mozambique is not a shotgun, it has no damage falloff. It is in a quantum state of shotgun and sniper. It can win any distance fight

Some fun facts bout the guns for ya'll
101 and 201, when first added to the game, the 101 had the exact same stats, but after the monarch reigns DLC Respawn nerfed the 201s spray pattern. They must've forgotten to also do the same thing to the 101, so the 101 is literally just the 201 pre patch and the 201 is the up to date version post patch.
Hemlok Used to be the 2nd best gun in the game, with a 1 burst from close/medium ranges and amped damage making it a 1 burst anywhere on the map.
Mozambique used to be a secondary til Respawn saw how fuckin OP it was
Devotion was BROKEN, especially with A-Wall Pilot.
you used to Either be able to choose a secondary OR an anti-titan weapon, not both, leading to titans lasting a lot longer against pilots cos people wouldn't run AT weapons as commonly.
MGL Was super OP higher damage, more range and 2 more Nades by default, pretty much noone used anything but that and the charge rifle back in the day.
Eva-8 was a lot better than now, I believe it could 2 shot from close/medium range, and 1 shot with Amp. they nerfed it and increased the mastiffs range, but people still just used the Eva lmao.
Amped weapons used to last until you died, meaning if you could survive or find a dinky little camping spot, you could have a godly damage boost pretty much all game, fucked up weapon balances fr.

id like to add to this that phaseshift used to have two charges that each lasted 2 seconds where now you get one that last around 4 instead
laser shot on ion used to cost less energy and do more damage
Back in the ooooooooold days, the Wingman Elite was also a secondary (I mean I get why they did it, I _absolutely_ used it like a primary alongside my Sidewinder) and you could use the Devo like a poor man's G2.

Edit1:I mean no ones gonna say "wow youre so good" when you get car kills. My friends say im good because i get kills with softball a hard weapon to play. Also most of the times i get kills why im having fun not tryhard.

Been playing TF2 since Beta and I remember the days that the Devotion,G2,and Hemlock were all everybody used due to their broken stats which the best comparison for nowadays would be like having 3 variants of the spitfire running around. Glad to see game is playable again tho. Time to hop back in.
Ya weapon balance in this game is in a pretty good spot now and it’s definitely time to hop back in Pilot🫡
the funniest thing is that CAR became the best weapon in the game not because it was buffed, because it has never been changed, but because all the weapons that were better were nerfed

mozambeast in D tier is gut wrenching
Bought tf2 on my ps4 a few months ago and ive been grinding it like crazy. The epg is so much fun. I like playing support as a pilot and trying to destroy enemy titans. The epg shreds both pilots and titans paired with firestars it's awesome
Ya I’ve been trying to master the EPG. Never really touched the thing until now. It’s extremely satisfying to use.
is fun to see how a tier list changes depending on if the player uses controller or mnk, for example all smgs, snipers and shotguns go a rank higher in PC
I play on PC but with a controller lol. I know what you mean though. I feel like it’s like that in every game
The EVA and G2 are some of my favorite weapons. I play on PC, so the EVA spread helps me land my shots, and since I’m not comfortable with snipers, the G2 helps me fill that niche without having to play super passively. But that’s my opinion.
As a car user, I agree with where you put the car.
It’s definitely the best gun in the game
I’ve been using the Eva 8 and I honestly really like it. It’s one shot if your close enough, and that makes my simple mind very happy. 😂
I would say that anyone who never had the pleasure of playing against Calfx will never really understand what the Eva 8 can do in the right hands

I think people also forget it fires significantly faster in full auto, so even if you miss one shot, you can still kill pretty quickly

Thunderbolt isn’t on the list because it’s and Anti Titan weapon. Plus I only use the charge rifle because I like to kill goosed pilots 😂
Mastiff is awsome when you get used to it. The amount of chemicals my brain releases when hitting al the pellets while predicting a pilot direction at close range is enormous

As a mastiff main, getting midrange kills is actually possible and very satisfying with it, and there is no difference in the spread between hip firing and aiming
I like to rock the sidewinder SMR on my anti titan load out because it does some pretty good damage and if you pair that with a good AT weapon you could drop 5 to 6 titan kills

Ok for the Devotion u absolutly gotta play with Stim and Run N Gun mod on Devotion, and for the love of god prefire this weapon there is no other mods u should run with this weapon even if u r playing at range I absolutely recommend u have stim and run n gun and the mod for the pilot kills = tactical is also a must. It takes some skill to use this gun but if u use it right and with that stim, run n gun and something to decrease the tactical cool down it is actually pretty good and hella fun to use.

