I think when you’re young, you have different needs....the looks that you can enjoy as a younger person no longer works when you have no brow hairs, pigmentation, wrinkles and dry skin...a lot of make up catches on thin saggy skin...its just the way it is.
I think most people forget that this line was intended mainly for mature skin, I.e. dry skin. I think you’re even remotely oily this would not work for you. I see a lot of beauty UA-camrs in their twenties using this and it makes sense why you wouldn’t like it.
I’m 60 and live in Florida. I loved it till I put it on. My face perspired becuz it’s thick and sticky so no air gets to your skin so sun out? Not good. 🤦♀️🤷♀️
Foundation works better on mature skin, I’m 40 and is perfect on the cold months. If it didn’t work for you is that you are enjoying the gift of youth, enjoy it ❤
Omg is your skin dry too? I have been thinking about getting it even tho im only 20 because i have dermatites so my skin is super dry + i have a lot of fine lines
Jones Road is targeted to those with mature, dry dehydrated skin. If you don't have these issues, you will more than likely not like the Jones Road face products. Which is not the fault or inferiority of the products. If you're using a product that's not targeted to your skintype, then the fault is yours. No disrespect to this Influencer though. She is lovely and I know it's her job. Just wanted to make sure Jones Road doesn't get reputation for inferior products.
@@stacietowe5162 you’re right, there very likely is. It probably got too hot or cold during shipping or storage.. those whipped products, or really, any foundation can spoil easily if not stored properly.
Miracle balm does give a natural sheen that highlighters fail to do. I love it during cold times because it’s sorta occlusive. I’ll probably reach for WTFoundation as I get older. I love the Sparkle Wash in Gilded. I would def recommend from them Blush, Bronzer. I’m waiting for a powder to get released.
@Alejandro I read it just fine thank you. Your comment heavily implied that all women who are older have dry skin, and that’s simply not true. You talk of reading comprehension, when it’s you who needs to work on your syntax and grammar.
The brow pencil looks hairy cause it actually has little fibers in it that mixed with the slight waxiness of the pencil will stick to your brow hairs making it appear thicker! :)
Yeah but that's just gross because the hairs mist definitely would stick the wrong way to the wrong hairs and make my eyebrows look like an old guy's with some going everywhere and weird
@crystallowden3342 it doesn't do that, it looks really natural, Rimmel do an eyebrow pencil with fibers as well. As you get older, your eyebrows thin out, plus all of us who are in our forties now lived through the 90s and plucked our eyebrows to death, so we need the infill 😂
I freaking LOVE the foundation, but I know it doesn't work for a lot of people and yes, it IS sticky even when 'dried down'. A little goes a long way, and it's definitely better for hella-dry skin like I have. It's OK, I'll buy all of it. LOL
I agree. I have mature, dry dehydrated skin that sucks moisture from even the most hydrating foundations. So the WTF Tinted Balm Is also a lifesaver if you have flaky skin that looks terrible no matter what you put on over it...this balm lays down and moisterizes those flakes so you can go out and be presentable.
Jones road is for MATURE SKIN and you should set it with a setting powder. You should also mix it because it has oils in it lol. I am 50 and it’s amazing for MATURE skin.
Not that I disagree with the foundation being bad but the whole “why do you have to mix it” is kinda dumb. Mixing it is the equivalent of having to shake a foundation bottle
As a mid-20s male, I *love* the foundation - it’s the perfect, quick and easy foundation for wearing to the office without having to fuss with it. It easily wears so well all day, and is especially great for dry, winter skin or dry skin from corporate office A/C all day. I’ve tried a few other foundations since first trying WTF, but always come back to it for how good it lucks with such minimal effort
You sound very young.? I’m pretty sure this is for older aging skin. Which is dry and need different makeups from younger skin. All of the reviews I have seen are of women who are under 50 and don’t care for the feel if this. I really don’t think it’s geared towards that age of skin needs. This is just my take on what I have been researching on this line of makeup.
