Thank you! As a yoga instructor, sometimes I find myself, pushing myself to hard because my practice isn't as advanced as I would like it. Even though I do practice daily, my body just goes at its on pace. This reminder helps me appreciate when I am today! Thank you again! Namaste ✨💛
Yes, yes yess I got it guys ! I've been practising handstand for a year (ok not regularly) but it's one of my biggest struggle! 1st: overcome the fear of falling out ; 2: managing to jump correctly to get your shoulders above your hands and get a straight line! this is haard specially for people who have an arched back ! ok here are my tips: really suck your belly to tighten your core and THINK OF GETTING YOUR HIPS ABOVE YOUR SHOULDERS!! Forget about your legs, they are just here to give you an impulsion! But you have to contract the muscles of both legs otherwise you won't be able to hold ! Good luck !
Thank you, Kino, for this video! I'm privileged to practice handstand with you. Since I started Kino Yoga and your doyouyoga videos three months ago I have practiced yoga daily, and I have had great physical, mental, and spiritual benefits through the practice. Three months ago I would have thought that I would not even try handstand practice because I was not ready for it. Now I try it not because I'm completely ready, but because I'm willing to make efforts, and I believe that the journey is fantastic! Namaste 🙏
Thank you so much for all your videos! I have been practicing yoga for a long time but recently took up Ashtanga. After practicing jump through and back with you yesterday, I went to Mysore pratice and did it! I think my teachers were impressed. But not only that, being able to do these more acrobatic postures and movements allows me to flow with my breath more efficiently. You have been so helpful.... and given me so much confidence and inspiration.
Kino... I appreciate you so much... Thank you for begin alive and guiding me through your video's. You cannot imagine what a support you are in my life. Esra
i am so happy for u that u achieved your goal of learning handstands! i have been doing handstands my whole life, my parents taught me to as a baby, but i am so out of practice. your video is helping me ease back into it safely. thank u so much for posting this video and sharing about your experience.
Obrigada! Thank you! What you said about possibilities is what I´ve been learning, plus others things, since I started yoga n meditation six months ago. And then I found you in IG to just make my journey even more blessing. Thank you thank you thank you I´m so happy for this handstand I`ve been trying for so long and only now you showed me I can. Again, thank you!
kino you are a godsend....i could never perform a hand stand but now i am able to do a little bit and this gave me great happiness...and i hope to master it....thank you very much....peace
Best beginner handstand video I have come across. Finally managed a handstand at the wall which for me is massive. Inspiring teacher who explains things just brilliantly. now very tempted to purchase the 'journey to handstand' series but worried I might not be strong enough. but excellent really great video. THANK YOU KINO. Now I feel anything is possible so going to try your kapotasana video with blocks :)
Hey Kino, thanks for this great video! One question: should I alternate which leg I jump off into the handstand with? Or is it okay to have a dominant leg I jump off at the beginning stages of the practice?
This will be really helpful as you explain everything in very detailed way. Thank you so much for this. I'll do it! I tried it before but was scared. Actually, I didn't know the techniques how to do.
thanks Kino so much!! I am still working on my handstands and this was very helpful to build up more core! (which im kind of always leaving for "later" hehe)
Brilliant advice! I can hold a good handstand most days (I can often get 10+ seconds) but I am inconsistent. I can now see I am too enthusiastic when kicking up (I've never worried about rolling forward) so I will revisit my entry. When I practice using the wall I am also too far away by comparing your positiong. Stay well 🙏 I also like the idea of trying to think about squeezing my bum and core to lift my legs off the wall for better alignment since this I feel a little over arching is also a contributing factor in my handstand overshooting sometimes even when I get into what feels like a good starting position.
Thank you very very much Kino! Your techniques are very clearly explained and helped me to improve my balances! Keep on doing, your help is so appreciated. Kisses :*
Hi Kino, your videos are awesome, thanks for making them! One thing that I have a problem with is that I don't know some of the terminology that you use, in this video I had to google scalpels and protraction and retraction of shoulders. Can you try to explain some terms in the beginning of your new videos?
:-)Love the practice demio..and the Inspiration beyond posture.. Do not let anything on Life path to Yoga.. defite You..As Soul we are Undefeatable..Namaste..Infinite Blessings..Love..Light..
You are hands-down-dog (hehe) my favourite yoga teacher; weightless, ageless and your instructions are brilliant, love the philosophy and the physical side by side. See you in 2 years, upside-down in Salamba Sirsasana. Love from Berlin x
I love this! Keep up the inspiration please! I love your videos. I just started my channel and yours is so helpful and informative. Definitely two thumbs up hun ! # inspired
Hi, Kino. Nice video. My back is so arched as always, I've been learning to do a proper handstand for quite many years on and off, sadly I still can't overcome the archness( similar like the position in my avatar but inverted), but you did it with straight back so easily. I guess it's the shoulder mobility issue, but I have no idea how to correct this? Any ideas?