Ya that was my goal. This game has very good weapon balancing for the most part (Except CAR and Spitty lol) so it’s hard to rank them super accurately. I put a lot of thought into this list though so I’m happy with my (Personal) rankings.
The fact that this game had so little updates but still has better gun balance than cs:go and ALL guns are fun to use (depending on the person) is incredible. No hate but I disagree with the list, I would put mastif and kraber in s tier but with this game the list is just subjective since the only gun that is bad is a gun you haven't gotten used to since even the secondaries and the mele are a viable option and the only ones that stand above the rest are car and to some degree yes the spitfire while the rest have their time to kill balanced with skill needed to use or firerate/spread. All in all you can 1v1 any gun with any gun with being at the same skill level as the other person which to me is something no other game achieves and what makes the gunfights in TF|2 soo satisfying
Every gun is S tier in the right hands and I love that as well. It keeps the game from getting boring because you can always try different loadouts.
I'm a Softball and Coldwar main, and the reason I use them is not because they are the strongest weapons persay, but because of the reaction of 6 CAR mains after collectively getting wiped by a single shot

DMR was always one of my favorites, on both TF1 and TF2. Odd to put the Wingman in A tier and not the DMR. The G2A was probably my fav in TF1 and still is fantastic... better than the DMR for medium to long range.

Ya you just need to practice with that thing. It’s tough to use but when you go off with it it’s incredibly satisfying
One of the biggest frustrations I see with kraber is you have to suffer through learning it and any aim or movement input you do will offset the projectile in that direction so that is something you just have to learn to deal with
@@ThatAngryJho-td3xe for me the worst thing about the kraber is that is the weapon that plays the most different from the rest, which means after using other weapons for a few matches it takes you like 5 macthes to use the kraber right again
I only use the grenedir weapons juat cause they are all so fun to use lol (I have 700 kills with the softball 💀)
Hey man, like I said you can dominate with any gun in the game. I personally just hate that thing lol. EPG for me when it comes to grenadiers.

@@sternwardboss If you are in a pilot fight, just wait until the enemy is about to land on the ground and fire in that spot. Splash damage is your best friend when using these weapons!

Personally my top three guns are ( primary only) R-201 car and kraber

Boo Grenadier class are so high tier
EPG imo highest tier one, probably followed by Softball and SMR with Coldwar in last, tho cold war is a pretty fun gun.
Apart from Grenadier and Shotgun classes (id move both up like 2 tiers) and Mozambique (I'd say like, an A tier I think it is as good as Mastiff tbh). Also I really enjoy L-Star and its a bit easier to transition to from my most used guns that are like, all projectile, compared to SMGs etc. R-101 is hella fun though, I'd say its my favourite AR and Volt is favourite SMG because it just feels so damn clean.
Volt is SO clean. Still trying to master the EPG. I only use it on complex though lol
@@sternwardboss Volt is one of the most satisfying guns in the game for that reason imo few normal guns feel anywhere near as satisfying to shred with.
also yeah, EPG does work weirdly well on Complex. Of the grenadiers, I think it is most successful generally, whereas cold war particularly struggles on some maps.

This is a fun video to watch of a more average player’s pov from what I am seeing gameplay wise. A lot of what I am seeing struggle wise from you is straight up basic movement mechanics if you want something to work on for bettering yourself. Great content for people getting into the game at the moment that want a decent feel for more grounded play relevance of weapons.

I am just saying that based off the clips that you supplied for the video not trying to offend anyone. There is a lot of fairly static play and most of the people you are shooting at aren’t even reacting by the time you kill them, but it is just snippets of gameplay not the bigger picture.

Sorry that I poked through your thin skin with attempting to give some constructive criticism that you would do better if you improved your movement on a public forum about your thoughts and experiences. From my point of view in the video you are fairly static in a lot of situations. As you know all shooters and your potential in them are based off you awareness, accuracy and ability to use movement to take advantage of those two things. I feel like I am watching a person that is generally a good amount above average in most shooters with aim and awareness but you aren’t quite taking advantage of basic movement mechanics and relying more and positioning and a half understanding of some more advanced mechanics to get you kills. It isn’t like what you are doing is wrong, but you do have a lot of room you can grow in the game from what I saw as far as movement.
Thin skin? Lol bro you’re blind if you think my gameplay is “Static” ya with certain guns i play more “static” but that’s by choice not because I don’t know how to fly. You act like I’m camping in spawn with a shield and Spitfire 😂. I’m guessing you’re probably one of those guys who Stims and is constantly in the air. That’s fine that’s your play style. I like to fly but I also like to ground myself because guess what?? Most pilots are looking up for Pilots like yourself. I don’t like flying everywhere at all times. I used to love the carbines, 201 specifically infact the first and believe only weapon i max leveled with stoic black camo and everything. But years later up to now when ive started playing again and when i used the 201 for old times sake the damn things got so much recoil, did they nerf it over the years because i swear it was never as shaky as it is now

ADS with the mastiff it chokes the spread its the same with Mozambique, and used amped weapons it = waaayyyy more one shots it still will wiff sometimes tho (too far away)

The mastiff actually has a significantly longer one shot range if you ads with it. If you don’t believe me go test it with a friend in a private. It also has one of the most drastic movement damage bonuses in the game even when compared to other energy weapons so keep that speed up.

@@ThatAngryJho-td3xe yeah, in the 10 meter range hip fire is ok, but further than that is better to ads, after I learned this knowledge my performance with mastiff increased a lot
The volt is *NOT* hit scan. It has the fastest flying projectile of all the projectile guns. You can definitely notice at longer ranges that is it actually isn’t hipfire.

