So far the best blend I have seen on UA-cam. I also recommend not adding essential oil’s until you removed the blend from the heat, because high heat will destroy your central oil’s. However, I probably would avoid essential oil’s all together as you don’t want that into your eyeballs....

When I use the oil, I blend them together with a hand mixer. It gives the texture a creamy feel also it won't hard as much. ;)

Can you break down the exact measurement in grams??? It’s a big difference when measuring out a product that is shaved into a teaspoon versus a product that also comes in pearl size portions

If you add a few drops of rosemary essential oil, you will have your natural preservative and can stretch this for longer. Doubly so if you also add a carrier oil high in vitamin E, or a capsule of vitamin E oil itself. Personally, I prefer a high-antioxidant, dry carrier oil such as rosehip, because it minimizes smearing throughout the day. One other tip: for brown mascara, or black-brown, use raw cacao powder.

    • @CopperHueCollectionsChippewa

None of these are natural preservatives.

@@CopperHueCollectionsChippewa I'll have to look into this because many people say Vitamin E is a preservative...thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Good recipe. Could I try this with fresh aloe from the plant itself? Also could I leave out the lavender oil?

Grapeseed oil is a natural preservative. Add a few drops in there & that takes care of that. Ty very much for sharing.

Please make more makeup videos I’m seriously sick of buying makeup already haha I know companies purposely sell their products in small amounts so you have to keep buying. Also I’m from Auckland but live in California now, much love.

Hello. You will be pleased not to be here in 'locked-up-lock-down' Auckland! Actually it's not that bad and thankfully Spring almost arrived yesterday. Yes yes yes, I will do more skincare and makeup. It's ridiculous the price and tbh isn't that hard to make. Although mine don't have long shelf life, I find it a fun activity once a month. Before this current lock-down, a gathering of friends and a 🍷 with the girls was an equally fun time. Keep safe Astar

Essential oils should be used with caution when applying near the eye area. Most are not safe for use around the eyes, and will cause redness, stinging, and even swelling. Make sure the label on the bottle says it is 'SAFE FOR EYES'. Many essentials oils are not cold-pressed and not "100% pure", so there are preservatives and other "fragrances" added and this can cause problems when used around the eyes. BE CAREFUL!!!

Not true, you can use rosemary and others on your lashes and brows to grow them, just be an adult and be careful.

Do not put lavender oil near your eyes-it will melt and get inside you eye and that is not good. The video is all over the place and very hard to follow. It needs to be more organized with less irrelevant talking. OY!
