgatory they just showed afterlife as sideway scene that's all. Actually the island plane crash all happened don't hate it without even understanding it.

The last one that totally got me was “Behind her eyes”
Red wedding is number 1 for me. As a fan of the book and expecting this to happen, it still shocked me. Absolutely brilliant plot twist
I have seen Lost and GOT, I am a big GOT fan but believe me people No.1 should not be changed cause it was biggg but yeah GOT should be 2nd... 🥶🌹💖
That Rita twist shook like anything
Ned Starks death is the ultimate plot twist! I'll never forget how shocked I was sitting there waiting for someone to save the day or watching him escape somehow!
Bent neck lady reveal being at 18 is a crime. One of the best plot twists I’ve ever seen
Attack On Titan
absolute monolith in terms of subversion & exceeding expectations !
Peak fiction in plot twists & television!

I still get chills when the Lost title sequence runs.. and that thump at the end of an episode.. Oh ya. Good stuff.
The Plot twist in the final scene of Sharp Objects still has me freaked out
The reveal of the armored and colossal titan was the best for me, everything was perfect about that scene.
They didn't include anime here. Well that was great twist. Try lost series bro it's a life changing one you will never forget it.
Bro not even best twist in the series, the basement reveal and paths reveal is better
Walking Dead. Dante being a Whisperer came to mind...after being a comic reader that came as a shock to me.
Dante being a whisperer is a shock plot twist.
The twist in "The Good Place" is the best!!
The bad place reveal was amazing!
Peter Bishop being kidnapped as a child from an alternate universe should be near the top of every 'TV Plot Twists' list.
For me the two twists that shocked me and made me cry are when we found out who the Gormogon apprentice was in Bones and when we found out who slept with Boo's boyfriend in Fleabag.
I couldn't possibly agree more with this list. All of these twists were incredible.
Who that man ends up being was COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED!!😱😱
My faves on the list here were the American Horror Story one with poor Violet finding out she’s really dead. When she finally sees her own body, how she cries just breaks me. 🥺
I am a HUGE fan of the first 4 seasons of Dexter, and seeing his infant son end up where Dexter himself started was INSANE.
I remember gasping at O’Malley being John Doe and yelling at Bernard not being human. Those 2 blew my mind
SOA definitely deserves some love
Definitely agree
Should have done at least an honorable mention for Opie’s death on Sons of Anarchy! That twist wrecked me!!
Oh man that 1 hurt soo bad!!
Also this 1 wasn't a twist but it definitely hurt me as well, Bodie from The Wire
Big moment but not a twist...Jax was fighting for Opie to have a chance before being executed
There's so many amazing show altering twists in Mr Robot, but you guys picked the twist that isn't show altering?!
Yeah I’d go with both major ones in season 1. The finales major twist. And smaller one at the end of season 3
Just seeing walt in the thumbnail make me wanna rewatch breaking bad again
Glad to see Doctor who made this list!!
I was not surprised at all by the red wedding. Ned Stark's death was a lot more shocking to me.
As soon as I saw the list, I knew LOST was going to take the title
The Breaking Bad twist is still the greatest twist I have ever seen - that episode is my favorite TV episode of all time due to that
Watch more shows.
Bro hasn’t seen mr robot
The Battlestar Galactica one was the one that hit me the most. I remember watching that and being so shocked. It was fantastic.
I remember being most shocked about finding out some of our favorite characters were Cylons the whole time! Even THEY didn't even know!
The season one finale of the good place will go down as one of my favorite plot twists
Absolutely. I remember rewinding the show because I thought I heard Michael wrong lol
Everyone talked about the twist so much that I started trying to catch up since then
The Red Wedding is still one of my favorite plot twists of GoT, The way it was setup was perfect.
I think the biggest plot twist of the series though was how shockingly shit the last series was
@@MT-UK yes 😂
I randomly stumbled upon this video and then i went onto watch something on prime as i was bored and then i noticed that this series THIS IS US was in this youtube video so i just gave it a shot, i must say it’s the best drama series I’ve ever watched! and I highly recommend it to those who haven’t watched it yet
Dark is Really Really Underrated
Best list yet
You should do a video about villains doing the worst things and then regret it after
And best redemption arcs. Negan is my favorite.
it's really cool what you showed btw I'm from Indonesia and I used google translate to type this thanks my favorite movie came here btw😂
Hey there from the United States. Also you are right.

You teased Dark in t intro and never included them in the list! So many brilliant twists, #1 being the Stranger's identify and just much that impacted every other character.
GoT and Braking Bad has so many plottwist. I'ts impossible to nail down which is best. Squid Game also had a big one.
New Amsterdam's "Your Turn" episode has a jaw dropping plot twist deserving of this list.
Watch mojo been making some 🔥 videos recently, good job 👏
LOST had the best twist and turns of all time.
To throw it away with lazy ass purgatory ending. Never explained the polar bear, smoke monster, or why they are all intertwined
@@mecube9148 smoke monster is MiB
@@mecube9148 kid u didn't understand the end. It isn't purgatory they just showed afterlife as sideway scene that's all. Actually the island plane crash all happened don't hate it without even understanding it.
@@mecube9148 go watch it again
The Mr. Robot season 4 twist was SO much better than the prison twist. You chose by far the tamest twist from a bonkers show
The entire show of Dark is a shocking plot twirst.
It was super predictable
@@nitinkapoor1369 Sure sure...
Ben wasn’t just Dr. Cox’s friend. He was his brother-in-law. And they were so close that when Dr. Cox and his wife divorced, Ben chose Dr. Cox and stopped talking to his sister as much.
Forget foreign language TV plot twists. Dark could be it’s own list 🤣🤣🤣
For me the Plot Twist was Jon Snow actually being Aegon Targaryen
Not going to lie, I was sitting here about to be super pissed that Lost was disrespected... and then it was number 1! Good job!
The wild thing is you could've had Michael shooting Ana Lucia and Libby at #1 as well for Lost. God that show is amazing