@@sternwardboss well, there is really only one way to forever resolve this. Custom match.
I think all the rapid movement mechanics like wall run and slide should be behind certain perks to a degree. Hear me out! If chosen it causes you to sacrifice other great perks. This would force a good percentage of players to stop using the super fast agressive playstyle that is the meta. In turn making all the abilities that aren't graple or stim mich more feasible to play with. Combine this with a broader mix of map design to include some open long range maps, maps with entire quaters that titans cant even shoot into, or areas with no way for wall running and you'll allow for more playstyles.
For example: all players can wall run and slide by default etc but its only with a certain perk combination that you gain the acceleration and extra wall run/slide disrance that is currently standard.
This way run and gun mayhem will still be just as feasible but so will all the abilities and weapons that are currently useless.

It wouldn't be limited, the changes I described would allow for what we have now and more. What I'm suggesting would serve TFs current fan base and bring in more.
It's not all about movement, that's inaccurate, titans aren't all about movement, infact some like tone with its shield are about positing well and staying there. Some abilities like A wall are about defensive strategies.
If you want it to be only about movement the ok fine. Get rid of the useless classes and weapons or find a way to fix them or somthing to replace them with. But that will result in all the classes and weapons performing virtually the same, which is boring, shutting out a larger audience. Currently there are two viable classes and 3.5 categories of weapons that are useful. It's so disappointing to see all these cool gadgets and weapons only to find out 70% sucks!
I don't think the entire community would be unhappy. But I don't like to speak for other people.
@sternwardboss Titanfall is also about: scifi, shooting, strategy, pvp, pve, level grinding, rng loot and much more.
It's clear as day to me that Titanfall isn't successful because of its movement. What make Titanfall so good is that it takes the best aspects of so many games and combines them into what is, in concept, the perfect game. The special forces vibes of ghost recon combined with the jet fighter pilot fantasy. The gorgeous armour and weapons of halo. The dopamine spike of moving through a world in mirrors edge. The PVE and PVP combined multilayer better than most MMOs! Lore worthy of a star wars reboot. The outright obsurdety of Warhammer drop pods.
Respawn formed from people fed up of call of duty representativeness BECOMING BORING. The same thing every year, so desperate to be more of the same.
How can you not see that the Titanfall concept was to broad and so compete, and you call yourself a Titanfall fan? Like any piece of art it got things right and messed up others. They got the movement right, but they messed up a lot of ballence.
I want to see the true Titanfall concept become real. I've had games that are just more of the same and they all suck 3, 4 or 5 instalments in.

I’ve answered this question before and I don’t feel like doing it again tbh. It doesn’t matter how much time I have in the game. Even if I told you 2500+ hours you’d probably say im a noob or something. Don’t mean to be a dick I’m just sick of hearing everybody tell me I’m trash at the game and know nothing:) lol

How do you have such little screen shake with r201
Not sure lol. It’s still pretty shaky to me. I also control the recoil with little circular motion. I don’t just pull down. I pull down and do little circles if that makes sense. It helps with the shake a bit

It seems like everything has potential if the player knows how to use it. It's a sign that Titanfall is fairly balanced, it's not perfect, but you have potential to win fights no matter what you use. Some take more skill than others and the that's perfectly fine for veteran players. AR's and SMG's have just as much potential, but they are much easier to use, making them great for new players. I'll take this over COD or Apex any day.

the r-101 has 25% less vertical recoil

I’ve actually been trying it again. It’s a BEAST but the projectile velocity on it is SOO slow. Extremely satisfying? YES but it’s just not for me to main. I do bust it out though. Usually on smaller maps. It’s satisfying as hell

The Cold War is actually much better than you expect if you can use it right.
I know it’s a decent gun I’ve just always hated it. It’s definitely my least favorite gun in the game
I always use it in complex, is so fun to get my ronin in the first minute of the match

Volty has always been one of my favorite guns
One of my favourite classes in the game to use, is SMR A-wall. People simply don't understand how unnecessarily fast you can shred a titan. I typically fire a thunderbolt shot, then start spraying with the SMR, and if you play your cards right, can delete a legion very fast. 10/10 class.

how can someone hop on titanfall and use the least exciting guns in the game. like u would rather use a r-101 over the (the much more interesting and satisfying) smr, softball or mozambique etc. i understand not everyone likes projectile weapons but sticking someone across the map with a softball while they're moving at mach 3 is a huge dopamime hit
Kraber isn’t exciting? Wingman elite isn’t satisfying? EPG isn’t satisfying? L Star isn’t satisfying? Did we not watch the same video? I’m sorry but the Softball is my least favorite gun. I’d rather use the EPG or anything else. If you shred with it and enjoy it then cool. I’m sure you dominate with it but I’ve always hated it. It’s just my opinion:)

When half the enemy team is using car and the other half is using spitfire which r the 2 most broken, unbalanced, and in my opinion most unfun weapons in the game then I have a right to complain and judge them. Especially when I fight them for the 10 match in a row and they haven't changed their load out or titan once
@@styxlavender5393 maybe that's just the weapon they like the most, they wont enjoy all the game has to offer but that's their problem, and except they have perfect aim, which is not the case of the people that only plays those guns, you have a lot of ways to kill them
