  • Bass cover of Brandy's "Sittin' Up In My Room".
As you can see, I'm playing my new bass - Sterling by Music Man Ray35!
I heard this song on the radio about a year ago and this slap riff has been stuck in my head ever since. '90s R&B songs like this makes me feel very nostalgic, especially during these times.
Hope you like it, thanks for watching and stay safe!

Was sitting down at the end of a long day... Plate of half warm dinner in my lap... exhausted, cranky and feeling a little sorry for myself. And then... I saw Julia had posted a new track and I started to feel a little better about myself. And then... I started to listen to this new track... and about halfway into the second bar I suddenly didn't feel quite as exhausted as I did 10 seconds earlier. And I could not for the life of me remember why I was cranky and sulking when I turned on the TV - not a clue. Yes, once again, Julia had brought the funk. And the funk swept over the land. And it was good. Amen.

I had just commented to a friend what great shape Julia’s sub base was in. Not a scratch on it! Not a single blemish. You can tell how much she loves a d cares for that instrument. Wow, now she has these two new bases. She’s going to treat them the same way. But the “SUB”, I think, will always be her baby! Congratulations Julia.

Oh my! I went and found the original song & Julia's bass line is on completely another level here - much more complex musically, more groovy, with many more little & big tasteful details! :o At first this performance doesn't sound as flashy as some of Julia's others, but only after comparing to the original one sees how much better it is! Awesome!!!

I was really planning to buy another bass like Julia's Sterling Sub Ray 4 just because of Julia. You really are an effective brand ambassador even before they realised it. You have influenced me in so many ways, I learned the bass because of you!