I don't have mature skin, but I do have sjogrens syndrome so my skin is often dry af. I really like how thick the miracle and emolient it is. Keeps me from crusting up.
The brow pencil looks hairy because it has fibers in it, on purpose. I think it’s for filling in more sparse brows without needing 2 steps to do it. That’s not a problem you have, because you’re younger, but because the eyebrow can thin as we age, it’s helpful for women starting in perimenopause. Similarly, I don’t think that this line, particularly the items that are for the face, is aimed at a woman with younger skin. This seems to be aimed at a demo that needs more of a skincare formulation, who doesn’t use a lot of face makeup, but treats this like something you meld with the skin rather than place on it, to be a real no makeup, but healthy looking look. The JR folks don’t seem to want to explicitly talk about filling a niche in the market for women 45 and up, because they don’t want to alienate any potential customers. But this isn’t really aimed at you in the way you use makeup.
I totally appreciate your feedback. Indeed, the products don’t look so appealing. However, I believe she is marketing them for a more mature audience so the greasiness you feel would be better suited for skin that is mature and perhaps drier. Having said that, thank you for your info and description 😊
The foundation I received does not look like that at all. Idk if yours melted but mine is solid and looks really nice. With the balms, it depends on the color. Not all of them have the metallic sheen. The foundation was formulated for mature skin so that's probably why alot of younger women don't care for it
it boggles me why they make the miracle balm so gigantic??? why not make the pots smaller and sell them at cheaper? i doubt even makeup artists need this much of one colour of a cream blush/eyeshadow/tinted lip balm setting aside how the texture doesn’t work for me the size is boggling
A lot of people say this actually works best as a primer?! And I heard she developed it while trying to make a foundation type thing at first so like if it works best as a primer (depending on color of course) I’m down for the big size
Why is it that most older women know what to stay away from because it's not flattering but young women think they are included as the target audience for all products? This isn't meant for you, young ladies. Why's that so hard to understand?
I did the Dusty Rose also. It was so thick it made my face perspire. Plus I thought I’d try it up in Michigan on vacation becuz it’s a “natural look” and I wouldn’t perspire up there. When I came down for dinner after pretty minimal make up in general my cousin and Aunt both separately asked me “ “your face is all shiny”. Like I looked weird😮.
The reason foundation is like that is because it’s more like a moisturizer not like an actual foundation and it’s not for full coverage so people that want full coverage to not use this foundation. It’s kind of good I understand why people don’t like it.😊
I don’t do gooey products that come in such a wide open container. I hate twisting on & off big caps and dipping my fingers into waxy or goopy stuff. I don’t buy anything that needs maintenance like sharpening. I’m hoping this brand revamps some products as in stick form and multi color pallets with smaller sizes of the face colors.
It's literally not for you, it's for aging and problematic skin. This is why I don't take reviews from influencers. There is no product that is for everyone! Grow up
I know what you’re saying, but you’re young. If you’re over 45, although the tackiness isn’t ideal, you appreciate it cuz you know it’s gonna be providing hydration to ur old ass face all day like an IV drip.
Your skin is too young and so amazing looking and probably produces oil normally. When you age that completely changes with menopause, this line totally works for me and my severe dry skin and doesn’t sink into all my wrinkles. Try it in maybe 10-20 years and you will love it then!
I don't think that line was made for younger skin. It looks like it might work for dry skin in the winter months. I change my makeup in the Summer and Winter as my skin needs change. In any case, you seem to really hate this makeup and I'm about to find out if I agree with you as I order a whole bunch of it and it's arriving tomorrow.
That's an unfair review of the foundation, I wear it and does not make my face sticky at all! You have to mix it at the beginning but after a while it says mixed. It doesn't work for oily skin, I have dry skin and I use moisturizer then I apply the WTF Foundation and it wears beautifully and my face feels moisturized. I've been wearing this foundation and it is not sticky.
