- I have no idea why I waited this long to play Titanfall 2, and while the achievements weren't super difficult (6/10 difficulty), they were extremely enjoyable to go for.

Even though Titanfall isn’t “new” it still has better gameplay and graphics than 90% of FPS games today. One of my favorites.
It was absolutely criminal that titanfall 2 didn't get the coverage it deserved. They gave us everything we asked for after the first game, campaign, pve, new titans, you name it. They expanded on everything and there was no marketing or anything. I maintain hope for titanfall 3

You can thank the Source Encine for that one. Titanfall 2 runs on a heavily molded version of it, so that also means b-hopping and air strafing, meaning the potential for insane mobility (such as Grapple and stim utilizing) are almost limitless

It's an awesome game, it's a shame it didn't perform commercially well at the time, if it was released today it would corner the FPS multiplayer market, truly underrated gem, and I'm glad I tried it this year and I am truly thankful for the devs and everyone that dedicated so much into making it, even EA.

As someone who beat G. Sager by getting 24.50 seconds, I can tell you that shit takes work. You gotta get an exact course of action planned out and executed perfectly; any little mistake and it's a restart. Just watching this got me sweating my balls off just remembering going through that course for literal hours trying to master it. Kudos to you for getting that achievement so quick.
So how long did it take you to learn grenade boosting?

Gauntlet Speedrunner Here.
Beating the Top 3 takes actual skill. You need to fully understand the mechanics of this game *and* the path you plan to take. This leave little room for error and even less for large mistakes.
Simply jumping off a wall too late can ruin a perfect run, and I'm not even getting into the techniques people use to go fast.
Few Gameplay Notes:
The Malta didn't go Down. When Viper attacks, he dropped you on the Draconis. It's the Draconis (u know, the one you're chasing and has the ark) that goes down. The Malta even shows up on the final dash to the Ark, commanded by the 6-4 (the ship you helped to clear), to help clear your way.
Each Boss are supposed to have "upgraded" variants of titans you play as
Kane - Scorch
Ash - Ronin
Viper - Northstar
Richter - Tone
Slone (Sloan?) - Ion
Blisk - Legion
(You don't get to fight blisk ;-;)

I always kill MRVNs. Ever since I died to one in Titanfall 1, as it blocked me from getting inside to escape an enemy titan, it has been my goal to kill every single MRVN on every map, with every opportunity i get. For every MRVN you spare, it is five I kill.

Hearing Ion being called the "sniper" loadout feels kinda funny.
Anyway, a few pointers to the gauntlet:
1. Starting the run from a wallride before the start gives some extra speed.
2. The reasoin arc grenades don't hit seem to be no LoS. The small platforms sometimes apparently block the grenades LoS so it doesn't hit.
Also I believe the first Pilot helmet is bit sooner, on the drop pod with the prowlers. I might be wrong tho, it's been a few months for me

For the gauntlet I did a grenade boost to start which gives a big boost of speed
@@thatderpcakeguy1131 I generally don't do nade boosting. I don't have an excuse for why, I simply suck, but you can still get the 3rd place without them pretty easily if you hit your shots. But anyone who can do the boost has my respect
@@rans0mware boost just needs consistency. You need to subconsciously know when a nade explodes. Frags need to be your second nature lol
You inspired me to "become the master" after countless attempts,as of today, I have gotten the "becomes the master" achievement. I had a time of 32:90 to get the achievement. Thank you Cronkle. 😁

I did 100% of this, just to show my love and passion with this game, it transports me to another world, galaxy...i just love it so much, and together with volkor X's tracks I just go berserker mode while vibing, and i was thinking about replaying it again lol

I'm a titanfall fan boy nerd, and this was great to see. Always enjoyed seeing more people going to the game one way or another. Tho I will say a couple of the titan loadouts descriptions incorrect. Ash was simply a beefy ronin meaning she phases, hot invisible. And Ion isn't specifically a sniper, but a jack of all trades with 1 (albeit really great) snipe ability. But im just nitpicking, you did great

i mostly see ion as a 1v1 shutdown since vortex shield throws projectiles back, laser is good at poking far away, and tripwire is for if they get to close tho it’s not the greatest. laser core is to melt single target aka me thinking 1v1 titan