Thank you darling, that was lovely :) I have been absolutely terrified of trying a handstand out, but last weekend I did attempt to practice with the wall (except that I was facing the opposite direction you were, haha)... and I managed to get a leg extended, even though the other was still on the wall for support :) I'll keep practicing though and your videos are very inspiring. Thank you and bless you! Om Mani Padme Hum :) xXx
Wow... I'm going to try this video in my practice tomorrow, I don't think it will look quite so graceful- the last time I attempted a handstand I lost my balance, became disoriented and landed on my head! On that note, do you have any tips for people with terrible balance (I mean comically bad balance), or is it just a case of learning to live with it?
Dear Kino,.. I have been following your videos since long time,. I was wondering if you could come up with some videos of how to use yoga wheel.. Thanks
So you elevate your scupalae, that's clear. Should we also pinch them together while in handstand, or keep them in neutral position? (I try to do handstand pushups as well btw)
I love watching your videos and you have been wonderful but how far into yoga should you be before you try a headstand?? Should I get fully straight downward dog before attempting??
i PRACTICE THIS VIDEO LIKE A YEAR AGO, AND THEN YOU CAME TO PANAMA AND I TAKE THE WORKSHOP WITH YOU! THEN AFTER MONTHS OF PRACTICE TODAY I WAS ABLE OF HANDSTAND LIKE THREE SECONDS =D IM SOOOOO HAPPY!!!! A LOT OF LOVE FOR YOU KINO HTHNKS
Her voice sounds like the waves of a thousand oceans and direct deposit paychecks 💆🏾♀️subbingggg

I did a wall stand by your technique madam. Thank you so much 👍👍
This is a great video. Thanks Kino!
Starting off with stag really helps, because it's easy to hold and when you are comfortable in it you can manipulate your poses.
started today working towards a handstand using your technique. Enjoyed your words of encouragement as well.
This was really helpful for me on my hand-stansd jury. I love your sharing in the end. Thank you
+Mitra Hoop Awesome!!
Thank you Kino so much, you are amazing :))) your advices are really helpfull. I was able to see progress even after first time i used your tipps.
Amazing! I can hold handstand, and it feels like anti-gravity! Thank you :)))
Hi, Kino. Nice video. Thank you so much Kino! You're an Angel!!!!
I can do the handstand with a wall support but this was of great help. I have not done it but I know I can..thank you kino :-) Tomorrow morning...:-)
fabulous, getting there with your guidance, thank you :)
I love you Kino!! Your strength and beauty are one of a kind
Thank you darling, that was lovely :) I have been absolutely terrified of trying a handstand out, but last weekend I did attempt to practice with the wall (except that I was facing the opposite direction you were, haha)... and I managed to get a leg extended, even though the other was still on the wall for support :) I'll keep practicing though and your videos are very inspiring. i was really scared to try this but i aventully got it!

this is so helpful! I got it the first time and then lost it 10 seconds later but I'll practice again with this video for sure :)
I love your practice
Incredible!! Your movements just flow. #goals
"let's hold for 10"
*35 seconds later*
"....and 10. okay come down"
ha-ha...right..
brittney putzer count of 10. not 10 sec!
It´s not easy to give instructions, make the posture and count at the same time.
brittney putz
in yoga you don’t count seconds, you count breaths!
Dear Kino,.. I have been following your videos since long time,. I was wondering if you could come up with some videos of how to use yoga wheel.. Thanks
+Dr. Amarayya Hiremath Great idea! Stay tuned :)
+KinoYoga thank you so much for reply..
Dear madam very very nice and beautiful exercise god bless you always I wish you all the best thank you very much
So you elevate your scupalae, that's clear. Should we also pinch them together while in handstand, or keep them in neutral position? (I try to do handstand pushups as well btw)
Almost done it , thank you
Love it Kino thanks so much , I felt that alignment when we were softly kicking the leg up but the time with the straigth legs
you make it look so easy!
I had to use the wall to kinda climb up with my legs the first time, but I am determined to do it without eventually.
That's the right attitude! Keep practicing :)
i fold lag stended but lag open to me not balance keep
you are saying Om. that's is very nice.
I love watching your videos and you have been wonderful but how far into yoga should you be before you try a headstand?? Should I get fully straight downward dog before attempting??
Love this video! Thanks for the help!!
the problem is i can't get my first leg that high up
same! its so hard =/
Problem is I don't know how to get my feet up in the sky is like scary
I cant stretch my second leg
where did you get those pants from? they're awesome!
Helpful :) ...I think I'm gonna feel awesome after doing my side splits and full lotus
Great stuff! You rock, Kino.
Been practicing every day for the last 11 months and I am still only able to hold it for about 4 secs (sometimes) hoping this will help a bit
