I forgot to mention that the scope is a 1.5x4 power Bushnell Sport view! Seen it in the sale case when leaving the gun shop for $29.00. Needless to say.. I swooped it up real quick :) I have Bushnell scopes on all my firearms! They've never let me down! My favorite line is their Prime scopes.. but the Elites are a close second!
Thank you.. it's my beautiful firearm! I get .5 inch groups at 100 yards with Winchester 180 grain loads! My first impression with the firearm was.. where's the recoil? But I knew when I picked it up.. I was ordering a Boyds stock!
Thank you 😊 That Boyds stock is beautiful.. I love the deer pattern checkering! I also added a Glade's Tactical Bolt knob due to clearance issues. Thanks for stopping by.. much appreciated brother
@@brettbarnard8211 I just went with the standard measurements.. not the bull barrel! I highly recommend you choose pillar bedding and add a metal trigger guard to the cart :)
@@brettbarnard8211 you're welcome.. you could give them a call and inquire about stainless. If that's what you want! They are more than likely to have them

100 yards.. consistently! That's with Winchester 180 grain factory ammo. Before I put the Boyds stock.. Federal 180 grain loads were.75 inches at 100 yards and the Winchester 180 grain loads were just under one inch at 100 yards. Browning also shot .65 inch groups at 100 yards. The rest of the factory ammo was about one and a half inches at 100 yards.. with the exception of Winchester full metal jackets.. they were three inches at 100 yards. The firearm always shot great.. but definitely shoots better with the Boyds stock!
@@blackie1of4 the 180s grouped a little better than the 150s at 100 yards. But I stayed at a 1 in group at 200 and 3 in group at 300 with the 150s. Where the 180s opened up to a 3 in group at 200.
@@jacobthompson7456 can't beat that! I've only harvest one buck with mine to date! That was back during the 2020 season here in Pennsylvania. It was a big bodied Pennsylvania eight point at forty yards broadside! He mad dashed forty yards and toppled over! It was a complete pass through heart and lung shot.. both lungs had a big hole through them! They didn't pulverize like all the other deer that I've shot. The blood trail was amazing.. not that I needed one.. cause the buck fell within sight! It's definitely a good choice for woods hunting! Lightweight carbine that's short points fast.. accurate low recoil readily available ammo.. and the ammo is relatively inexpensive to boot ❤️ I highly recommend the cartridge! Thanks for stopping by brother.. appreciate your comment and feedback :)
It's for the Savage Axis.. so it would definitely fit! To get the deer pattern you have to get the classic stock. Which is nice and has the raised cheek piece ☺️
Just make sure you get the right action length.. mine the short action stock. So it would fit any Savage Axis chambered in short action cartridges. I also ordered the metal trigger guard and the screws for going from synthetic to wood! It's an extra $20
@@blackie1of4 mines short too I believe it’s the savage axis XP in 350 legend as well it’s that combo my LGS had, pretty good quality and accuracy vs my 450 BM ruger American ranch
@@korazjian5251 yep.. 350 legend is a short action cartridge ❤️ I definitely believe it is near perfect for whitetail inside 200 yards! Lightweight points fast low recoil accurate and has readily available ammo which is inexpensive to boot ❤️ I am extremely happy with my stock.. the only thing I'd change is to order it with the pillar bedding.
