It only came out in 2016 I don't think it considered a classic yet. I'd personally identify a game as classic if it came out around MW2 (the first one) era or older.

The movement and speed is incredible. A game ahead of its time. Crispy snipes, too. Good times.
Hardly ahead of its time, when you consider a considerable chunk of it was lifted straight from Tribes Vengeance (2004), particularly the grappling hook, but also jetpack (though effectively reduced to a double jump in Titanfall) and skiing (i.e. sliding), which were a thing in the Tribes series since 1998.

As someone who has been addicted to this game since release, seeing this happen really caught me off guard. I play lots of frontier defense, and when i noticed different waves of enemies than usual, and different music, I was freaking out.

Titanfall 2 is one of the coolest feeling games of all time. I still remember the first time I figured out I could rodeo a titan, one of my most favorite gaming moments.
I got to experience that a few days ago. I was like "wait... I can ride on top on my allies mechs? What happens if I do it with the enemy mechs? And got the biggest most pleasant surprise when I took the battery out and killed the titan.
At that moment, I knew this game was definitely for me.

I heard rumors that updates had been made and I'm super happy to hear that being confirmed, can't wait to play vanilla again. Also, while I'm as hopeful as everyone else that we one day will see a Titanfall 3, I must admit that at the moment I'm scared of what it would look like considering the amount of micro-transactions and the like we have in Apex.
you shouldn't be afraid, remember they made 2 "premium" games (cost money) after makign apex, and have no microtransactions, titanfall 3 will be a pay to play too, so it will do have microtransactions but it will be like the ones in titanfall 2, you pay for what you want

I actually quit apex to play titanfall and I am having so much more. Fun than with apex. Titanfall just feels so much more casual and the movement system is just so smooth. Also the campaign and speedrun potential will definitely have me hooked for a long time 😊
I started playing apex because of titanfall 2 and now it feels so refreshing to go back to my roots to in my opinion the better game
Well on Apex there's only one winner (or rather team) and the movment is much more restricted
In titanfall you eather win or lose 50/50 but even if you lose you can "a n" by entering the dropship and escaping

I think this is just the prelude to the Titanfall themed game modes/maps leaked a while ago for Apex Legends, that many people seemingly forgot about. We will probably get them next season given that Respawn is giving Titanfall some attention now. They probably want to have both games polished in case Titanfall gets some attention due to Apex.

@@_R_R_R Tbh, I am not even sure if it will be next season. The thing is, so many times they tease something and it is a tease for something 2 seasons later. For example Storm Point map change got teased last season, season 16, and will only come season 18. Same thing with Olympus.

it started out with a couple of devs working on titanfall in their own time as a passion project, since they would all play on the northstar launcher, they worked on and implemented the fixes of their own volition and were allowed to revive the official servers after all the fixes were made

Whenever I first bought this game the multiplayer was down I looked up the reasons and immediately became sad, the campaign of the game was genuinely amazing and made me cry and smile. I am going to immediately redownload it as this will be my first time able to play the multiplayer in it's full glory.

I missed (nostalgia, not didn’t watch) watching titanfall content on release. The action-packed, wall-running, and crazy bombastic titans was just the most fun I’ve ever had watching an fps. I didn’t realize until recently, but the reason I don’t feel anything for any sort of fps announcement/advertising is because my subconscious remembered titanfall, even though my brain never made the connection
