That is Nu Metal. combines elements of heavy metal, hip hop, alternative rock, funk, industrial, and grunge. I was there. Got caught in one of the mosh pits (from stage view the one to the right) and planted a few until they stopped coming towards me. Had a blast doing that!!!
so let's see. one is bragging about being violent on a metal concert, the other about seeing a band earlier than the other... i see no metalheads here to be honest. this whole festival was just fucked up.
If you want to check out more Korn you should try out freak on a leash, falling away from me, clown, or shoots and ladders. They're all great songs, I wouldn't recommend their song 'daddy' just yet as it's a bit full on for your first time listening to Korn
@@skylerspear9044 I can agree. It's even too much for some of the more hardcore KoRn fans (such as myself) to handle that's how deep and dark of a song that is. I think another one that's a bit too much is Pretty because it's the subject of Jonathan witnessing the body of a baby who was essentially killed during a molestation (I think...correct me if I'm wrong) when he worked in a morgue. It's a very graphic song, but daddy isn't for even the more diehard KoRn fans.
yes, we smelled by the end of it all, but this was day 1 and we were in pretty good smelling shape still at this point...pit was the most intense pit I have ever been in, that whole weekends pits were insane....400k people were there...Jonathon Davis has come out and said that this performance was the best performance by KORN ever...yes, its an experience seeing it on youtube, but being there was even more of an experience....after Woodstock 99 everyone started getting cellphones and concerts were never the same again
I no longer mess with my phone. You can find videos of the show all over UA-cam. I try to take it all in, because it may be the last time. I Just saw Korn this past Friday. They still kill it. Phones everywhere, definitely changes the crowd experience.
~*Best concert ever... seen em in an outside ampithear outside of Seattle....soooooo awesome....beutiful night....lights and muh babies playing... love me some Korn forever... thank you Scott for coming up to watch with me....your the best man... RIP muh baby love you forever*~
We all have to be remembered as something and KORN Is one of them! Love your energy and taste in music. Some people are destined to be great for all time!
I was there. Was right in the middle of everyone the crowd was so fucking insane. My best female friend and I lasted the entire concert and we even stayed for Bush and we flew back home. We had an amazing time!
Korn is my favorite band for a concert. Them and Metallica. If you ever get a chance to go to one of their concerts it is a must. He has only gotten better with age. He’s a lot older now.
Okay I see you beautiful queen. Get your inner rock on. But definitely check out the Righteous Brothers. They will blow you away with their soul and vocals. Start with You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling and then Unchained Melody.
Not a stupid question, others below who commented already gave you the information. I would say react to the studio versions first before doing the Live versions. I do recommend Slipknot's Spit it Out live at Download 2009, yes I'm aware of what I said >XD
Not a stupid question. They surprisingly have a lot of hip hop elements I their music. You can’t judge JD by the way he dresses and talks. That dude has crazy swag.
I'm just sayin'.... you need to market this reaction. No chit.... this is top 3 content avail on the Tube...... thank you so very much! Always makes my day. Repeat Offender. Affirmation not necessary.
I grew up on korn & as them as an influence. Along with linkin park and tupac and ICP. Along with many others but these artists stated stand the test of time.
Korn and Sevendust (black frontman fwiw) were the best live bands of that metal era imo. There were better artists like Deftones, System of a Down, Incubus, Tool, etc.; but Korn and Sevendust had just enough artistry while coupling it w/ unparalleled energy. If you delve into them more, I'd always recommend live versions. Enjoyed the reaction. :)
Korn is considered the original nu metal band. Fusing elements of different alternative metal genres (rap metal, funk metal, industrial metal, etc.) and grunging it up. The lyrical themes in nu metal, similar to doom metal and grunge rock, are usually pessimism, angst, melancholy, etc. with some exceptions. Slipknot would be, in my opinion, one of the Big 4 of nu metal, along with Linkin Park and Deftones, with Slipknot leaning closer to the "extreme metal" side of nu metal. The genre is usually criticized for being simplistic and "whiny," though fans appreciate the slower grooves and emotional honesty of many bands, though it does gain pop-music success in the late '90s/early 2000's. For "proto-nu metal" (my word, lol), I would check out funk and rap rock bands such as Rage Against the Machine and Faith No More (especially the song "Epic"). Also Public Enemy collaborated with thrash band Anthrax with "Bring the Noise" with being one of the earliest rap rock/metal acts along with Run-DMC and Aerosmith "Walk This Way."
Freak on a Leash off Issues. The genre is considered hard rock/ hiphop fusion but it's way more heavy/ hard rock to me. Linkin Park really does the rock/ hiphop fusion a little better. I love both bands. You should check out Linkin Park. They're really good.
You tube offers so many great things, debates and knowledge spanning every subject but I gotta say watching beautiful black woman head banging to heavy music is a thrill all to its own. Might be time to dip into a little Death Metal, its coming, I can feel it.
Korn has been my number one band since 1995. Slipknot Second. Please react to more Korn, they have 13 albums so lots of music to choose from. Freak on a leash is popular but not their best song by far. People pick it as they don't know Korn's discography so they go what's been radio friendly etc... Check out the entire new album "the nothing"; falling away from me, here to stay, somebody someone and coming undone to name a few.
New SUBSCRIBER!! I hope I can suggest some music for you. Seen a lot of older Rock & Roll. Great place to start, IMO. A recent group I've become a huge fan of is Starset. Haven't heard a song I don't like. Definitely checkout Five Finger Death Punch as well.
Hi I just texted you a minute ago but I forgot to tell you you have to check out got the life the Baseline in that in the singing harmonies I think you will really love it if you like this song even a little bit but you keep on doing what you doing girl I like to see you rocking out that's awesome
"Lit concert bro" well until people died and Limp Bizkit were blamed for it. In reality the only people to blame are the festival organizers. Poor crowd control, no free water, etc. But no apparently it's all Limp Bizkit's fault somehow. Oh and on that note check out some Limp Bizkit if you haven't.
Alright girl you got it!! I wanna marry you😉 and bring you to all kinds of of heavy metal concerts!! You'll fit right in!!😆😉. "I got some Ric Flair for that" 🤣😂🤣😂
I was at this concert... Some great music absolutely ruined by a shitty crowd and even shittier promoters. one bottle of water cost 6 bucks... a slice of shitty high school cafeteria pizza ONE SLICE was 8 bucks... it was on an old air force base runway and was 100 degrees all 3 days. They never emptied the porta potties and at the end the crowd burned the whole place to the ground in a riot... I was 16 and genuinely feared for my life.
Finally some Korn love after all this Slipknot craze. Everyone and their mom copying everyone else and reacting to Slipknot but forgot Korn inspired Slipknot
Not a stupid question. So don't feel bad. The genre is metal, but the sub-genre is nu-metal. The concept of this song is about the singer's(Jonathan Davis) battle against addiction to narcotics.
You we're rockin out with eyes closed at the best part of the video.....the audience when they first pan out😂
Rick clay she missed the best part of the whole video 🤣🤣🤣
Unbelievable 🙄
Rick clay man I was screaming
indeed.. hahah.. missed the best part..
Thought the exact same thing