I actually want respawn to create the game not some third party developer they weren't even using the source engine they built for Titanfall 2 they were still using the source engine they built for Titanfall 1
if it comforts you to know... you could use the little wall before the gauntlet to gain massive time as you start at a much higher speed than if you just ran
Tips by me for your titanfall gameplay :
- if you don't master the jump + slide movement in this game, you're screwed (it means, once you have enough speed to slide, slide then jump and press your crounch button immediatly after your jump : it will count as a new slide, which will make you go faster as your keep doing the same repetition.)
It will make your life a lot easier, and you would have done the last achievement much faster
- also, don't forget that if you're wallrunning, if the wall changes direction but still one the same side, you can jump on the other wall and it will count as a new wallrun, allowing to stay longer on the wall. Most weapons shoot straight without looking at the sight so don't moderate on wallrunning and shooting, plus its badass
- no need to double jump if you aim for speed, use if only necessary to change walls or to go farther than expected
5:13 the spiders are the main problem here, it took me around 1-2 hrs just to clear it on the hardest Difficulty
The truck is too never stop moving around while passing near ticks to make them explode

I always referred to the highest difficulty as "NSP" or Non-Stop Parkour. Because only while sliding and wallrunning can the AI not hit you, like at all.
On that the whole Difficulty suggestion being based on how well you parkour is incredibly apt.

Just finished this games campaign for the first time yesterday (on hard, in about 5.5 hours) so this video is also coincidentally a great guide for me to follow
I remember playing Titanfall 2 and being like “oh my god, how the hell can anyone beat this gauntlet in less than 40 seconds, and after about 40 hours in multiplayer, I played the campaign again for the achievements, I accidentally got “…Becomes the Master”
Bro it took me 4 hours to get become the master. I started at 8 PM and ended at midnight and couldn’t stop my hands from shaking after gripping my controller so hard.
This game is incredible… one of my favorites of all time, easily. Best movement of any game

The level where it swarms you with ticks, if you head to where the stairs meet the toxic sludge, you can wall run between the three platforms in that bottom section. The mercs can't hit you and as long as you keep moving you are usually out of the ticks explosion radius.
Love the content! I will say, it might be nice to see the ‘chievos but pop on screen when you earn them. I think for us the viewer, it adds the cherry on top for high quality vids like this. Keep up the grind my dude!
I love this game, and I remember trying to get the “Becomes the master” achievement before I learned advanced movement. I got it after a week, and then a month later I got it 2nd try. 😂 amazing game with a great skill ceiling.

I am so glad to be a part of the platinum club for this game, but holy hell master difficulty was such a pushover.
Makes me want to go back and get the last 4 I haven’t done lol. Kinda scared of the play on the hardest difficulty one but it’s the last hard one I have left. Did “becomes the master” a couple years ago
Edit: I did it! I beat the game on the hardest difficulty and got all the achievements. I must admit that I did use some speed running skips to get past two very hard sections though (that room with all the waves of enemies and ticks in like the second level, and dome because I didn’t want to deal with the reaper). Everything else was surprisingly easy and didn’t take a ton of attempts to do. The actual last achievement I unlocked was the one where you kill 25 enemies in 2 seconds. I had to reset a lot for that one
Try it, trust me Im nearly done on Master. The first 10 min are pure rage but the rest will feel like a breeze
honestly it not that rough. I loved titanfall and its one of the games I proudly 100%. As long as you abuse cloak and specter? spectre? hack then you should be good. Balance ammo and use grenades well and you're golden. It seems difficult but its pretty simple since I assume you've beat it atleast once before. You got this :D
I did it a few weeks ago. Can be frustrating at times, but it makes it a neat little challenge. And it's nice being part of the 3.4% (gonna try to go for a Pilot-only master run, but doubt that I'll get far)

a simple but effective thing that helped me with that last achievement was wallrunning through the start sign, it gives you a speed boost to start out with
I used to play this game when I was younger and I found out the if you place down a grenade and give urself a boost with it you can complete it really quickly. Also if you bounce from wall to wall in the little rectangle where u start the gauntlet, it gives you a boost too, hope this helped

I'm glad this got recommended to me because I'm only missing a small handful of the trophies in this game and seeing this reminded me of how awesome this game still is. The biggest hurdle will be finishing master difficulty since I sat down and grinded the pilot gauntlet a long time ago.

