😄 I loved it and the price is very reasonable, had a little go on the triumph Street triple R to and that was fun, I will need to go and test ride the GT again with a pillion passenger as I want to use it for travelling with a friend, how is it with someone on the back of this bike?
I took a pillion on the latter part of the ride. Excellent for pillion, good grab rails, a little back support and they can see over your head (so don't just have to look sideways). We went to Switzerland, Italy etc on it and I found it fine fully loaded, still grunty and controllable. I've heard some find it a little heavy but didn't really find that myself. For what you get they are a bit of a bargain - although I have just got a street triple rx!!
Not sure mate. My GT from memory came with full luggage (awesome) touring seat, touring screen. I recall one of the changes for that generation was longer wheel base
***** Me neither! Speed cops must love it though. I'm guessing it's also on the later model 1050 Sprints too with it being the same instrument package.
I once owned a sprint ST, happy days. Some time later I had a test ride on the GT. If the ST was a racehorse then the GT was a carthorse, awful thing, couldn't wait to give it back!
Such a good bike.
I finally bought one a couple of weeks ago. Same colour too. I am now in love!
Awesome bikes, enjoy!! I recommend the luggage inners if your planning in doing a few long trips
Excellent review. I had been wondering about the ease of removing the panniers so thanks for demonstrating. :-)
Nice simple review ☺
Thanks!

Can that function that records your highest speed be disabled?
No but it can be reset!
don't see the point in it myself
