People talk about the transition from BLU to RED, which by itself is impressive, but you have to add the subtle shift of lighting once it happens which sells the whole thing Also the laughing mercs actually dropping their weapons on the floor
Unlocked memories with this song. I frequented a micspam server in college, but it was more like a space to dj music instead of spam obnoxious stuff. We would ban overspam, instead people would politely take turns playing their own songs. We would often play this song on Dustbowl. I miss community experiences like that in TF2. I don't think there's a way to capture in a bottle that magical era of the internet I experienced. I can only be happy that it happened. And I am happy.

So I've watched this video a few times because its amazing, but I only JUST noticed the timing at 0:28 where the Sniper and Heavy in the bottom left die on beat to the syllables of "Dust-bowl" and my appreciation for this video just keeps going up
Ima do something stupid here. 1. At the start, RED had only Engineers. Let's assume it was a full team of 12. 2. Three Engineers likely suicided and changed to Sniper, Demoman and Pyro. 3. Three more Engineers changed to Spy, Scout and Soldier. 4. To my count, 20 stickys were dropped onto BLY Scout, Heavy, Medic and Demoman. This means two more Engineers changed to Demoman since there was one at the start. 5. Two more RED Engineers changed to Heavy and Medic. This means at the end of the match, there was Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Demoman, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Engineer, Medic, Sniper and Spy on the RED team.
I haven't heard this song in YEARS, and despite having only watched it a handful of times when it first came out, it became the one thing I think about EVERY time I load into that map. "It's beginning to look a lot like DUSTBOWL...." Thank you for doing it service with your lovely homage, it's wonderful!
ya know, despite what everyone says about dustbowl, i still love the map, if you get a good match with balanced teams its a really fun and tense map, whether your desperately whacking your sentry as it somehow tanks an entire teams worth of firepower hoping that it stays up for just 5 more seconds, or you come screaming through a choke point as an ubered heavy, hoping that you can kill the sentry and medic before those precocious ten seconds are over.
Many people complain about it, but the feeling after a 20 minute long dustbowl match when both teams are fighting as hard as they can to win is something that cannot be described. Win or Lose it's a great match. Merry Smissmass.

To be fair if the map makes it harder for offense to win, I'd say that's pretty unfair. I personally don't have any issues with the map but I can certainly see why it's hated
One problem with DB is that you can´t really have different tactics, because it´s just a long lane. Sentries, Stickytraps, Snipers and Pyros will always be stationed at the same chokepoints, and if offense wins it´s just because they have a few pubstompers more.
Love it. Dustbowl is actually one of my favourite TF2 Maps, no matter if RED or BLU team. Have many great memories with this map and this song sums up some of them XD Awesome video
The lighting switch from the industrial white lights blu has to the rustic yellow lights of red is so amazing and subtle, yet sells the scene perfectly.
I dont know if anyone else say/talked about this but the camera shot of 0:28-0:30, theres a scout huddled up crying in the corner, and that sums up my expierence with Dustbowl. (still love playing the map)
The great thing about this video is that it mixes funny with relatable. Dustbowl is stalematey, spam heavy, and is generally more fun to defend then to attack on. This video deserves the views. 👍
This is really fitting and really cool because someone named iSpam used nearly 100 Secret Saxtons in one lobby. I got so many gifts, like 15! What's funny is that this happened in October, and it's just amazing how everyone called it "Christmas in October". W iSpam.

Dust bowl has a special place in my heart, it was the first ever map I ever played my first time ever playing TF2. DUST BOWL I [emotion] YOU

Love it. Dustbowl is actually one of my favourite TF2 Maps, no matter if RED or BLU team. Have many great memories with this map and this song sums up some of them XD Awesome video
The lighting switch from the industrial white lights blu has to the rustic yellow lights of red is so amazing and subtle, yet sells the scene perfectly.
This is one of the best tf2 SFMs I've ever seen, not exaggerating.
I dont know if anyone else say/talked about this but the camera shot of 0:28-0:30, theres a scout huddled up crying in the corner, and that sums up my expierence with Dustbowl.

The great thing about this video is that it mixes funny with relatable. Dustbowl is stalematey, spam heavy, and is generally more fun to defend then to attack on. This video deserves the views. 👍