I still think master difficulty was harder than the gauntlet, even though the gauntlet trophy was hard as hell. Though I did place first on the ingame leaderboards.
Bro the one part in the dome simulation on master is utter hell. I spent so long on that it was insane.
10:51 what I always try to do is, turn time to the present, execute someone, go to the present again and rinse and repeat, it’s always funny to think about how someone suddenly appeared, killed Jonny, disappeared after using his fist and suddenly time changes and you die
Tip for the ticks on level 3 don’t stop moving and stay on the walls also if you run the perimeter counter clockwise you will drag them on a path that slows them down across the main roof this is where you turn around and blow them all up with one shot and you just rinse and repeat this until you finish up in that area I can do that mission with out a single death with this tactic also use throwables as you pass over grunts
Maybe if you want to you could do titan fall with mods and stuff, i think that would be so fun :) or maybe a 100 day series?
Honestly didn’t even know titanfall 2 had mods lol. Might be worth checking out for sure! As for the 100 day series, i thought about doing something like that in the future. Just have no idea how I would put it together right this second.

I beat every achievement just a week ago after finally picking it up on sale, I completed the campaign and just wanted more Titanfall. It took me like 5 hours to get "the becomes the master" achievement. Super fun game

the trial it is very usefull to learn how to use the grenade and slide jump i was once on the first place like 2 years ago and after redownloading it yesterday i had some issues getting third
also a tip like another 5 months later when you do the moving platform things on master i think its best if you avoid the fighting as much as you possibly can because thats what i did and i did that flawlesly even tho i havent played the game for 5 months
7:06 "Why am I addicted to punching things" most relatable moment. I am playing the campaign for the third time, this time with a top 5 guantlet score, getting me recommended hard difficulty, punching is why I keep dying
I still remember the first time downloading it. I literally couldn’t wait so I opened it when it said “ready to start”. I’m going to repeat the playthrough again because it was so much fun back in the day and now I think it will be a “blast from the past” of sorts.
So if you want to get a faster time( this is how the fastest time was reached) you can use a technique called frag boosting, I’m not sure of the specifics but I do know that you can use frag grenades to give you a MASSIVE speed boost. I’d love to see this revisited with frag boosting for en even FASTERA time.
Also noticing the lethal league blaze soundtrack in the background. you might have some very good taste mister

I’ve probably put hundreds of hours in titanfall 2, and can get top 3 pretty on the gauntlet pretty easily, so here’s some tips:
1. Get a wall running start. It really helps a lot to increase your speed.
2. Always stay in the air. Usually it’s never a good idea to go on the ground, except for the section where you slide under the bar.
3. Use the secret epg. It makes it so you don’t have to aim perfectly and there’s no bullet drop or anything else.
4. For large groups of enemies use arc grenades. It takes them out all at once.
Hope this helps for anyone who needs it!

Back in 2019 I failed to get a achievement, two days ago when I learned how to frag boost did I finally manage to get the “Becomes the Master…” Achievement, I feel at ease now
I got "The Student" achievement before the game even finished downloading, since the game lets you play the gauntlet before the entire game is installed
I remember looking up speed run tactics years ago to try and get the fastest time in the training run. I know I got the achievement after some hours of practice, but I don’t think I ever got the top time. It’s been too long:/
Ik you might not see this but I love you video, it made me want to try Titanfall 2 and it has been the most fun I have ever had in so long, campaign was a bit sad(bt’s death) and also super fun(viper was the only hard part) and the end is monumental, and the multiplayer is super fun running the ronin and I owe it to you
в части с клещами (до босс файта с Кейном , тайм код: 5:20 ) можно залезть на одну из платформ и вжавшись в угол прыгать назад то в лево то в право, тогда пилот будет цепляться за углы стен и можно будет эвойдить контакт с клещами. с пехотой даже в такой неудобной позе можно разбираться, дальше ждём полной очистки и просто с этой же платформы по правой от нас стене бежим к БТ, тогда нам ни пехота ни клещи уже не будут страшны. по крайней мере так проходил я, и это была одна из самых затяжных миссий в компании. дольше был только сборочный цех Эш, на сам путь к стрельбищу 45 минут - 1 час, и на разборки со спектрами и жнецами. в итоге я прошёл этот сектор бегая по полигону, дождался браво-капу и на невидимости просто сбежал. драться со жнецами на мастере без титана просто смертеподобно. 15 минут я проходил этап, который на высокой сложности я пролетел за 4.30. какого фига сложность выше на 1 уровень, а этап стрельбой становится почти не проходимым? неужели сложность настолько различна между этими близкими сложностями?

