The Barnes and Remington were about the same.. an inch and a half.. the superformance was slightly bigger. None were terrible! That being said.. I believe every rifle deserves sixty rounds through it before you get the accuracy of it 😊 Plus.. from what I've read.. the Barnes all cooper bullets need to be shot from a clean barrel. No cooper alloy prior for best results! I'll most likely try the TSX 200 grain bullets here soon.. but I picked up some Hornady 200 grain to try as well ( reloading. ) Thanks for stopping by brother

@jacobpahl972 it's factory! Grice Gun Shop here in Pennsylvania ordered 400 358 Winchester rifles from Ruger and sold them. That was in 2019

@@hunterdka that's what I've used for deer/black bear! I haven't gotten a black bear.. but I've taken a nice buck! I started reloading this year.. basically due to this rifle. I use the Hornady FTX 200 grain.. and shot my best group to date. The ground was .332 inches.. basically one hole! Now.. @@hunterdka they'll be great! I already planned ahead.. and asked for a Lee Anniversary Kit for Christmas! Then asked for Lee dies and bullets as well So.. all I needed to purchase was primers and powder to get loading :)

@@rarsenio1 thanks for subscribing.. I highly recommend a 1x4 rifle scope! Mines an older Bushnell sport view.. 1.5 x 4 power! A one power would be ever better! Bushnell.com has a low power scope with a German reticle.. with an illuminated dot! I believe it's a Bushnell Trophy.. 1x4 Thanks for the support..

@user-vl7fb8qc3w I heard that! I've experienced the same thing... with different firearms. I was actually looking at the 338 federal cartridge and narrowing it down to what rifle when I saw this one being released. So... I immediately bought one instead!

@@blackie1of4 Exactly! That is why when I wanted a 35 Whelen bolt action and couldn’t find one, I bought an old Savage action and had one made. Also the 338 Federal is an awesome cartridge that really should have been more popular.

Picked up a cva back in February My favorite caliber is 35 I have the 358 Winchester.. the 35 Whelen.. the 350 legend.. and a Ruger 77 in 357 I used to have a 350 Remington Mag.. I'd like to get my hands on another! You're right about the 338 federal.. it's another good cartridge

@@brettbarnard8211 I just went with the standard measurements.. not the bull barrel! I highly recommend you choose pillar bedding and add a metal trigger guard to the cart :)

@@Johnowens-dm1vb I basically went from four moa to one moa.. with three range trips. 1st trip.. no changes.. 4 moa 2nd trip.. Dremel tooled the barrel channel and changed the trigger spring.. 2 moa 3rd trip.. added .002 inch bolt shims to take up slop in the bolt.. one moa I definitely wasn't happy about the first trip.. Yeah.. they're one inch grids! I also don't like the threaded barrel.. however.. I can live with it 😉 I always wanted one.. so when they hit the shelves this year at the local gun shop.. I picked it up!

Definitely is fun to shoot :) I had to do a little bit of work on it.. but nothing to hard. First thing.. free float the barrel! Dremel tool and wooden dowel with sandpaper did the trick. Then I order a trigger spring and bolt shims.. definitely made it shoot better. Trigger is lighter.. but gritty! Anyways.. thank you brother.. I appreciate you stopping by :)

@@blackie1of4 I changed the trigger in in one of mine. (77/22m) Made big difference. Just wish it was more accurate.

@@cw2a you should try the bolt shims.. I noticed that by adding 2/1000th in shims.. the groups were cut in half! I did my changes in steps.. 1st trip.. factory stock 2nd trip.. free floated the barrel and added a new spring ( came with the bolt shims ) 3rd trip.. I added the shims to the bolt The groups shrunk each time.. and actually grouped.. instead of a flyer in every group of three

The 110 is definitely a classic that's hard to beat! The 55 excels as a pocket knife.. and was purchased for my grandson. He'll be turning 13 next month :)

Yes it is.. it's a Bushnell Sport View Very nice scope for the price if you find one! Crystal clear holds a zero and I've used it on several firearms at the range. From zero to 200 yards :)

@@blackie1of4 I like, and have a couple of old Bushnell scopes. 1 of them is a 2.5x20, fixed power, it's on one of my Ruger 10/22's. The glass is very clear. Really neat scope, and light too. I'm not into weight. I like to keep my firearms light. I found that scope at a gun shop, in a 5 gal. bucket of used scopes, for $5.00 out the door.

@@dalesmyth7398 I am the same way.. my hunting is done inside 200 yards.. often inside 75 yards. Most of my scopes are low power variables. My favorite is the Bushnell Prime 1x4x32! I have an elite that's 1x4x24.. but the prime is definitely better! The scope in this video was picked up used.. in the local gun shop for $29.00 :)

@@blackie1of4 Yep, most of my shots are under 75 yds, it's real brushy here. I have taken shots at 5 yards, had a buck to walk out from a cedar bush. I bought a Bushnell Trophy XLT 1-4-24mm with the 5.56 reticle for one of my AR's. I don't care for it, it's heavy for one thing. The glass is clear tho. It's just not the scope I thought I wanted, that's just me. I'd prefer a 1'' tube, lots lighter. I hate humping weight around. You got a deal on that one in the video. If you ever decide to sell that scope, let me know!!! If you're like me, you won't, but thought I'd let you know.

That would make sense.. I don't know what the differences are regarding other break down calibers.. but it can't be much! I asked another person the same thing.. cause he had two of the break down CVA Scouts

Definitely two excellent loads for deer/black bear! I'm going to reload some 200 grain loads and go from there! I used Hornady Super Formance in the test as well... should have included them.. but man did they fall apart! Jacket core separation and fragmented!
