This is awesome! Thanks for this tutorial as it really helps. I was also noticing some posibilities within J&S under their switch templates feature which looks like another way to take rendered 3D movement and have it select between grid of images. Going to test both ways.
Nice! Glad it helped! Ya the switch template would be a good way to incorporate perhaps an x and y movement- In honesty though, I found that particular feature of J+S quite difficult to pull off. That plugin shines when it is tweening shape paths or layer parameters/ remapped footage. It's the best!
14:20 - I'm not sure, but I think you can achieve the same setup with the controller from DUIK. Just connect the up and down movement from the guitar to the y property of the controller and the left and right rotation to the x property, and so everyone can achieve this for free (no need to spend money on Joysticks n' Sliders). But just I wanna say, your videos are so, so, so, sooo good, you definitely deserve more subscribers, likes, and views. Looking forward to learn more from your videos Jimmy!
Thanks for mentioning this!- It should work with DUIK controllers theoretically - and that is a good point because *most* of the type of rigging I do using Joysticks 'n' Sliders is also achievable using DUIK's powerful free plugin- I just happen to love the simplicity of J 'n' S and for my workflow it is well worth the $$. That said, it is not necessarily a requirement - and I have been meaning to utilize it more in my workflow and tutorials. Thanks so much for taking the time to check this out and sharing your kind words. Much appreciated!
@@lazerslab Yeah yeah, I agree with you, J n' S is well worth the money, it's just that people might think that J n' S is a must-have plugin (I thought so myself hahaha) when in reality it's not, and that's really good to know because when you're still learning you might not have that money to spend on plugins and stuff.
Thanks for sharing! :)! Love the tutorials 🔥
Glad ya dig it! Thanks for stopping by!