As someone who just got 100% tlday, yeah there are some crazy spots… *glances at 6-4 & Sarah*
there's movement tech that if you learn to do consistently can make the achievements a cakewalk, i only got 100% after like 200 hours of multiplayer so it was really easy.
tip for anyone trying this; when i did the master achievement, at 4:50 in the video, i would wall run between the far right platform, the middle room, and the left platform. i rinsed and repeated while trying my best to optimize my cloaking, and with (a ton of luck and retrying), i got past it. i think he brushed past how long that section really takes, but it helps to keep the video short and fun (or maybe i was just really bad and was awful the whole time 😢)
idk if someone has said but you can interupt the speech in effect and cause and the audio log will change
One of the easiest places to get to kill 25 grunts in a few seconds achievement is literally right near the end of the game, when you have to crouch in BT to walk through this small little corridor and many grunts run through it, the easiest way to get that achievement is by popping Smart core in that corridor.
Did something similar on a game of Marked for Death. Was playing pulseblade and I tossed the blade in some random direction and the Mark somehow just happened to double jump in the direction of my blade and I got the kill. Needless to say I couldn’t believe what happened.
I finally got my platinum trophy on titanfall about 3 days ago and I was so proud, it’s my 4th platinum and now battlefront 2 is gonna be my 5th I wish titanfall 2 servers were more active though

On Effect and Cause, I had fun going to the past, executing a grunt, then going to the future, going behind the next guy, going to the past and immediately executing them
Because I’m in no life to beat this game, I went to the speed run discord and got help by learning more skips than you can imagine after learning said, skips and getting super fast and so I could skip most encounters. I beat the master campaign with barely any issues
just finished my 4th playthrough of the campaign and this game is still my favorite FPS since BLOPS 1

The hidden EPG by the weapons before the gauntlet is a life saver
in chapter "the ark" you aren't in Malta after Viper catechs you. He simply fly with you and BT towards Draconis, a IMC ship that we were in pursuit.
Ion loadout isn't the sniper loadout, Northstar is. Ion is more like loadout created to medium-short battle.
Ash is using Ronin, the same stuff you get on the beginning of chapter "The beacon".
But ignoring that, great video, dude. I love to see new players in my all time favorite game. I spend like 2000h in Titanfall and yet I feel like I didn't play it that much... Heh.. ^^"

this is the first game I ever 100 percented at age 10, i played this game endlessly and religiously. I was so upset when i found out that respawn were abandoning this game in favour for a battle royale (a genre i despised at the time). im 21 this year, have been playing apex a fair bit since the release of ash and catalyst later on and i have to say while i was being brash about disliking apex, i definitely wouldnt mind going back to my favourite movement based multiplayer shooter.
As another person who got all achievements for the game, after awhile "...Becomes the master" is actually pretty fun. Same with legendary pilot. Titanfall is way better when it's hard.
And remember, always keep moving.
The thing i am most proud in my life is that in tf2 game J. Cooper is the first name u read on the scoreboard with a time of exactly 21 seconds
i love the platform level becaus you can be verry lazy and just skip the bulk of the level while just staying on the platform, and love the content keep up the good work
Ngl, I spent 5 hours getting the gauntlet achievment, it was a literal chore, I didn't know there was a hidden weapon and did it with the Alternator, but I got so good at wallrunning and run and gunning that I wiped everyone in MP.
I’m so happy about someone actually playing this game
