This is happenning to me - after 7 years, and getting so close to a promotion, I'm being demoted because the company hired some guys to make a new organisational structure. This meant stripping me of my responsibilities, giving them to people who haven't been hired yet and reducing me down to one skill that no one else has but they desperately need. This means a major demotion for me - putting me in a roll I haven't done for a decade as i'd worked up the ranks to get beyond that.
Meanwhile, everyone else is getting promotions, people who haven't been there longer than a year. I have never had one. I would hand in my notice now if i hadn't had a massive change to my personal circumstances which mean i need to stay for at least another year.😔
I just need to deal with my anger and frustration and suck it up somehow.

It is humiliating. Don't quit, take a few days to yourself and then go back and get even.

It hurts, when org that big. Future and Humanity depends on it, hurts even more. I wanna give up completely, but i also know that this company will dominate whole world after 10 years. Elon musk already sued the company, some part felt good. But still hurts bad after years of contribution thats how they repay me? I think i would be more happy if they fire me instead.