watch Slipknot live 2009 "spit it out" crowd is insane like this ua-cam.com/video/ci0zMrrXWhM/v-deo.html
Shut your bitch ass up. I saw Korn in '97
so let's see. one is bragging about being violent on a metal concert, the other about seeing a band earlier than the other...
i see no metalheads here to be honest. this whole festival was just fucked up.
Korn are the pioneers of the 90's/00's Metal sub genre known as Nu-Metal.
And they were influenced by Faith No More.
It it's own style of music, I love korn .
4:20 Had her eyes closed during the best audience scene...
"I got some Rick Flair for that, WOOooo" Hahaha I pissed myself laughing
You should check out their official video of “Freak On A Leash!”
Right now is more elegant😂
Korn is great! You really should do their song Freak On A Leash
At this pont in 99 Korn was the absolute biggest band in the world out doing the big pop acts of the day
thats my top one favorite Korn song ARRREE YOUUUU REEEEEAAAAADYYYYY?
those faces lmao
If you want to check out more Korn you should try out freak on a leash, falling away from me, clown, or shoots and ladders. They're all great songs, I wouldn't recommend their song 'daddy' just yet as it's a bit full on for your first time listening to Korn
I don't think anybody is ever ready for daddy, but it's definitely a song that should be heard at least once.

Ken Red did you see bush? Lol
Didn't think bush could close out a show after Korn but they did.

Great rock music review 🙌👍. Rock like this is all about the suspense and switch up ❤️ from 🏴
I remember seeing this live on TV and recording it on VHS.
Loved the video and reaction.
Ps korns the last major music movement (Elvis,beetles,ozzy/Floyd,metallica,nirvana)
They still rock listen to their newer stuff.
Okay I see you beautiful queen. Get your inner rock on. But definitely check out the Righteous Brothers. They will blow you away with their soul and vocals. Start with You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling and then Unchained Melody.
During a Korn video you request Righteous Brothers lmao
@@jaeson05 I have no other choice LMAO

Man all those people, looks fun lol
I seen them in 06 with stonesour and defftones..very memorable night. They bring it Everytime 💯
Please do Korn Break Some Off. ALWAYS overlooked and one of their best songs. You'll get lit to the breakdown
Right no one gives that song credit it’s so fuckin bad ass that and let’s do this now
Or liar
Concerts dont compare to how they were before "smart" phones. Not even close.
Yea, I brought 2 disposable cameras with me, and didn't bring home any worthwhile shots.. just 1 ok one of Ice Cube..
That drop in the start is so fucking sick. Personally this song is one of the best beginnings to a Korn song for me.
Not a stupid question. They surprisingly have a lot of hip hop elements I their music. You can’t judge JD by the way he dresses and talks. That dude has crazy swag.
I was in the 3rd-4th row between Johnathan and Munky..it was incredible!!!! Life changing show!
KoRn is NuMetal.....combining classic Metal, Hip-Hop, Heavy Metal, and electronica!
They led the way into nu metal. YOU MUST REACT TO SHOOTS AND LADDERS!
I seen Korn in 99 at 16, good times...
i’m surprised you didn’t notice his kilt
I know I’m late af but I loved rocking with you on this song. Cheers!
The sunger of korn is one of the only singers I know that rocks a kilt and they are nu metal
Try their song Freak On a Leash official video.....🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’ve seen them live 4 times! Always phenomenal live!,
I was there during this show. Amazing weekend
I'm just sayin'.... you need to market this reaction. No chit.... this is top 3 content avail on the Tube...... thank you so very much! Always makes my day. Repeat Offender. Affirmation not necessary.
The video for Freak on a Leash is next level check it out!

Rip to whoever wasn't ready. Crowd was insane!
Korn had a lot of good songs. Just a few to react to are ADIDAS (explicit version), Freak on a Leash, and Got the Life.
I was front n center wat a festival wat a show great times to look back to

New subscriber. Love what I see so far. Plan on binge watching your videos later today. Keep it up girl. ✌️🖤🤘
Check out daddy by Korn. Be ready for a serious song
korn is called Nu metal but the band members say they don't really fit into any genre they are korn.
most if not all bands don't see themselves as any specific sub-genre of music as they just call themselves either Rock or Metal
You close your eyes at the best part!
Korn - freak on a leash
