Even though they look antiquated from todays standards, when I saw this for the first time in 1995/96 (I think) those graphics looked incredible. WAY, WAY Too sophisticated for 80s. Simulators like this would NOT have existed in the 70s.
@@kudukilla just looked up the date of the 'F-15 blackhawk' shootdown they mentioned in the video, which happened in 1994, and CVW-11 only deployed with two hornet squadrons in 1995, so I'll guess this footage was shot in 1995.

Omg, the simulator graphics look like 1970's - 80's! From when is this documentary? Can't be later then middle 90's or so!

No mention of Super Hornets, first operational in 2002, but did mention Bosnia conflict which began in 1992. That should help narrow down timeframe.

3D Graphics were barely a thing in 1995. This would have been cutting edge at the time.
